The perfect place.
It is cool in summer, warm and bright in winter.
It's a pleasure to come once a week to the new arrivals department, and then go down to the 1st floor and have a coffee.
You can choose a room for any vibe: a large/small reading room, a table between shelves with books or choose a secluded armchair with large windows 😍
There is free WiFi and there are always several free exhibitions.

But be prepared for the fact that the observation elevator, which takes you to the 23rd floor, will be occupied. And if there is a delegation there, you risk not getting into it at all. You will be offered to take the usual service elevator. Of course, after the inspection, you can go down on the observation deck. But again, you have to wait from 5 to 15 minutes. This, of course, somewhat spoiled the impression, but it's still worth going up.

We didn't stay in the library for long, it was time to close, but at first glance it was very beautiful inside. There is a queue for the observation deck in the evening, and because of this it is very stuffy in the elevator. On the observation deck itself, there is a wonderful view through stained glass, which is a huge minus, so you can only admire it normally on the stairs.

I went on a one-time pass for 2Br. I really liked the inside calmly atmospheric quiet with interesting interior paintings. I sat and read a couple of books in the reading room. Everyone was kind-hearted. Very tasty in the buffet ready-made food cutlets with potatoes and salads! The cost also includes an exhibition of national costumes and a museum of books. I spent about 3 hours in the library.

An unusual building, for a small fee, you can visit three floors of the library. In addition to the reading rooms, various exhibition halls are located on the floors. The children and I especially liked the museum of the history of books and the gallery of paintings on the second floor in the center of the building (I recommend) You can just take an interesting walk and stare at the library, spend about 1.5 hours and you will not regret it. I did not go up to the observation deck, there is nowhere to look from there :-) alone at home.

Having visited many viewing platforms (in Moscow there is an abundance of this, and there are many throughout the Russian Federation, without taking trips abroad) I didn't expect a "wow". But it was there. I can't even say exactly why. Most likely, I saw a huge number of green spaces on the wide panorama of the capital, a wide, but almost empty, Independence Avenue. My life has prepared me little for the fact that the capital can be like this - bright, but calm; noisy, but without chaotically visual garbage; built-up, but with a lot of greenery. I was very pleased with the gallery on the 22nd floor, local artists - it was interesting for me to see, and the guys had great advertising! I recommend you to visit!

After a long break, I went on a tour of the three floors of the library. We saw an exhibition of books presented to the President of Belarus, and went to the museum of rare books. Everything is very interesting. I will also come with a reader's ticket to see exhibitions in galleries and take a better look at old books. We were in one of the buffets, leaves much to be desired, I want to modernize the assortment and layout. But this is, of course, my subjective opinion.
