Therefore, be sure to call in advance and find out if you can get there on this day! If you are a citizen with limited mobility, plan a trip by public transport or taxi - it is difficult for an aged person to get there from the colonnade. If you are young and light on your feet - go from the colonnade on foot. In general, the task is very textured, we were happy to take pictures there!
Beautiful, majestic, yes. But lifeless. We wanted to come in, drink coffee, maybe have a snack with something delicious. At the entrance, we were notified of a deposit of 1,500 rubles per person. We looked at the menu - well, it doesn't matter, we could have stayed. But all the tables more or less close to the windows are reserved. They offered to sit in the center of the hall, right on the passage through the hall. They turned around and left.
A wonderful place! We were in August last year, we liked historical dishes - Prince of Oldenburg salad, Olivier salad according to the recipe of 1895, Meat trio... The service also did not cause any complaints. Architecture, interiors - very impressed!
Arriving in Gagra in the fall of 2023 and having dined at the boarding house, we went for a walk in the Seaside Park. For old times' sake, we decided to go to a restaurant and the first thing we heard was that a deposit system had been introduced in the restaurant. But this time we were not hungry, we just wanted to take a salad and a cocktail and enjoy the interiors. The hall was empty, only 2 tables were occupied, but the waitress remained adamant to all our requests to serve us without any deposits.
Appeal to the restaurant management: if you decide to introduce a deposit system, create a website and notify potential customers about it so as not to spoil the reputation of the restaurant.
In our eyes, it is completely spoiled, because it is not in Caucasian customs to measure hospitality with the thickness of a guest's wallet.

A historical place of incredible beauty, the advantages end there. Overprice for dishes (Moscow prices), and the cuisine itself leaves much to be desired. Dried chicken, bitter lettuce leaves in caesar, suluguni in oil. They left about 10 thousand with the company, they didn't eat half of it. And the langoustines smelled sad)

A very unpleasant mannered man at the entrance. Arrogance is evident in a simple way. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we were put in the most unsightly corner. There were comments about the deposit with such dislike. There was an empty table by the window with roses, this waiter/hostess said it was busy, although at that moment they took our jacket there and left. We decided to leave, because that's not how we imagined our evening, and after that, again, an arrogant "quickly" with dislike. Pick a nicer staff so that they don't put themselves above the guests.
We went to a nearby restaurant and left 9 thousand there. A pleasant place with live music.
Ресторан произвел довольно хоро шее впечатление. Из-за отзывов переживали как пройдет наш вечер. Но нам повезло с обслуживанием, был приятный официант, попросил для нас кухню приготовить пасту, она в это время уже не подается. Паста и супы подаются до 16:00) вино взяли самое дорогое по совету официанта, но не зашло. А дешевое якобы не было, ну может и правда не было)) живая музыка была приятная. Атмосферное заведение. Но эту атмосферу портят туристы в Сланцах , шортах и мокрых майках , которые идут напрямую с пляжа. Но нас это особо не трогает.
Очень редко пишу отзывы, но блюда ресторана такого уровня поразили своей невкусностью.
Из плюсов конечно историческое здание, красивое и с наружи и внутри и соответствующая атмосфера, связанная с его историей. Красивый вид с балкона на парк и море.
НО! все омрачила кухня ресторана.
Были 3 апреля, решили пообедать. Конечно же что-то из блюд абхазкой кухни. Заказали Акуджал (официант предупредила, что блюдо острое остро). Не очень люблю острое, но решил попробовать (блюдо по сравнению с другими самое дорогое 650р). Так-же заказали картофель айдахо и хачапури.
Принесли Акуджал - постный бульон, не соленый и не острый, 3 маленьких, жилистых кусочка баранины и на дне немного овощей. На вопрос официанту - что это такое?, сказала передаст информацию повору, но дальше никаких действий.
Далее принесли картофель - пересушеный и с горевший, с хачапури, то-же самое - сыра практически нет, одно тесто (обычно когда режешь с нее течет сыр. Итог - испорченное настроение, всегда нравилась абхазкая кухня, но здесь, для ресторана такого уровня, остался только осадок. За неделю проведенную в Сочи и Абхазии по чеку оказался самый дорогой обед на 2 взрослых+ребенок (без напитков) 3300+330чаевые(причем по умолчанию сразу включают в чек, так зачем трудиться официанту если все равно заплатят).

Красивое место! Для компании хорошо заказать фирменное блюдо, (мног о разного мяса + овощи на гриле), персонал приветлив, вечером живая музыка. Однозначно рекомендую для посещения. Перед посещением рекомендую почитать историческую справку о заведении.

In July 2024 , we visited this famous restaurant, the impression is ambiguous .Firstly , at the entrance , a not very friendly girl , apparently the administrator , immediately agreed on the amount of 1,500 rubles per person for a mandatory order , and when we gladly agreed , she led us to one table , not at all the one we liked , referring to the reservation , although almost all the tables were free .The menu was not replete with dishes of national cuisine (even Tom yam soup was present), rather meager and at the same time not all dishes are available, we had to change our order twice for this reason.In the chicken soup that was brought, it was not possible to eat chicken from the word at all, beef turned out to be the same , we could only eat unleavened khachapuri with pleasure, and even then because it was hot.In general , we took a picture , paid the bill for 4,400 rubles without alcohol and left with a firm misunderstanding of what is so special here that this restaurant is famous for its exclusivity .Of course we will never go there again

Ресторан - просто восторг! Интерьер, персонал, еда - все на 5+. Очень красивый вид из ресторана на набережную. Волшебные мясные блюда, салаты и просто восхитительный хачапур по -царски.
Красиво, чисто, вкусно. Официанты знают свою работу, всё расскажут по мен ю, правильно принесут и унесут. Очень приятное и атмосферное место.
Кухня выше всяких похвал.
Очень рекомендую посетить.

Красиво оформленное меню, как и само здание - это те немногие плюсы ресторана, которые можно выделить.
Хабальные, ленивые официанты, интернет работающий через раз, половина позиций отсутствует, невыносимо долгая подача при минимальной посадке гостей, совершенно устаревшие и неинтересные позиции в меню.
Из еды советую оливье.
Рыба сухая, вчерашняя (за 2к то). Уха "царская" с креветками - цирк какой то, а водка к ней больше похожа на 60обр. самогон. Ростбиф, как буженина - нет розовизны и нарезан как в рекламе колбасы "папа может".
Потраченных денег жаль. Просто невкусно.
А в целом красивое и атмосферное место. Надеюсь управляющий и шеф примут меры.

Единственное, что подпортило впечатление - настроение официантки. Имя не запомнил, брюнетка с короткой стрижкой, типа каре. Недовольная чем-то, надменная, неразговорчивая.

Однозначно одно из самых раскрученных заведений города - оно и понятно. Здание с огромной историей.
Пришли большой компанией 9 взрослых + дети. Сначала сказали, что все забронировано. После фразы: "..специально ехали к Вам" появилась возможность разместиться на 2 этаже. Через 10 минут исходя от невыносимой жары, т.к. кондиционеры работают только на 1 уровне, решили уйти. Тут же появились столы на 1 этаже. Ради нас даже сдвинули несколько (это к слову о накрученной значимости, да туда толпами привозят экскурсионников, но для чего было сначала на входе говорить, что вообще то у нас только через бронь..). В общем мы оттуда просто ушли, т.к даже на улице было прохладнее чем в здании.

Знаковое место, хорошая кухня, интересное меню, наряду с предложением современной кухни, есть блюда из меню на момент открытия ресторана, жаль, что нет сетов, хотелось попробовать больше блюд)) Обслуживание отличное, подают все вовремя и быстро. Оставил позитивное впечатление.
Ценник соответствует месту, по Абхазии цены выше не встречались.

4 ставлю за уникальность здания и за идеал ьное состояние культурного наследия.
120 лет назад принц Александр Ольденбургский на Парижской торговой выставке купил необычное здание - деревянное строение в стиле фахверк с часами на фасаде, было изготовлено в Норвегии без единого гвоздя. Очень красиво!!!

Когда мы были в ресторане, это был вечер, была развлекательная программа, танцевали ребята абхазские танцы, очень красиво, что мурашки по телу, потом выступали девушки с танцами живота. В общем остались очень хорошие впечатления! В конце нашего отпуска посетили его еще раз с местными друзьями, посидели так, что запомнилось на всю жизнь!
Ресторан с интересной историей, находится в колоритном месте, виды с второго этажа ресторана на парк и море замечательные. Но скатерти в пятнах, туалет оставляет желать лучшего, официанты с ходу в ресторан сразу озвучивают про депозит (с человека 1500₽). Заказав шашлык из курицы, жевали очень долго. Овощная тарелка из безвкусных помидоров и таких же огурцов. Из минусов ещё то, что из абхазских блюд ничего не было в наличии. Это не уровень ресторана. Мы остались не особо довольны.

Очень красивый и старинный ресторан с историей. Достаточно богатый интерьер. Не плохое обслуживание. Шашлык из шеи очень посредственный, обыкновенная овощная тарелка. Больше всего понравилось пюре. Нигде в заведениях больше не готовят такое вкусное пюре, за него можно поставить твердую пятерку, как и за внешний вид ресторана, а так же внутреннее убранство. Все остальное слишком обычно.

Абхазия это потрясающая страна! А этот ресторан как раз отображает все ее преимущества, живая музыка с потрясающим вокалом, подборка композиций необыкновенная, душа поет просто, хочется подпевать каждую песню)) официанты опытные, внимательные, приветливые)) про стол отдельная благодарность повару) форель была волшебная картофель на мангале -пальчики оближешь, лимонад потрясный) в общем все не перечислить, при этом ценник более чем адекватный, по крайней мере по ростовским меркам, при этом такой интерьер исторический! Всем советую, кто едет в Гагру, этот ремтрран строго обязателен к посещению!
