I love this airport. It is small, compact, bright and clean. Everything is at hand and clear pointers. The food and coffee are hasty and of good quality.
After perestroika, it became more modern. There are plenty of places to sit. Calm. The control works quickly and smartly.
Minus. One business room. And it doesn't work on the ONE PASS system.
A good compact and at the same time spacious airport, I would like to note separately the cleanliness, it is almost perfect.
BUT I have not waited for luggage anywhere for so long, they did not give out luggage for more than an hour, which is why I do not understand.
Modern, comfortable, clean! There are many places to wait-so you don't have to stand, even when many flights are departing! A good Dutik, where you can generally buy everything you need-including all sorts of national gizmos (sweets, drinks, souvenirs, etc.), if for some reason you could not do it in the city (although the price tag will be noticeably higher than at the bazaar). Of the minuses - there is no luggage storage in the registration hall (at least that's what I was told) and one bathroom in the departure waiting room - in my opinion it's not enough -there are queues when there are many flights:((
The airport is under renovation. Very clean and tidy. The scoreboard is huge, the inscriptions are easy to read. The only thing is, in my opinion, there are few chairs for waiting in the registration hall.
A beautiful clean and bright airport. And most importantly, fast!! Upon arrival, 4 planes landed at the same time. All the passport control booths were opened. I have never passed through passport control so quickly. What was my surprise when I had not yet managed to move away from the passport control area as my suitcase was already on its way to the baggage carousel. The tale is straight. There is a tourist information office, an official expensive taxi, you can buy a SIM card. The departure is a little more fussy, but again, passport control and inspection are extremely fast. There are shops and cafes inside.
It's a terrible airport. They seem to have made repairs, but you still made it uncomfortable for me.
Why take off your shoes in the 21st century? Is it really necessary to torture people and take off their shoes, put on shoe covers, then throw them away? Why search for everyone? Are there really no normal scanners? There is no such humiliation in any civilized airport in the world.
They seem to have renovated the airport, they did it beautifully, but such things really spoil all the impressions.
Tourists and foreign guests are shocked by these procedures.
It has become a good airport. Heaven and earth are the same as they were a few years ago, when flying from Tashkent and arriving was hell. On departure, each time they were taken separately to the room, where the employees, violating personal boundaries, were "checked". It was disgusting, humiliating, even down to the cosmetic bags, opening lip gloss and mascara, as if there would be diamonds inside the mascara and liquid gloss. Fortunately, this is not the case now.
The airport has always been some kind of space portal connecting different cities and countries, I also remember that old airport with tall columns, it has now remained in old photos, it has not been in the new one yet, in August it really flew away, arrived, but the new terminal was recently opened, I think it will also become a landmark of our city.
Polite staff, waiting time for luggage 10-15 minutes, a green corridor and you're outside, clean, but there is one big one, BUT pay attention to the condition of the toilets in the arrival area, it seems that you got into the 19th century
Convenient airport. In the registration area, you can apply for a tax free, you need to show a receipt, unused goods, passport, bank card and you will need to install the application.
In the departure area at the Duty free store, I bought pilaf in a jar, which is very tasty. There are no price tags in these stores - the consultant will provide them. Upon arrival, I ordered a Yandex taxi - fast and cheap, "bombed" is expensive and may have a very small car.
The employees are not assembled or organized, and incompetent employees work at the ticket office, which is located in the main hall. Due to the fact that they did not consult and did not explain the rules for buying a ticket, and then ignored our presence, saying that they had a shift change and they needed to go home, although they had already started dealing with us, we bought an extra ticket
Every time I arrive in my hometown of Tashkent, I am greeted at the airport with a smile and told - welcome home.
Thank you for your warmth.
I am very proud of our people and service. Well done.
The service is very fast.
The airport is beautiful, cozy, and has everything you need. At the airport, we immediately purchased sim cards – Only Internet and were satisfied.
Beware of the bomb – bombers, they are also bombed in Africa – I'm talking about taxi drivers.
There is a problem with charging the smartphone. To eat - pilaf from $ 6, to drink-0.5 water from $ 1. There are enough places to sit, you need to catch Wi-Fi, for three.
Prices in the Arctic, in comparison with the states, are democratic, Hennessy from 72 dollars, Bourbon from 37 dollars.
It's not the most convenient airport in terms of service. However, it has been constantly being upgraded and expanded lately, becoming more comfortable, vaguely reminiscent of Domodedovo. A big plus is that almost all the booths are open at passport control, there are almost no queues, they let you through quickly, and the border guards are moderately friendly.
The meeting place cannot be changed. The perfect place to change your life. Meet a loved one who will bring joy to your life, or fly to another country and see another world. Excellent staff service.
There is much more comfort. All the border guards are very organized and polite. The staff is polite and punctual. One problem is that it is necessary to permanently remove the disorganized taxi from the airport. Passengers exit through the brazen, intrusive and two to three times overpriced private cabs. It's annoying.
The airport is quite large and convenient, there are dutiful shops, but there are no business lounges available for customers of premium banking packages, Tim's Every lounge, Mile-on-air,...
Conveniently located, quite a good airport. One of the disadvantages is a cramped smoking area without normal ventilation and just a terribly stuffy business room (what are you doing there with an air conditioner?!), you sit like in a Finnish sauna, the temperature in the common room is many times more comfortable, periodically you just went out to breathe.
After the reconstruction (September 2024), the airport has become much better - the facade has been updated, a more convenient passage and an inspection area have been made
Also, before that, a recreation area was opened to meet the adjacent
Of the cons:
1. When they ask to take off their shoes, they do not give out shoe covers during the inspection - this is not ethical
2. Crowds of taxi drivers at the entrance greatly spoil the attitude towards the city as a whole upon arrival
The airport has been improved, it looks serious and pleasant to the eye. For some reason, it reminds me of Dubai. I like the way Tashkent Airport currently looks, but I think it would be great to add more of our Uzbek style to the lobby. Ornaments or something else. So that it doesn't leave our culture.
It is very convenient to take off via automatic registration using a biometric passport.
It is very inconvenient now to cross the corridor from the plane upon arrival through which they go to take off after passport control. And walk very far through the entire airport. I am pleased with the calm attitude of the officers at passport control in the arrival area without unnecessary questions. It is very unpleasant to practically impose taxi services at night, not just at inflated prices, but at prices exceeding 5-7 times the nominal value of a Yandex taxi. Instead of 25 thousand, they ask for 150. At the same time , aggressively insisting on taking this particular taxi .
I don't fly that often. But every time I pay attention to the convenience - convenient thresholds for the import of suitcases, automatic doors, escalators at every step, and personally I have never found myself in a queue of more than 3-5 people. During a personal inspection, the culture and mentality of the country are taken into account. Women are examined by a female customs officer, this is also done culturally and carefully
A mess at the entrance
Everything is dug up
Inspection on the street to get to the entrance where there will be another inspection. The airport is closed when they want to, because important presidents come here, because there is nowhere else
The waiting area is small. There is only one elevator. Employees consider themselves very important and can study your passport for 15 minutes and ask strange things in the spirit of "where's the mole"
All ak offices are hidden so that you won't find it
The airport is good, repairs are being done for the summer of 2024, everything is clean outside and inside. I will add a review for you on the YESS buffet! COFFEE. I bought coffee and a sausage in a dough in the meeting area. The drink did not taste too milky (4/10). And the sausage in the dough is dry (3/10). The price of bakery products is overestimated by 2 times (I think because of the location near the airport)
There are a lot of queues, the staff is very slow and they don't care what condition you are in and when your flight is. We had a flight at 07:40, we were at the airport at 05:15, and the checks were only at 07:10 (there were a lot of empty cabins and only 2 controllers for all flights of all countries), then the plane flew at 08:30 although the flight was at 07:40. I didn't have such problems before, I think
An interesting, rather compact building with an original layout. As I understand it, it was reconstructed not so long ago. Therefore, the boarding pass system has not yet been debugged, as in other airports.
There are not enough exotic places for photo shoots with the backdrop of Tashkent Airport, ... where guests and compatriots could take pictures and be proud of their homeland and the airport before departure and after arrival...
I absolutely do not share the rave reviews about this airport, because I have never met such wild rudeness and terrible communication with people in any country.Your employees are the face of the country, because it is their level of professionalism that creates the first impression. But all I saw was rudeness, rudeness and sheer show-off.The employees of the check-in desk 31 and the immigration control desk are celestial women who shout at passengers. This is such a bottom and a disgrace, and why are you interested in so many scanners if the inspection employee almost puts her hand in intimate places?Full of horror and I hope that I will never have to visit this place again
One of the best international airports, we arrived for the first time in 13 years ago, we spent more than 2 hours in stuffiness at the exit, we arrived three times in the last 3 years, we cleared the control in 15-20 minutes. Very calm and comfortable.
It's a great airport, everything is clear and convenient, the luggage was received quickly. There are exchangers, they change SIM cards, convenient exits for suitcases so as not to carry them on your hands.
This is my first time here, and I'm happy.
Tashkent airport, although small, is very convenient. There have never been long queues, you pass everything quickly. Good shops in front of the departure area.
This is my favorite place. Every time I come to fly away or pass by, my heart starts beating with excitement. Tashkent International Airport is one of the best in the world, and Uzbekistan Airways is the best airline in the world. The staff is polite, everything is clean, while waiting for your flight it's not boring, you won't even notice how time flew by while walking on Duty free
A convenient airport is almost in the center of the city. Friendly staff. There is a lot of free space in the waiting room. Beautiful view of the runway and planes.
✈️ Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov-the main air gate of Uzbekistan! 🌍🇺🇿
If you are visiting Uzbekistan or flying international routes, the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov (TAS) will be your first destination! 🏙️🚀 This airport is one of the largest air ports in Central Asia, serving millions of passengers per year.
🏢 Modern infrastructure – 8.5 / 10!
In recent years, the airport has undergone modernization, and an expanded passenger terminal, comfortable waiting halls, and new services have been established. 🏗️✈️ Inside there are large LED displays, modern directional indicators and comfortable waiting areas. 🪑🔵
🛃 Registration and security-8/10!
The registration process passes quickly and orderly, but queues before international flights can be long. 🛂 ✅ Security control is equipped with modern scanners, while customs officers work accurately and professionally. 👮♂️📋
🍽️ Services and shops – 7.5/10!
Inside the airport there are cafes, restaurants and Duty free shops. ☕ 🛍 ️ National dishes and fast food can be found in local and international cuisines. 🍛 🍕 But in some places the prices are a little expensive. 💰📈
🚕 Transportation and location – 9/10!
The airport is located about 10 km from the center of the city of Tashkent. 🚗 📍 Arrival is very convenient by taxi, bus or private car. 🚖 🚍 There is also parking around the airport. 🅿️✅
📍 Overall grade: 8.5 / 10! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov is one of the largest and most convenient airports in Uzbekistan. 🌍 ✈ ️ New terminal and services provide passenger comfort, but in some places the queues can be long. ✅
P.S. Do not forget to exchange currency or buy a local SIM card before leaving the airport! 📱💵
The aerator is getting better and better every year. One big disadvantage is annoying taxi drivers when they are removed from there already. It is not possible to drive up to the parking lot in the arrival area because taxi drivers leave their cars anywhere but in the parking lot
It is a very beautiful Airport! It is located within walking distance from the center! Yes, it happens, you can fly in at three in the morning and walk to the hotel.
Of the airport staff, I would like to mention the women responsible for the cleanliness of the hall and restrooms, they were very responsive, they helped me figure out what was going on.
A quiet and cozy airport, everyone is polite and friendly.there is everything you need for a pleasant flight waiting. There is free Wi-Fi, but for local numbers it is free, if there must be roaming with Russian to get an access code. The rate at the airport is too low, it is much better to change in the city at any bank
A modern small airport. You can get there by taxi or by bus. We checked the pockets at the entrance, we didn't look into the bags.
Our flights were not delayed. There were enough places to wait. There were no large queues at the inspection, there were 15-20 minutes in front of the check-in desks.
The luggage room was used at the railway station (about 40 rubles per piece of luggage per day).
There are more people in the toilets at the entrance, in front of the reception desks, of course, it is dirtier (not critical) and simpler there. There are practically no people in the toilets of the waiting room before boarding and it is very clean and the plumbing is modern.
The prices in duty free are high, but there are products for the promotion.
There are exchangers on the territory with a normal dollar exchange rate and an unfavorable ruble exchange rate. If you plan to change rubles, it is better to do it in the city at the money changers. It's safe and much more profitable. In May 2024, 1:135 was changed.
Also, upon arrival at the airport, you can issue a local SIM card. There are several racks of different companies.
Taxi services are offered at the exit from the airport. I recommend you to get a local SIM card and order it via Yandex GO. The app works great, the prices are pleasing.
All travelers have a great mood and a lot of positive emotions. People in Uzbekistan are not evil, positive, sociable, and always try to help if they can.
It became an excellent airport after the reconstruction. Thanks to the airport staff for their comfort and convenience, especially to the border guard service, the passage is fast and convenient.
I arrived from Russia. What pleased me was the work of the border guards. We missed it very quickly, despite the large number of visitors, there were a lot of checkpoints. I didn't even stand for 10 minutes. The luggage was returned later. But I think there was a hitch with the border check. The hall is large and clean.
It's too small for such a big city, especially now, when so many flights pass through these "air gates". It's not very convenient to move from one building to another when changing carriers, especially in winter, there was a lot of snow this December, and I had to carry my suitcases through the snow at 3 a.m.
