It's a terrible airport, you have to look for a worse one. I haven't been to many airports, but even in Mineralnye Vody the airport looks more solid. Everywhere is dirty, the toilets are terrible, all the time people are like in any minibus during rush hour, the customs officers have "excellent" English, etc. Plus, for speaking at least broken English like that, and for the fact that this is the Maldives after all.

But the departure from this airport will be remembered for a long time. I flew to Bangkok and they refused to check in for the flight without a return ticket from Thailand. No explanations helped, when asked to show a similar requirement from Thailand, it was said that either show a return ticket from Thailand (anywhere), or goodbye. I quickly bought a ticket, after which I was checked in for the flight and received a boarding pass. Well, then Passport control with such a queue that, in my opinion, everyone who passed the control that day ran to the pre-flight inspection in order to catch the flight. Be careful to fill out the form of the outgoing from the Maldives. They don't let you out without it. They send it to the counter to be processed and then to the end of the queue.

You can't think of a worse airport. No signs, a million incomprehensible racks. They took a bus from the pier to the airport, for some reason the suitcases were taken separately. As a result, we arrived, but there were no suitcases. We tried to find them with the whole bus for about an hour! No one said anything, everyone just threw up their hands. There was just over an hour left before departure before we could even begin to go through all these circles of hell with registration, customs and inspections. The airport is terrible. Small, stuffy, huge queues everywhere. There is no online registration. If you are flying with a transfer to the next flight, they do not register and you have to do this on arrival, which is extremely inconvenient, especially if the connection is short. The staff is rude. Before departure, fill out the "departure" form (qr cod), you cannot pass the control without it, they will send you to do it.And then stand in that crazy queue again. There is no Internet there. They helped us at the Aeroflot counter. We were there six months apart and no one had required this form before. In general, no one is engaged in the "development" of the airport, everything is VERY outdated and this is in a country that lives on tourism.
