I do not recommend it! The restaurant itself has a history, disassembled in Finland, brought in parts and assembled on site. That's where the advantages end. We came together at 17.00, the load was no more than 10%, the waiter was waited for about 15-20 minutes. There are some basic Abkhazian dishes on the menu, but there are no basic Abkhazian dishes (very strange, because we arrived in Abkhazia). They said that they did not serve wine by the glass, okay, OK, they asked for a bottle of the most common wine there - Psou, there is also on the menu, but in fact it is not there either, but there is homemade 3000 rubles per bottle! There is no grape Abkhazian vodka either, only rye... As a result, I had to order a cheese plate, a barbecue and veal medallions. There were 4 types of cheese on the cheese plate, 4 slices each and a bowl of honey, nothing was decorated. The medallions are bland. The kebab is sour, it feels like it was soaked in vinegar... The bill was waited for about 20 minutes. Except to see the restaurant itself, there is nothing to do there at all. Everything is put on stream, the quality is zero.

Very nice restaurant both inside and out, beautiful sea view, good service. But! The food was disappointing... They ordered black tea - they brought a teapot in which there was so much tea that half a liter was barely colored, like green tea. They ordered a pork neck, brought meat on the bones, allegedly mixed it up, as the waitress said. We ordered Chateaubriand steaks - rubber meat and over-dried grilled vegetables. Either the meat was old, or they don't know how to cook. In general, they ask for a 2000 deposit per person, but they cannot feed adequately. The situation was saved only by khachapuri - delicious, with lots of cheese. I really wanted to get into this restaurant for a long time, I ticked it. But I'm definitely not going to eat there anymore. The food in such a famous restaurant is at the level of simple cafes on the coast, and this is no exaggeration.

Если ты побывал в Абхазии, наверно, хочется, сходить в Гагрипш 😁 Внутри красиво, вид на море из ресторана для фото тоже достойный, есть развлекательная программа, очень много посадочных мест, наверно, поэтому за всеми официанты не всегда успевают. Кухне пятерочку не поставил бы 😁 Место однозначно очень знаковое, но без денег сюда лучше не заходить 👍😁 Оно красиво смотрится и снаружи 😁

I have never heard a cheaper excuse not to let in in my life: "We only plant from 3 people, with a deposit of 2000 rubles per person." And if I can still put up with a deposit, then boarding from 3 people is nonsense that is difficult to digest.
The hostess also added at the end, "come back in an hour." What should change in an hour? Are we supposed to have a baby and then they'll let us in? Or how does the system work?
They refused to plant it even on the condition that we pay the deposit here and now. So much for a historical landmark.
At the same time, the restaurant itself had tables for two, three, and as many as you want. Couples were sitting. There is no appointment, everything is on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you want a boorish attitude, vague excuses why you can't be put down to dinner (despite the fact that if there are empty seats, they have no right to refuse by law), even considering that you are ready to pay the deposit, then you are here.
Considering the fact. that there is no armor there, we observed a lot of empty seats, which means they could have physically planted us. But for some reason they didn't want to...
The situation will be corrected if the restaurant administration gives us a 50% discount on the entire menu for the next visit, and also sincerely apologizes for the boorish attitude on the part of its employees who suffer from "watchman syndrome".

A legendary place in Abkhazia, it was for this that I added another star to the beautiful presentation of almost all the dishes that were brought to our company for this one more star. That's where the advantages ended.
From what I ordered (gagripsh salad and meat in Abkhazian), nothing corresponded to the price that was indicated for the dish - this is the main disadvantage.
For a minimum deposit of 1,500 per adult, you should not worry, the prices of dishes will easily help you overcome it, but if suddenly for some reason you do not make it, you should not worry too much, you will be added a 10% bill for service for your convenience right in the receipt. Thus, given that the cost of the dishes is overestimated relative to the quality, you leave quite generous tips.

We stopped by at the beginning of November . We saw there was a banquet the day before (we were passing by). When we got to the entrance, it was closed and there was a sign saying "closed for special maintenance until 01.01.2025". The three of us came as a family. In an almost empty restaurant, we were refused to sit at a table we liked on the grounds that it was designed for a larger number of people. No matter how long we were going to stay there, eat and continue, however, the waitress with poorly concealed irritation, arrogance and contempt, reveling in her tiny power, did not let us take a table designed for a couple of people more. When choosing dishes, you need to keep in mind that you are obliged to spend at least 1,500 rubles in this institution, and even choke, but order. And it's also good to count in your mind. I met this in the nightmarish cafes of the mid-90s, and walked away from such absurd obligations. But then, for some reason, she agreed. The food was not impressive, it was not tasty, the amount of the check was about 7 thousand, of course there was a lot left, keep in mind that 10 percent of the service is already included in the bill. Fruit drinks and wines only in liters and bottles. You can't take what the waiters recommend, it's expensive and obviously tasteless! And if you want to take with you what you couldn't handle in connection with this disgusting requirement, keep in mind that they will put containers with a package right on the table, they say you will pack it yourself, and the appliances will be taken away to humiliate you. I personally saw how people refuse to come in from the doorstep, seeing the faces of the waiters and the requirement to pay the duty and not walk around the restaurant! It's absurd. I think all the guides are paid to advertise this place. You can only go to the toilet through the restaurant maze, you can't think of anything funnier. In general, the horror (The service did not like it, when we moved to another table away from the air conditioner, we were not served a menu. Okay, we went by ourselves. They position themselves as a restaurant, but they didn't give any napkins. Dirty dishes were not taken away immediately, drinks were not poured, little attention was paid, they scurried behind my back, the floor was wooden, it swayed, my chair also swayed, somehow not very pleasant. The calculation was waited for a very long time. In short, I do not recommend it to those who are familiar with good service and really delicious restaurant food.
If you remove the obligation of guests to spend a certain amount, replace the staff (including the kitchen), remove the maze and the stupid requirement not to walk around the restaurant, there is a chance to become a good place.

Много раз были в Абхазии и очень давно хотели попасть в ресторан Гагрипш.
В этом году мы смогли осуществить задуманное. Сам ресторан очень атмосферный, красивый и внутри и снаружи. С балкона открывается прекрасный вид. Для фотографий красивый очень Крутая локация.
При входе вам скажут что с человека депозит 1500, для детей до 10 лет 700 рублей.
Еда была неплохая, но по меню были не все позиции, что очень удивительно в начале сезона и в таком популярном туристическом месте.
В чеке вы найдете строку 10% за обслуживание, только вот самого обслуживания вы не увидите. Стол без салфеток, тарелки не уносят, сидели в куче грязной посуды, пока не выловили официанта, чтоб он наконец-то все убрал!
Музыка живая, но очень громкая, если планируете сидеть и общаться, садитесь подальше от сцены!
Как итог скажу, что больше желания приходить в Гагрипш нет! Очень нужно работать над сервисом!

As a result, they brought a dish containing tomatoes (I am allergic to this product), and finely chopped.
They offered to replace it with another one, without apologizing. It didn't end there, the waitress serving the next table just pushed me, while looking haughtily, of course not apologizing.
The only person who tried to fix the situation is the administrator.
Already leaving the restaurant, we noticed a very interesting picture, cucumbers are lying right on the exit, there are glass bottles, apparently left by visitors.
As upset as possible by the visit.

The place itself certainly deserves attention and it is interesting to visit here. A building with a history of over 100 years! Who wasn't there of the people who left a serious mark on history. However, since this is primarily a restaurant, I was not satisfied! On the recommendation of the waiter, I ordered a rack of lamb, and received a kebab from an old ram, and this is of course a failure for an institution claiming some pathos. I also didn't like the musical accompaniment at all. On a rather large stage, a single woman dressed in casual clothes sang a repertoire completely detached from the entourage of the institution.

Gagripsh- makes me feel special... I liked the inside more than the outside. A wide staircase in the old style beckons to climb up, and there is a huge hall decorated with side balconies. Everything is made of natural wood - beautifully carved handmade. There is a beautiful view of the sea from the windows. All side entrances and exits are made in the old style, which gives this hall harmony and splendor... As for the food, it's a long wait and my score is 4 with a minus. I really liked the singer with a good voice and a wonderful repertoire, I wanted to listen and listen to her.

I ordered 2 dishes, this is grilled Dorado fish and it was delicious, but the second dish was grilled vegetables, the abomination was disgusting, the tomato was huge and had the consistency of porridge, the same bvl and eggplant, bell pepper was served with bones and that was almost like porridge (I did not eat such terrible vegetables anywhere). I am completely and completely disappointed in this place and will never come back.

23.07. it was my birthday and we, as part of 2 people, decided to celebrate it modestly at the famous Gagripsh restaurant.
We knew about the deposit of 2000rubles per person in advance.
We arrived at the institution in the evening, there were enough empty seats in the hall itself, in some places there were signs "rezrv", but there were also enough places without them. We were asked how many people there would be, we said that it would be just the two of us, then the girl looked around the whole hall and said that she could only offer a table on the balcony.
Well, on the balcony, so on the balcony. It seemed strange to us, given the availability of seats in the hall, but without a second thought, of course, we agreed. Then we realized that there are smoking areas everywhere around the perimeter of the balcony (tables with ashtrays and chairs) and we will have to eat in cigarette smoke. In my opinion, first of all, it is more logical to put smokers at the tables on the balcony, they are more accustomed to being in this "aroma".
We studied the menu and made an order. The dishes did not wait long, the drinks were served first.
One set of devices is supplied.
For two of us we had 5 small dishes (2 bacon, potatoes, 2 cold appetizers with salmon) and 2 cocktails. It came out at 4,440rubles (excluding 15% for maintenance).
That was the end of the service. During our stay at the table, we were never approached again. No one cleaned up the dirty dishes, no one was interested in whether everything was fine with us and whether something else was needed, roughly speaking, they just gave up on us. For example, if one of us had a fork dropped, we would have to go out into the common room, look for our waiter and ask for new appliances, and then hope that they would not forget about us.
After all the dishes were already eaten, we sat for another 25 minutes in the hope that someone would come to us just to finally ask for the bill. But no one came. The option was already offered to just get up and leave, they would have remembered about us when they saw a table with dirty dishes, and the waiter would have paid for our dinner. But, we, decent citizens, decided to go out and ask for the bill. We couldn't find our waiter, we went up to the girl who was cleaning the table, asked to be counted, to which we received the answer: "I didn't put you there and I didn't serve you." Well, just no words...
then we saw our waiter, and he saw us coming out, ran up and asked: "Should I calculate you?" The waiter didn't seem to be interested in anything else. Soon we were presented with an invoice, which included 15% service!!! (previously it was 10%), which no one even mentioned. To my question: "What should I do if I didn't like the service?" I did not receive an answer, nor did I receive a clear answer to the question why we were put on the balcony if there were seats in the hall.
We asked for help to call a taxi, as this can only be done from local numbers. To which we were told that the taxis were downstairs.
When we went downstairs, we saw that no taxi was standing there, it was evening, it was dark, the buses were no longer running. Whatever you want, get there. We stood at the bus stop for 15 minutes in the hope that a passing taxi would pick us up. We were lucky, and soon we were in the room.
And, of course, there was live music in the restaurant, we only heard it through the walls and glass doors of the balcony and absolutely did not see who was playing. So, in our case, it is difficult to call it 'alive'.
As a result: If you are 2-3 people, then be prepared to be planted on the balcony and eat in cigarette smoke. Be prepared that they may forget about you and you will have to sit surrounded by dirty dishes, and you may not even wait for the bill!

An iconic restaurant from Soviet times. Everyone who came to rest in Gagra tried to visit Gagripsh. The building is in excellent condition. However, it was not possible to visit the restaurant itself, on 10/26/2024 it was closed for special wedding services until 11/01/2024. The location and views are simply gorgeous. Parking a car next to the restaurant is no problem.

Зашли в ресторан на кофе посмотреть место так как выбирали для дня рождения ресторан 🍽️ , нас встретил официант Андрей очень вежливый и дружелюбный, мы забронировали стол и все было прекрасно и вид с балкона и блюда и музыка живая , Был только один недостаток это поведение администратора.. ну понятно что люди устают от туристов И так далее … но войдя в ресторан на свой др такое себе слышать без здравствуйте, про депозит помните ? Шарики тут ваши ? Ну пойдемте .)) и потом еще ну вы кончено сели непонятно 🤣🤣 повезло с официантом реально , он сразу сделал настроение , и мы забыли про весь негатив и потом даже посмеялись 😆 спасибо Андрей желаем тебе самых лучших гостей 😊

Отличный ресторан, а главное с историей!!
Попасть в ресторан и отобедать может любой желающий, единственное условие - депозит в размере 1'500 рублей со взрослого человека и 700 рублей с ребёнка.
Все блюда, которые мы попробовали, были очень вкусными, особенно понравились национальные абхазские блюда, такие как:
- Акуджал - говядина, томлёная в горшочке с овощами и зеленью;
- Салат "Гагрипш" - салат из свежих огурцов с ветчиной и отварным говяжьим языком, рулетиками из яичного блина, заправленного соусом и сыром пармезан;
- Ачхаш по царски - хачапури с двойным слоем сыра;
Ну и в конце истории скажу, что если вы любите бывать в знаковых местах, да еще и вкусно в них покушать, то ресторан "Гагрипш" - идеальное место!!!
