Атмосферный ресторан с очень интересными интерьерами. Заказывали блюда на мангале, салаты и вино. Все очень достойно!!
Обслуживание на хорошем уровне, что приятно выделяет ресторан среди остальных. Отдель ное спасибо нашему официанту Кате)) она сделала наш вечер)) ушли с хорошим настроением, сытые и довольные.
А шикарный вид из ресторана на море делает вечер полностью незабываемым!!

Terrible service. The waiters don't even smile, they are rude from the doorway. We came in, we wanted to eat. But the waiter guy and the girl with their attitude discouraged all desire to eat there.
They didn't even try the food, the mood was spoiled. I am very disappointed.
And the building is beautiful, of course, but I recommend changing the staff to smiling and polite guys.

Gagripsh is the oldest restaurant in the city, brought here by the Prince of Oldenburg, who created a resort in Gagra, and the opening of the resort was celebrated in the restaurant building. The place is interesting, the kitchen is good, but here you will be warned at the entrance that a deposit of 1,500 rubles per person is valid, you cannot place an order for a smaller amount. We have long wanted to visit this restaurant - the building is incredibly beautiful and luxurious, the interiors inside are in the Art Nouveau style.
We ordered mussels and Prince salad with seafood, fricassee also, it seemed delicious, but nothing supernatural.
In the evening, it became so bad that for a day hugging the toilet, never set foot in this restaurant again!
It is a pity that new owners who do not monitor the kitchen and employees leave on a hundred-year-old reputation

The music was playing so loudly that it was difficult for the waiters to take an order, and it was difficult to hear each other at the same table.)) In principle, they were in no hurry to take an order, even when we personally approached the administrator so that our table would already be noticed!
But despite this, the atmosphere in the restaurant was quite pleasant. Beautiful interior, with crystal chandeliers, delicious menu. The dishes were cooked quickly enough, everything that was ordered was delicious, which greatly pleased and did not allow you to be disappointed due to the deafening decibels and unhurried order acceptance).
In the evenings, live music plays, beautiful voices, good performance, but it sounds excessively loud through amplifiers, despite the fact that the acoustics in the hall are already excellent)))

I really wanted to get to Gagripsh, but we rest in the fall, and it is already closed. This year I was lucky enough to visit this historical place. The beauty is of course incredible, carved wood , gorgeous chandeliers , in general, the decor, as they say, is expensive and rich. The staff is polite, friendly, although at the entrance with a smile on his face announces that the order must be at least 2 thousand per person (cheaper in the morning). We waited for half an hour, but it was not a burden, a pleasant atmosphere, live music. The food is served beautifully , but absolutely not tasty. and the ear is royally not edible at all. Our order : ear in royal style, meat in Abkhazian , shish kebab, and a decanter of lemonade - 6000. Of course, it was worth visiting this place, but I don't want to visit it anymore.

The check per person is 1500 rubles, 50% for children under 7 years old. We had a vacation with our spouse in Abkhazia....We are hoteliers from the Kola Peninsula. She has worked in the catering industry for 25 years. Completely in shock.....Service 1, dishes 1, . Abkhazians, brothers, why are you so godless????? Why should you needle the guests who bring you money in such a vile way???? From now on, I will not recommend a vacation in Abkhazia to any of the northerners, and I will also do my best so that all our guests from Moscow and St. Petersburg know the true attitude of you to your guests.

I think the bad reviews are no longer about food, but about the financial part.
Yes, there is a deposit of 1,500 per person, but this is a local landmark, what kind of food will people eat when everyone goes around just to see. I don't think so.
The prices are not cheap, it's true, but we knew where we were going. The food and drinks are very tasty.
I read reviews about the arrogant stares of the staff, I don't know, I didn't notice. We were in the afternoon and I was in shorts and a top, there were no arrogant looks, in general, everyone sees what they want to see.
Tips are included in the bill as everywhere else and amount to 10%, but we have been resting for several days and are used to it.
The place itself is not bad. In general, if finances allow, eat, the food is good.

To which I said that we would not eat for such an amount, but the waitress reassured us: "With our prices, you will definitely eat"! )))) The menu is mediocre, the prices are very high, considering that they definitely do not know how to cook a barbecue. When you go to such a restaurant, you leave so much money, I would like such a restaurant not to dictate and not leave guests without a choice. Обожаю этот ресторан! Когда приезжаем в Абхазию, обязательно приходим сюда. Очень вкусная кухня, обходительные официанты, само здание, атмосфера, живая музыка! Бесконечно можно перечислять плюсы! Но, есть и минусы. Дорого! Готовьтесь оставить приличную сумму в Гагрипше. Депозит при заказе стола 1500 р на взрослого, 50% на ребёнка. С учётом цен на блюда вы закажете на гораздо бОльшую сумму нежели депозит)) И да, там всегда аншлаг, поэтому в сезон столики нужно бронировать заранее. Сайта у ресторана нет, надо прийти и забронировать. Хотя бы один раз, но побывать там однозначно стОит!

Очень вкусные блюда! Интересное место. Кто остановится в старой Гагре, обязательн о советую побывать. Романтическая обстановка, игра на саксофоне, живой звук, - все это вдохновляет и подчеркивает твой отдых; переносишься как буд то в начало хх века, еще в царские времена с принцами и принцессами. Интересно рассматривать интерьер того времени, механизмы подьема люстр и вообще все!!!

Атмосфера ресторана располагает к погружению в исторические периоды его основания (1903 год) и последующих эпох (революции, советского времени). Очень вкусно, по российским меркам недорого (на 1500 р депозита можно хорошо поесть). Обслуживание на высшем уровне, живая музыка местных исполнителей меня до слез растрогала. Фото внутри и снаружи очень красивые получаются.

The service is excellent, but we were served by a waiter from Russia, only at the entrance they meet us strangely, immediately with a condition, about a deposit of 1500 per person, some are scared and they leave. Visited on April 23, 2024. There are few people at 17-00. We took royal khachapuri, hominy, cheese rolls and nut-eggplant rolls. Oriental coffee and strudel. I liked everything, above expectations. The strudel surprised me very pleasantly. The service is quite normal, without fuss (and there are few people). We did not take a deposit (we did not book in advance) but I said from the doorway that we wanted to eat normally. The music is unobtrusive, calmly neutral. In such a place, I would include classics in modern processing))
By the way, hominy in Abkhazia differs from Moldovan - white and finely ground.

Пошли туда, поскольку была там в детстве до войны и очень хотел а вернуться. Ну в целом интерьер конечно хорош, обслуживание тоже неплохое, шикарная идея с оформлением меню. А вот соответсвие цены и качества кухни не в пользу поваров. Брали разные салаты и большое блюдо мяса. Салаты нормальные, но не вау, а шашлык это вообще грусть-печаль по вкусу, но подача конечно шикарная...с открытым огнём. А так...через дорогу делают в сто раз лучше и в три раза дешевле, хоть и без понтов. Но, гештальт закрыт))) больше туда не пойдём. Ужин на семью в 5 человек обошёлся нам в 13 тыс и мы не ликовали в заказе...

They don't look like schoolgirls with a friend for a long time. There was no ordinary Abkhazian wine, apparently only this restaurant was not delivered, only their branded wine was available for 3000.We ordered mussels in sauce, khachapuri boat, salad with roast beef and fried suluguni. We didn't finish any of the dishes! Mussels are small and dry, instead of roast beef in the salad there was just boiled meat, a boat - it feels like a raw egg was poured on a friendship cheese, the cheese did not stretch as it should do in a boat! Fried suluguni.. There are no words.. It was just something in the shape of Julia Vysotskaya's cheesecakes floating in a pile of butter , and even fried with pesto !! After a piece of this cheese, nausea tormented me all night. I do not know if other dishes had to be ordered to be edible, but in a good restaurant all dishes should be able to cook well! One of the three cubicles is working in the toilet! I definitely do not recommend it!

I read a lot of reviews before visiting!- I postponed the idea of visiting a couple of times ! But on the way back home, my wife and I decided to stop by! The first thing that caught my eye was that the clock does not work on the main wall (although it is mechanical, it must be wound up every day ), even the clock in the hall hanging at the waiters' table does not work)- Paradoxically , time is really frozen there !
At the entrance, a girl met with a smile, placed it, the waiter was also smiling and was ready to take the order in 3 minutes after we studied the menu ... but we no longer studied the menu , but the stories around the edges of the menu …
By the way, the deposit is 1500rubles per person (this is not a problem, since you will leave much more there!) The service is included in the 10% receipt. Payment is only in cash or by transfer. The ATM is on the ground floor at the entrance! The hall was half full when we arrived, but it quickly filled up within a couple of hours! I advise non-smokers not to sit at tables on the balcony, as there is a smoking area there.
They took our order , we went to the gazebo , took pictures , had a smoke , were away for no more than 10 minutes. Back at the table, our fragrant and pleasantly decorated food was already there)
Cheese soup was for 5 , royal ear with a glass of vodka and a sandwich of red caviar ( caviar would be twice as much), Greek salad-there is nothing to complain about , whole olives , lemon is not squeezed , fresh fetax cheese! The cappuccino is great! Tuna steak is also ready to praise, although I asked that it be fried to Medium well.
The interior is certainly impressive, especially when you are familiar with the history. We left at 18:00 at 20:30. There was no live music until 19:30, then a trumpeter or saxophonist started playing (I don't really understand this). The toilet commands respect! It is rare to find such a thing on the territory of Abkhazia , though on the ground floor .
In general, a great place for Abkhazia! Of course, I don't compare it with Moscow , St. Petersburg , etc .

But, in the end, a small banquet-my wife's anniversary was just wonderful! Thanks in large part to the waitress Regina! Special thanks to her!
She sent us for a walk to take pictures for 10 minutes, upon arrival all the snacks and salads were on the table, a little later they served hot, almost simultaneously for all the guests, 7 people.. It doesn't work out in every restaurant. All the dishes are beautifully decorated and very tasty. In addition to everything, the pleasant jazz-blues music created an atmosphere.. The female vocalist was also pleased with her professionalism.
As a result, the evening was a great success. We recommend it to ourselves..
