I was on vacation at the Rixos Bab Al Bahr Hotel and it was an unforgettable stay. The hotel is located on the shores of the Persian Gulf and offers luxurious rooms with sea views.

Great vacation with children.

The tour is from 22.06 to 01.07 two adults, two children. After reading a bunch of reviews , there was a double impression , but a large number of children 's activities outweighed and did not lose . We are happy with everything! Arriving at the hotel at 10:00, we checked into the 1st building immediately. Premium room . The rooms are not new, but everything is clean, cleaning, towels were changed every day. There is a wide variety of restaurants, no one was left hungry. Children are always busy!) we went to the sea only early in the morning, then the water warms up a lot (this should be understood when you go to the UAE in the summer), pools with gorgeous comfortable water. I tell you: I am a child and my friend is also a child, our mothers and I came to the slides on the yellow and blue ones it says "attention, the depth of the pool is 150cm, those who cannot swim be careful and there was a red slide. I liked the hotel as a whole - cozy territory, white sand on the beach, clean sea. A lot of entertainment for adults (sports, restaurants, spas, etc.). I liked the food, animation and entertainment for children (there is even a water park). Many of the hotel staff speak Russian. Categorically did not like the cleaning of the room. In two weeks - removed 4 times. It got to the point that the room was running out of toilet paper, water and everything in the mini-bar. There was even talk about changing dirty towels and bed linen. For the second year in a row, we visit the UAE at the end of February and choose Rixos.
It works according to the UAI system and includes a lot of useful and interesting things in the price:
First of all, children. They always have something to do at any time of the day. A lot of activity with cooking, mini-disco, two play areas with 12!!! PlayStation 5, a small sports town and a water park with 4-5 slides.
Adults don't get bored either. In addition to the beach, a bar with sofas on the lawn, a lot of attention is paid to sports. This is not only Bocce, volleyball, but also pool games in water polo, cycling, water cycling in the pool, and for those who wish, individual training with a coach. There is not exactly a functional, but a funny wooden gym near the beach (photo).
In the evening, there are two entertainment programs on two stages at the same time. They mostly sing on one, and dance on the other. I would like to write about the group of animators, if you can call them that, separately. This is not as usual in Turkey, one group of 6-8 people, which dances, conducts darts, and entertains children, holds contests with spoons in the pool, and organizes a costume show in the evening. In this Rixos, each specialist is engaged only in his own field. Evening shows with dancing and gymnastic inserts are performed by pros in the show. It can be seen that this is some kind of high-level dance group. Singers turn on the audience perfectly, sometimes in a compartment with alcohol even too much))
The staff at the hotel is responsive and tries to resolve all issues promptly. The girls lost their phone on the first day, it was found in a completely different place from where they thought they had left it, according to the cameras. Then the children scored a tablet in one of the ala-maps. In the morning, I found myself at the reception without any problems.

Even a fastidious person cannot blame the poor choice or taste of food. There is everything here and every evening there are different themed dinners by country. Personally, as a lover of spicy food, I gorged on food from a corner of India. Curry with curry under curry dressing and a little more fragrant pepper on top))
We discussed with friends at the end of the trip about our impressions and what are the disadvantages. There was a minus in food. Fresh vegetables! It is unclear how it was possible to find and buy such bad tomatoes and cucumbers with greens. Tomatoes are crunchy plastic, cucumbers and greens are quite bitter.
Restaurants on site. There are about 5 restaurants where you can sign up and it is better to do it immediately upon arrival at the hotel, as the places are quickly dismantled. We were in meat and seafood. It's delicious, but the disadvantages are that the time is limited to 1.5-2 hours. They don't kick you out, but if you stay too long, then the next people may not sit at the tables allocated for them and not immediately.
Outside the hotel.
A great promenade for evening walks or jogging. There is a wide track with a soft surface for runners 4 km in one direction. (Photo) In the evenings, we walked there after gluttony at dinner.

Minuses:
- the level of service with Rixos on Palm is only in name.
- the reference group of guests is not for the premium tourist. There are too many families with children from CIS countries who litter a lot on their own
- queues in the dining room, queues are created artificially at the entrance
- the rooms are tired, the smell of a landfill at night from the rooms facing the road, the smell of burnt tires, you can't open the windows
- the sand on the beach is made of broken shells, it hurts to step on
- covering the tennis court and basketball court with asphalt (there is no money to cover it with polyurethane) is the norm for Cuba, not for the UAE
- the Internet is not working in the business center in the only computer, I was never able to work during my vacation (I prudently did not take the laptop)
- there are almost no fruits in the dining room, no mango, no papaya
- in the dining room, the staff did not allow me to pour juices into cups, in their opinion, I have the right to pour juices only into a transparent small glass
Pros: proximity to CANCER, you can open new malls, authentic ones. This is where the advantages end

The rooms are an old housing stock that has been in need of renovation for a long time! The room cleaning was terrible and the service included, I had to constantly call the reception asking for "towels, blankets, bathrobes and a toilet.papers)))"

The room is excellent (it was a family room, 2 rooms, one with a bed built for children) - fresh, each room has its own bathroom, the children are happy! The repair is fresh.
A buffet without frills "like everywhere else".
Alcohol by all-inclusive in all bars is local. You have to pay extra for brands.
Show programs are normal.
Children's club - norm. The animators are great, they spend their activities with dedication. There are master classes, although the number of places is limited - you need to come in advance and stand in line to record. In the children's club itself, outside of activities, it's boring - there is a cinema where cartoons are non-stop and everything hangs there. There is a simple lego, well, and tables for drawing. Moreover, the area of the club allows you to come up with something else. There is a children's playground - trampoline, slides, a loophole... Next to the club there is a fenced pool for kids.
Pools are normal. There are enough sun beds, although not near the pool. Towels are also in abundance.
Aquagorks - there are 3 pieces, for children who can swim. without awnings. There is not enough water zone with splashes.
A child of 3-5 years old - in general, it would be boring from the point of view of infrastructure. BUT it saves a lot of Russian-speaking children. They bunch up and find something to do. Older children - more interesting.
The territory of the hotel, though small, compared to Egypt-Turkey, but well-groomed. I would like to have more tall trees and canopies.
The beach is artificial, bulk, there are shells and pebbles along with the sand, but it is normal to go without shoes. In the water, after 10 meters, small algae begin. It would be nice to clean it. Because when the tide is out, you walk halfway across the grass.
The Internet catches, but not everywhere is good. VPN doesn't work well. Audio and video calls via messengers do not pass at all.

This location is separate - the hotel is located on an island where construction is going on around. There are no malls or entertainment nearby - just the hotel and the bay.
Now the Riksos itself is not the usual Turkish Riksos with their service, check-in ahead of time is not possible here, as well as staying in the room on the day of departure later than 12-00.
It is very inconvenient with cleaning the room - you need to constantly turn on the cleaning sign and it will be cleaned at best only in the evening, and you also need to constantly remind about the brush, bathrobes and adapters for sockets.

They feed well , in a variety of ways , a lot of meat, ate with pleasure. We are conceptually satisfied with the food. In principle, there are a lot of people, but the hotel handles it normally, there is no antagonism.
Bars, pools - everything is not bad. Sports activities - the order: football, basketball, tennis, water polo, volleyball)) , the gym is normal, only the dumbbell row is too short, ends at 24 kg..(( from the bad : if you arrive in the morning , you will be checked in , but breakfast is not allowed. If you leave in the evening, it will be extended for 1-1.5 hours, but the food is for the money. This is the first time I've seen this. This was the first time we were in this hotel. The emotions are quite positive from the visit: the cuisine is very diverse (different cuisines of the world and topics are covered all seven days a week), a good entertainment program for children and adults. However, there is also a minus here – no entertainment after 23:00 for adults, I would like music and dancing.
The area is very well maintained, green and picturesque. There are quite a few locations for photos of flora and yourself.
There are many pools for all ages: for children, with a limit of 16+ and without restrictions. The water in them is very comfortable and cool.
The Persian Gulf pleases with its hot water, rather stormy fauna (stars, crabs, crustaceans and fish), diving with a mask is the best thing!
The beach is sandy (more like ground shells). The sun beds are in excellent condition, there is also a differentiation of zones – with children and 16+.
The rooms are clean, cleaned every day.
Spacious and well-conditioned inside.
Here, the minus is COCKROACHES.
We met 2 individuals. It was quite upsetting.

We rested there in August 2023
The room is not big but cozy,

The food in the restaurant is plentiful, for every taste.
There were few swims in the sea, because the water is very warm, it is not comfortable.
There are several pools, it's cooler there. There are children's water slides, but very primitive, for kids.
On the second day after the star, a fire alarm went off in the hotels, an evacuation was announced. Everyone grabbed the documents and rushed outside, then everyone was taken to the beach. People were also kicked out of the sea and swimming pools.
Everyone stood in the heat for about an hour.
Then they were allowed to return to the rooms.
It turned out that they conducted exercises and this happens twice a year.
As an apology, a small cupcake was brought to the rooms in the evening.
The incident was very stressful.

I didn't believe in a fairy tale because of my age. But, I really got into an Arabic fairy tale. Live music, food, service, room all at the highest level! We had a rest in October 2023. The water in the sea is +28, the air temperature is 38 degrees. There are a lot of impressions. The rooms are super clean, cleaning is daily.
