The castle is amazing in size, it is bigger than Nesvizh Castle. Although it seems to be more comfortable inside in Nesvizh. There are a lot of narrow, tall ladders in the towers, obese people can not overpower. And if the crowd descends at the top and rises at the bottom, congestion occurs. Those at the top are shouting: wait, we're coming down... in general, it's fun. You need to relax and feel adventurous. There were crowds of tourists in winter, and probably even more in summer. Most likely, it is better to arrive at the opening itself, when there are fewer people. There is always a small performance with knights in the courtyard.
An interesting place. There is a small parking lot. It's a nice park. An interesting tour of the museum. It is more profitable to buy a complex ticket. There's a nice restaurant in the basement.
An amazing place, great rooms, once you check in, you will feel like a part of that era))
There is something to see and where to walk, the rooms are clean and very comfortable, everything is thought out, even automatic curtains that open and close with a button, the staff is responsive and prompt, we liked everything, we will come back again! We recommend it!
The old walls, 2.5 meters thick, are amazing. A lot has been done. Both the hotel and the restaurant. There is something to see. There are many antiques and luxury items. The castle is beautiful. A must-visit.
I really liked it)) it is a very beautiful place, the guide told everything in detail and interesting. We were impressed by the scale) inside there is a restaurant where we tasted some of the most delicious shingles in my life)) stairs leading to the top of the tower are not for everyone, their legs hurt for the third day)
It's a great place, the museum has all the most interesting things at the very top. The park around the castle is simply magical.
We stayed overnight in a hotel located in the castle itself, sleeping in the castle is a special pleasure, you feel like a princess))
The breakfast menu in the restaurant in the basement of the castle is very meager, but pancakes with cottage cheese, fried in breadcrumbs, with some interesting name, just a delight!!!
Beautiful medieval castle. A lot of work has been done on restoration, everything is clean, neat, in some places even too modern. In the palace part there is a large museum with exhibits from different eras brought from different parts of Europe, including Russia, so I advise you to buy a ticket that includes a visit to all parts of the castle. A good impression was spoiled only by the restaurant that is located on the territory of the castle. For half an hour that we were there, we did not even accept an order. The waiters were "caught" several times, but they refused to accept the order. And we weren't the only ones. They left hungry and disappointed
Do you want to find yourself in the Middle Ages? You definitely need to visit Mir Castle!
Upon approaching the castle, you will be amazed by its majestic silhouette towering over the surrounding area. Huge towers, battlements and crumbling stones will take you to another era.
Entering the gate, you will find yourself in a fabulous atmosphere. Thick walls, steep stairs and mysterious passages will create a unique flavor. Imagine how knights and noble ladies lived here, heard the clash of swords and the rustle of dresses.
You will be particularly delighted with the tower, which offers a panoramic view of the surrounding area. From here you can admire the picturesque landscapes and feel connected to the past.
An equally interesting tour of the castle halls will be. You will learn about its rich history, the change of owners and how it witnessed many important events. Each exhibit will tell its own unique story, immersing you in the atmosphere of those times.
For example, in the knights' hall you will see heavy armor, massive swords and coats of arms. Imagine how feasts, tournaments and ceremonies took place here.
And in one of the halls you will find an unusual surprise - a crocodile on a chandelier! According to legend, his effigy was brought from distant countries by one of the owners of the castle.
Do not forget to visit the Radziwills family burial, located in the Svyatopolotsk-Mirsky tomb. There you can see the tombstones that keep the memory of a noble family.
A walk through the Mir Castle will take you to another era and leave an unforgettable impression. Here, history comes to life before your eyes, and you will feel like a part of the medieval world.
I really liked the castle. Its location, condition, decoration, paintings, portraits, busts of the Rodzeville dynasty. I admire everyday life, luxury and beauty. The castle looks like a residential one - installations, firewood in fireplaces, flowers in vases. The legends and interesting stories of the guide enliven the idea of the owners of the castle. I highly recommend visiting this wonderful place surrounded by picturesque nature.
A great place for the whole family to visit, it is located in a very picturesque place, there is also a very large exposition, an opportunity to explore the castle from the inside and appreciate the beauty of that time.
If you have been to Ragnit in the Kaliningrad region and dreamed of seeing that architectural ensemble "as before" - you are here. It's cool that there was time, money, and people who were able to restore both the medieval fortress and the castle part. Now it's interesting, beautiful, and informative. The tour only needs to be taken for the first time. Right in the castle complex. It is better to get here by private transport, rather than as part of an excursion group. To travel at your own pace to all possible locations. By the way, some of the travel options may not work on Monday.
I was here more than 15 years ago. Of course, the difference between what was and what has become is huge. It is very beautiful and rich. It's nice to know that this is the history of our country. And that it is presented with dignity!
It's a very interesting castle. It's not big, but it's very specific and beautiful. There are a lot of people on holidays, so choose the right days for viewing. Interesting interior spaces, but again, when there are a lot of people, it's very difficult to see everything.
A stunning castle. With a rich, complex, interesting history, shrouded in legends and original architecture in a very picturesque place.
To explore the castle, I recommend taking an excursion- experts in their field are here, it is much more informative to walk around the castle with a guide than to study some things yourself. There is a hotel in the walls (which must be strongly booked in advance) and a restaurant with a cafe. You can climb into all the towers, climb the combat passages of the walls and even go down to the dungeon. If you are lucky, then representatives of the historical club can perform on the castle square in appropriate attire, with a gun, scenes (we were lucky and we got to the medieval Scottish infantry, they staged an execution and fought with swords).
There is also a good cafe opposite the castle, if you are with children and tired after visiting.
It is wonderful that the dilapidated, dilapidated place has been restored so qualitatively and interestingly. Respect to restorers and historians!
An amazing place, with a century-old history, we stayed for three days, there is a small hotel in the castle, we got a two-level room, a bed, a sofa, armchairs, cabinets, a table, a large refrigerator, two bathrooms, which was very convenient, two TVs, there was not enough kettle). The rooms are clean, all toiletries were provided, hairdryer, bathtub with hydro massage. The staff is very helpful. There is a restaurant on site, everything is delicious, there is a cafe just a stone's throw away, it's a little cheaper there, it's also delicious, but not so atmospheric, there are a couple more cafes in the distance, but we haven't been there. There is free parking for hotel visitors. The territory of the castle and the park is very clean, well-groomed, it is pleasant to walk, the place is very beautiful, it is definitely worth visiting at least for a day and staying at the castle, go to the museum and just take a walk, feel the atmosphere.
It's beautiful, cozy in places. The entrance to the courtyard is free, there are plenty of parking around. The girls took beautiful photos and are also happy. We did not eat in a restaurant where the prices are horse-drawn, but in a nearby cafe, where they are 2 times lower. The assortment is really modest and there is not much space, but we were lucky and we fit in five. Walk inside and outside for an hour, if you don't go to museums. I liked it, I recommend it
I was there for the first time about 25 years ago. Therefore, I am pleasantly surprised how the castle was put in order. The interiors and ceilings were amazing inside. The exposition about the owners is also interesting. There are a lot of visitors, so it was not possible to get on the tour, the audio guide helped out. The Scots had fun in the courtyard of the castle. Overall, the impression of the visit was very pleasant
It's not a very big castle, but it's atmospheric. Here you can stroll through the gallery with a view of the city.
Affordable ticket prices, there are discounted days and discounted tickets, the caretakers are polite and excellent guides.
The most beautiful castle. There is a lot of space, air and light inside. Beautiful, cozy halls. Everything is royal. Simple and majestic at the same time. We visited the castle an hour before closing and never regretted it, as we went alone and it seemed that we had come to visit and now its other inhabitants would come out here.
It is a pity that we could not stay at the castle hotel, as we had not booked in advance and there were no seats. All the guides were also busy, so you need to book the tour in advance. At the castle there is a wonderful restaurant with chic draniki and amazingly delicious brushwood.
A wonderful and very interesting place. A must-see. I'm not really interested in history, but I was interested here. I was particularly impressed by the architecture of the castle
A very atmospheric place
We were at the New Year holidays
There was a very high-quality costume performance in the courtyard (on the subject of Irish mercenaries)
There are many interesting exhibits inside, all very well maintained
I liked everything
What upset me is that the ascents and descents are physically difficult, this is understandable. But at the same time, there is a perfect disorganized route inside the towers, people constantly interfere with each other on narrow steep stairs
The castle has been renovated, it is interesting to take a walk and get into that era. Few ancestral furniture has been preserved from the furnishings, but now the collection is being replenished with worthy exhibits. You can climb the towers, they have narrow passages and steep circular stairs and only for one person. They make you sweat. But the view from the top of the tower is not forgettable.
Beautiful castle and the surrounding area. It is also interesting inside, especially on the walls and inside the towers, which offer excellent views of the surrounding area. There are a lot of people, we'll have to hang out on the weekend. you put in a couple of hours for an inspection, if you do not seek to learn the whole history of the Radziwills in all the details, this is quite enough. There is no special point in the guide, you can take the audio and not follow the leader in single file. Local souvenirs are sold near the castle, not all Chinese ones) are needed for personal ones.
A beautifully preserved and restored castle with a love of detail, which has a good restaurant, a cozy inexpensive hotel, an exciting museum exhibit, various activities and a spacious beautiful area for walking around.
It's a very atmospheric place.A beautiful old castle museum, you will have to walk through narrow loopholes into the towers (there are many steps), go down to the prison cell. There are a lot of exhibits, it took us about 2.5 hours to inspect (we were without a tour).Quiet, measured.Parking is available, excursions are available, there are benefits for large families.
There are a lot of impressions, I really liked the winter atmosphere, there are a lot of impressions left, and I also want to note that when you get to this place, you feel like a child trapped in the past. If you are planning a trip, I highly recommend it.
It's a great place, not the biggest castle there is, but the exposition has left a pleasant mark. There are no people on weekdays, we went by ourselves without an excursion, It's worth a visit, and if you take a car, you can also go to Nesvizh Castle, it's close there.
A very beautiful place! If you are here in sunny weather, you can take a lot of wonderful photos! People come here on excursions, you can relax and have a snack here. Climbing the tower, through the small windows you can see the surrounding buildings from a height. But be prepared for very steep steps. Untrained people have very bad leg pain for several days after climbing and descending.
I can't say about the whole complex, because we were passing through and visited only the park nearby and the inner territory, but we were still impressed. I want to come back, stay in a local hotel and fully immerse myself in this atmosphere!
An incredibly beautiful castle with a fascinating history🔥We didn't have time for the tour, but we ate at the Belarusian cuisine restaurant in the basement of the castle. From the mere thought that princes once dined there.
I really liked the theatrical show of the knights. It's a military castle, you can feel it. On the tour, they only tell the story of the owners of the castle, the rest is on their own. There's not much to see in the towers.
There are interesting exhibits, you can dig into the history. And it's a great place to go for a walk. Garden, history, temple. The caretaker staff would be a little friendly, but it's kind of like a classic. And it is a pity that the castle got enough and the original appearance is lost.
It was winter. There were performances playing in the courtyard. In armor, boots, helmets. Interesting, but cold. There are many interesting things inside, although of course the history of the castle affects the assortment presented - the former greatness has been lost. But the museum has done a lot to make it interesting. And the narrow stairs are just a delight. Especially when there aren't many people. This may be a problem in the summer months.
It's a good place, you can feel the history, it's a pity that there are a lot of new clothes and it shows. and so everything is well-groomed. it is interesting to see, and take a walk if the weather is good, the same is normal.
I visited this beautiful palace and park ensemble in the Minsk region of Belarus with the Viapol travel agency (in cooperation with the Moscow travel agency Rus). Stunning views of the surroundings, careful attitude to the heritage of antiquity, interesting educational excursions leave indelible impressions!
A great historical place, suitable for a trip with the whole family, for those who love the history of their country, this is what you need, the ticket price is adequate, children get a discount
It's very atmospheric, I advise you to stay overnight in the room. The view is great, all the equipment is working. The restaurant is gorgeous , especially the snails, I recommend it!
I was at the castle in early January. I parked almost in front of the entrance on the side of the road. That's what all the locals do, no one seems to have been evacuated or fined. A ticket to visit all the places cost 18 Belarusian rubles, and an audio guide cost 6 rubles. I recommend the audio guide, because it makes the story and some facts clearer. You can visit the castle itself, the prison, climb the wall, climb the towers, go to the castle church. There are actually few originals for weapons and armor, but the replicas are well made.
An excellent complex. First-time visitors should take into account the steep internal steps. There is something to see. I advise you to read the history of the castle in advance. especially the war period of 1941-1945.
An interesting, historical place! The review is better with a guide! If you plan to visit Nesvizh as well, you should start with this castle. Nesvizh is more crowded, and the world will look gray against its background.
A wonderful monument to the great past. The atmosphere is very pleasant. You can take a walk in the park, you can visit the museum located in the castle. A gift shop with a wide variety of products. It is possible to take a personal tour. A great opportunity to immerse yourself in the life and lifestyle of the Radziwills. There are very few such interesting objects left in Belarus. There is enough parking on a weekday, it will be cramped on weekends. And if you stand on the bridge, near the cafe, and look into the water, under the bridge, you can see schools of fish. And don't forget a loaf to feed the ducks.
Beautiful, definitely beautiful. I do not recommend climbing to the top of the towers. There's nothing to see there except the panorama, and your legs will hurt. Stop at the level of a cook from the time of the near-war. A woman with an ironic fate. And a minus point for the fact that there are too few halls for such a price. But that's just my opinion. It is definitely worth a visit.
I liked the castle, the surroundings are also beautiful. You can buy a souvenir from local craftsmen for a small fee (cheaper than in Minsk itself). The guide was not impressed, there was a feeling that she was conducting excursions for schoolchildren and children (the expression "And we will find out at the end of our meeting", of course surprised me. We should have received an answer to any question at the end of the tour, but unfortunately we did not receive it.
We were delighted with visiting the castle, both outside and inside everything is very beautiful and interesting, there is still Nesfizh Castle not far from it, it is very convenient to visit both in one trip!I definitely recommend it)
A gorgeous place, very very atmospheric. I advise you to stop by, the area around the castle is very beautiful. By the time of 3-4 hours, lay it boldly. The castle is just a delight, quite large, 2 types of tours of the towers, and a museum. The feeling of time travel is present!! I recommend.
An amazing place with its own unique atmosphere, there is an opportunity to try the local traditional cuisine, but you need to count on waiting, it will suit all lovers of antiquity. I recommend a walk around the lake.
It is a very beautiful and interesting place.
Visited in early April 2024 on their own.
I liked the basements and the exits to the towers. A lot of antique armor and weapons.
Steep and narrow stairs are interesting. The history of the castle during the First World War and the Second World War is interesting. Several Soviet and Russian films were shot in the castle - "Sniper. Weapons of retribution.", "Three fun shifts"
I recommend to visit. It is 94 km away from Minsk by car.
Mir Castle impressed with its beauty, an English park with a pond, a church-tomb of the princes Svyatopolk-Mirsky. We also managed to watch a theatrical performance in the courtyard of the castle, with cannon shots, drumming and sword fighting. There are steep steps in the castle, which are located in defensive towers, comfortable shoes helped me out when climbing)))
A must-have for tourists to visit. Interesting for adults, not boring for children. It is worth buying a guided tour, the guide service costs $ 12, but visits to the castle will be filled with information about the history of the castle, the owners, and the museum exhibits.
