It's a very small airport (although a new terminal is already being built nearby), but all controls and inspections are quick.
Upon arrival, all baggage must be scanned for alcohol and other prohibited substances. There are several cafes and burgers at the airport where you can have a snack, the prices are normal.
Check-in desks for boats for travelers to local islands are located almost immediately after leaving the arrival area - it is difficult to miss. And the boats themselves are across the street from the airport.
There is a Duty free on departure with a standard set of products. However, Maldivian souvenirs here are 5 times more expensive than on the islands and in Male.

Экзотичный аэропорт, за это оценка чуть выше, чем заслуживает. Терминал не самый пр осторный, жарко, мест чтобы подождать свой рейс не очень много, поэтому не стоит приезжать заранее, лучше побродить по Мале. А так - все быстро, стоек регистрации достаточно, даже большие рейсы регистрируют оперативно. Выдача багажа неторопливая, выборочно проверяют на провоз алкоголя. Фудкортов мало и очень дорого.

In Russia, it is often possible to find buildings "a la 70s". And not every airport can accommodate 340s or 777s. A new terminal with sufficient capacity is expected (under construction). We flew on 09.12.24 in the evening - everything is fine, there are not so many people in the check-in area, in the security area and in the smoking area) . I hope to be serviced in the new terminal in the near future.

A small, congested airport. It cannot cope with the flow of tourists. Everything is very modest, a small Duty-Free zone, uncomfortable waiting areas. That's why a new terminal is being built next door.

There is no way at all to understand where the landing is going at the food court. The ads are not clear, there is no scoreboard!
