In general, the Maldives is a good place. The airport is old, small, but in principle everything is tolerable. It's a little stuffy when waiting for the border zone to pass on arrival. In the area in the departure lounge on the top floor, there is a big disadvantage of finding a smoking room, there is not enough ventilation, so the smell of tobacco smoke spreads to the locations of passengers.

A small airport, in shops with local goods prices are higher than in the hotel. There are a couple of coffee shops with snacks and pastries, quite modest. I recommend going to the business lounge. The cost in August 2023 was $35 per person. Comfortable, with TVs, armchairs, computers, a delicious snack and hot dishes, drinks, fruits, sweets (there are few dishes, but everything is delicious). A small children's corner.

We arrived from St. Petersburg on a business trip to Kaliningrad. We went to have a snack at this restaurant. Rarely, when I liked everything. This is just such a case! Spacious establishment, atmospheric atmosphere, amazing friendly and constructive staff! The food is very tasty. Salad with chicken liver is a tender liver with a light crispy crust and a pleasant dressing. The continental breakfast is very nutritious and varied. Cappuccino is the perfect temperature, it rarely happens (yes, perhaps only when I make my own coffee in a coffee maker). The takeaway was also done very quickly. I hope we will have time to come here for dinner, I want to try something else.

One small terminal, where several Boeings from different countries are accepted at the same time, in one queue! You will be standing in ten queues for the entire 2.5 hours! It's amazing that such a rich resort with such a terrible airport is the worst we've ever seen. Another note about the declaration: not all tour operators fully bring tourists up to date. Everyone knows that you need to fill out an electronic declaration at the entrance, but not everyone knows that you also need to fill it out at the exit. Let's say we were not warned, and when we left we were turned around at passport control and had to fill it out again at the airport, which increased queuing). And as we observed, many were also deployed, which means that not all tourists were on course. Be careful and clarify when buying a tour.

It's a great airport when it comes to seaplanes. The usual one - there are the necessary number of boutiques. I would especially like to mention the Rituals store - chic cosmetics and aroma.
I will say separately about the hydroport. Parking for 50+ seaplanes. We were from the San Siam network - there is a hall on the 4th floor, you can eat, drink coffee. The views on the balcony are amazing, everything is clear and prompt.
