A great, colorful place for a visit by a company or family. The atmosphere of the Middle Ages, as if you are immersed in the 16th and 17th centuries. Walking through the castle towers will leave a great impression, but you need to be prepared for narrow passages and uncomfortable ascents. There is a hotel, a dining room and a restaurant on site.
An interesting place. You should definitely plan to stop there if you are traveling from Minsk to Brest. There is something to see. And of course a delicious meal
A wonderful place! We were on a guided tour on August 8th. I really liked the castle. Well-groomed territory, a lake, cute turrets that you can enter, basements with a shop and a restaurant. To be remembered for a long time!
Very beautiful. We walked around the castle, along the narrow stairs, and learned a lot about the way of life and customs of those times. I advise you not only to visit, but also to take a ticket and take a walk through the expositions.
A very atmospheric place with excellent housing, good cuisine and, of course, a museum. I stayed there for the third time and as usual everything is at the highest level! If you want to plunge into the atmosphere of the Middle Ages, be sure to come here and spend the night!
A place with its own history. We must be aware that the wars of the 19th and 20th centuries left little of the authentic atmosphere of this "country house" of the Radziwills, but the museum staff is trying their best. While the exposition is still "in the works". But it's worth a visit, the photos are atmospheric. Well, have a cup of coffee in the interiors of the castle... In general, I recommend it. If you suddenly want to have a snack not in a castle restaurant, but somewhere cheaper in the World, it may happen that all establishments are already reserved for tour groups. Keep this in mind. Well, actually, besides the castle, there is an Orthodox church with its own history, a church and a synagogue. But here you need a good local guide. You won't regret it.
A gorgeous place, I visited with great pleasure. Special thanks to the guides who tell us so much about this castle in such interesting and detailed way, I learned a lot of interesting things for myself. I advise everyone to visit this place whenever possible.
The history of the Radziwills and Svyatopolk-Mirsky family is very fascinating. The tour is small, then free time. Athletic and physically strong will cope with climbing all the towers))) I want to see everything at once)))Take a look at the dungeon and dungeon. A park, a lake, a pine alley along the lake shore are gorgeous locations for photos.
A visit to the Mir castle complex in the Republic of Belarus left an unforgettable impression. This historical object impresses with its grandeur and beauty, as well as its well-preserved condition.
The castle itself is located in a picturesque place surrounded by lakes and forests. This creates a special atmosphere and makes it even more attractive for tourists.
Inside the castle you can see a lot of interesting exhibits that tell about the history of this place and how it was used in different eras. There is also a museum where various household items, weapons and other artifacts related to the life of the inhabitants of the castle are presented.
I would especially like to mention the work of the castle staff. They are very friendly, friendly and ready to help in any situation. Thanks to their efforts, visiting the castle becomes even more enjoyable and memorable.
In general, the Mir castle complex is one of the most interesting and beautiful places in Belarus, which is definitely worth a visit to anyone interested in the history and culture of this country.
A good castle complex. There is something to see. It is interesting to walk along narrow spiral stairs. Not a bad souvenir shop. There is a cafe in the basement with simple inexpensive food.
It can be seen that a lot has been restored, there is almost no original, but it is clean, comfortable, a great place to relax and explore history. The constantly running performance inside the castle in the open air is impressive, showing various actions of ancient times and costumes and props and drumming create a historical atmosphere. It is convenient with children.
It is interesting to climb the tower, listen to the story of those who lived in the castle. There is a large area for walking, there is a place for swimming and a snack. The area around the castle is always accessible. You can run for exercise and go for a walk in the evening.
This is an unreal beauty! A great place for educational and cultural recreation! You can walk around the castle grounds at night, admission is free. Well, in the daytime, take a guided tour or just go inside the castle with tickets, as well as climb the towers.
My husband and I are very impressed by visiting this unusual place! And I recommend everyone to plan when traveling to Belarus!
A good hotel to relax after the road and stop after excursions. It is located in the daytime for sightseeing, in order to return in the evening. Everything is clean, comfortable beds, both in the suite and in the comfort rooms.
A great attraction. There is something to show the guests of Belarus.
Next, everything is for the guests: photos on "tired" carriages - 2p. Per person. Also try to get an elderly man on it.)) The employees only take the payment and make sure that the children do not get in for free.)
Nevertheless, the service should be at its best. After all, it was possible to dress up the workers accordingly, and help with photo and video shooting, and get up and down on the carriages too.)
Well, this is a lyric.)
It's stuffy in the halls...we understand that the temperature is over 30, but... and no one has canceled mobile air conditioners.
The year of quality in the country!
Let's match.)
Here..to be very brief.)
Beautiful old castle, interesting to visit the tour, friendly women who work inside the halls of the castle. One even told us in detail the history of one of the halls, even what the ceiling was made of, the fabrics of the chairs and so on.A memorable lock.Towers are a separate story, these steep steps, the feet of office workers were buzzing.I can't imagine how the courtiers lived in these towers at that time...probably got up and that's it, live there)).Well, of course euphoric, memorable).I recommend.Near the castle of Mir, right across the street there is a cafe, delicious koryamyat , excellent solyanka.Even schoolchildren are taken there in groups. And there are all sorts of gifts, souvenirs in front of the castle
A very interesting castle! Well renovated, beautiful at any time of the year! They conduct interesting excursions! There is even a hotel inside the castle and a restaurant, if desired, you can stop to relax, plunging into the atmosphere of the Middle Ages! It is located near Minsk (1.5 hours drive), there is an opportunity to drive yourself and see the attraction. I recommend you to visit!
Very beautiful. It is definitely worth visiting this castle. It's beautiful, atmospheric. There is an opportunity to climb the castle towers, which offer stunning views. Interesting reconstructions. I am delighted with the visit.
Positive impressions cannot be described in words . Amazing architecture,
Of course, you can find fault with anything, but if you catch the positive from traveling, then of course you will like everything.
The ticket price is 17 bel RUB per person. There were 6 of us. The cost is certainly too high for everyone.
If for this amount, it is better to visit the castle in Nesvizh
A wonderful place, very beautiful and atmospheric. I liked that a lot of exhibits and eras are gathered in a small area. And making your way through narrow staircases and dark dungeons, the antiquity of this place is very felt.
An interesting tourist place, located an hour's drive from Minsk on a fairly comfortable road.
In general, it is suitable for walks and photo shoots, if you do not use the services of a guide.
If you come as part of an excursion, you will learn the whole history of the construction of this complex.
There is a cafe on the territory, we did not go in.
There is also a souvenir shop with fairly adequate prices, they accept MIR cards
I really liked it!!! The castle complex is beautiful, well maintained!! We took a tour , we didn't regret it!!! The price is reasonable and the guide is excellent!!! It is difficult to figure out the exposure yourself. A great trip to the past!
A place with a lot of energy! In comparison, it was 15 years of heaven and earth! A well-thought-out route in the museum, the exhibits are both authentic and replica are clearly described! Everything is improved near the castle, there is an observation deck, parking is not big! It is better to arrive at the beginning of the opening (crowded)
One of the castles in Belarus, which is desirable to visit. There are many colorful locations for fans of photo sessions. In addition to the souvenir shop on the territory of the castle, I advise you to visit the shops of craftsmen, where you can make many useful and interesting purchases.
A beautiful castle. I had a feeling that I was transported to the Middle Ages, but at the same time all the services are modern and comfortable. The tour was interesting. In the evening, the backlight is turned on. You can enter the territory (courtyard) after closing. The on-site cafe closes at the same time as the castle. It's small, but there's some delicious firewood. Of course, this castle is smaller than Nesvizh Castle, but it is not inferior in beauty.
Everything is very cool, cool, and beautiful. We were everywhere there, and in the restaurant, and in the hotel we spent the night, and walked around the castle itself. The food is delicious, I liked everything, the hotel is clean.
It 's a beautiful place... I completely felt the atmosphere of the castle...The guides are great... I highly recommend visiting this wonderful place....
It's a great place, the kids really liked it. The knights in the courtyard who fought with swords were especially impressed, the children could not be torn away. There are wonderful books for adults and children in the souvenir shop on the castle grounds. The attentive bartender girl in the coffee shop left a pleasant impression. Thank you very much!
A very interesting place, a great hotel. The staff has a very good attitude towards customers. This applies to the hotel, the restaurant, and the museum. For 5+.
Beautiful and atmospheric! One of the best preserved castles in Belarus. It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List! And also close to Minsk (100km). One of the disadvantages is the problem of having lunch in high season. There are few catering outlets, many of them work for organized groups.
History. With a capital letter.
A lake, a castle, an amazing park. Souvenirs. A great place to relax with the whole family.
Be sure to wear sports shoes in order to climb the stairs in the towers.
The rare beauty of the castle-fortress was liked by both children and adults. Interesting objects and interiors, climbing inside walls and towers is a separate quest)
In the castle itself, I would advise you to take an excursion (book in advance).
Near the entrance there is a small Parking lot (a little further, to the castle, there is another one), several souvenir shops, a restaurant. In summer, there is also a cafe and parking behind the castle in the town.
The castle itself also has a restaurant and a great hotel: comfortable modern rooms, very friendly staff.
Of the minuses: the backlight is turned on for 1 hour, from 20.30 to 21.30 - at other times even the paths are not illuminated, you will have to walk to the hotel from the parking lot in the dark by touch (thanks again to the staff - they helped and conducted).
An incredibly beautiful castle, we have long dreamed of visiting it! It is one of the four UNESCO monuments on the territory of Belarus. We were very lucky with the weather, walked around the museum complex, and then had a delicious breakfast in the castle restaurant. I definitely recommend you to visit!
An excellent historical complex. Excellent museum exposition. All historical epochs of the castle's existence are presented.
Perfect for a family visit. There is a beautiful park area around the castle.
A powerful Gothic castle, an example of defensive architecture.
At various times, it was owned by famous people, including the Radziwills.
Mir Castle participated in almost all the wars fought in Belarus, was repeatedly damaged and rebuilt.
You can climb the towers and walk through the walls, go down to the prison basement, visit the museum and the chapel -tomb of Svyatopolk Mirsky. Entrance is paid. There are different options for entrance tickets, the cheapest one includes towers and a prison
Climbing the towers is akin to extreme: very narrow stairs, no navigation, if you meet a stream of people, do not disperse. The prison basement is small and not interesting.
I can't say anything about the museum and the tomb, we didn't have time, we hung on the towers.
There is a lake and a small park near the castle.
There is a hotel at the castle.
The place is atmospheric, especially the patio.
A solid Gothic building dating back to the Lithuanian-Polish occupation of Belarus!🙂It is definitely recommended for examination. When the park is finished, it will be a complete complex.
In fact, I don't particularly like castles and castle complexes. This is because a cramped space enclosed by large walls usually gathers a number of people exceeding this space. And the atmosphere of the walls does not have the proper effect when for every historical square centimeter there is someone's foot, arm, backpack... But not this time. It was different in Mir Castle. Of course, in the main part of the castle (household, residential, whatever), it was impossible to set foot. People filled the whole space, it was difficult to see anything. But according to the tickets, we also had to visit a separate part of the castle - the facade. When we went there, we met an aunt with an already grown-up daughter, who assured us that there was nothing to see, that there was nothing interesting there. We (me, my son Miroslav and my niece Polina) decided that it was necessary to form our own opinion and confidently accelerated the step. They went down to the prison, where the guillotine was kept, and there were shackles on the floor. A very cramped and gloomy room with a peculiar damp smell. The most exciting sensations overtook us when we climbed the tower through a narrow spiral passage with short high steps. I must say the advantages of this part of the exhibition:
1. There were no guides or caretakers on the way, we were on our own.
2. Variability. There were many alternative passages, ascents and descents along the way. It's almost a maze.
3. There were few people. Apparently, someone did not know that the tickets include 2 locations, or simply did not want to walk through narrow tunnels alone, or was afraid of high cramped climbs; well, or, as in our case, was disappointed and did not go further.
It was all to our advantage. Personally, I absorbed the energy of the stone walls, which put pressure on us not only mentally, but also physically, by 200%. The children also really enjoyed climbing, reasoning, coming up with their own alternative stories of these passages, walls, elevators, hatches, loopholes. We walked down each aisle (sometimes twice), comprehended each of the floors and had a lot of fun. The moral boost was very high, although physically it was very tiring. Our legs remembered this adventure for two or three more days, when we went down one of the stairs, or just squatted.
In short, do not listen to anyone, think with your own head and do not weigh unnecessary information. If it goes against your plan, then it should not have weight and it should not be taken into account on the opposite side of the scale. From myself, I definitely recommend not to disdain the second location of the Mir Castle, soak up this extraordinary atmosphere, it will be with you for a long time!
The beautiful castle culture of Belarus is impressive. The castle is located in a picturesque location. There is parking. The most interesting excursions. Attentive and polite museum staff
A wonderful museum. It is better to plan a visit, not on holidays. With a large number of people, it is impossible to get to some expositions. And it is better to visit with an excursion.
Great! Luxury apartments. The restoration is wonderful. There is an edible restaurant in the basement. There is a real maze in the fortress walls. A museum with a fascinating exposition.
It is a very beautiful historical place. Inside there are excursions, a souvenir shop, catering right in the castle and a hotel. You can climb a lot of ancient passages and walk around.
It's a beautiful place. It is very beautiful and interesting. You can climb the towers and look at the surroundings from a height. My daughter, my friends and I really liked it.
There were huge changes in the World 10 years ago compared to the past! The territory was cultivated around the castle, the castle itself was restored, everything was very pleasant
A very beautiful castle, definitely worth a visit! It is better, of course, with a guide
On the territory you can take a walk, buy souvenirs
It is better to wear something comfortable to climb the tower
A very beautiful and sincere place! We were with my husband in May 2024. We liked everything! Interesting museum expositions, a convenient audio guide with which we could listen to all the important and interesting facts about the museum's exposition without waiting for a group tour accompanied by a guide)
A must-visit! Beautiful well-groomed territory, many locations, inside the castle, be sure to take an audio guide, allocate at least three hours to visit.
