Left a kid with the cats and it was fun for both us and her,so should you want some time for yourself with your child under a close feline supervision,go for it.
We visited the most spiritual place in Minsk yesterday - the Museum of the Cat. A place of power!!! We have dreamed of coming here for a very long time and, of course, the visit exceeded all expectations. They gave away their soul, the space is just blissful, very cozy, you can walk around it for hours to enjoy the greatness of cats of different colors, and the space itself can be explored endlessly, and even if you pass for the tenth time, you still meet something new and very original. The cats are calm and friendly, many of them willingly go to their hands, they are happy to wait for them to be petted. Everyone has their own sleeping place. Now there are five-month-old babies, they are very playful, chasing mice, jumping, the child is so stuck that they enjoyed almost half the day. And then, if you suddenly fall in love with a furry friend, you can take him to yourself and not be separated. And if you don't have a friend yet, don't miss the opportunity to add a new resident to your family, especially since all the cats have been vaccinated and examined at a veterinary clinic, who need treatment, they are very nice and well-mannered. Here you will be told the whole story of any furry guest, his habits and habits. There is a place to relax, just play board games, and draw all the drawings that remain about your presence on the walls of the museum, which is very touching and incredibly interesting to read, drawings from 0 to 47, this touching drawing made you smile. Don't stay indifferent, come get a four-legged friend if you don't have one yet. And we were infinitely glad to enjoy such a spiritual place, this museum is simply amazing and how great it is that it exists. I wish good luck to the whole team in their necessary and difficult task. I highly recommend visiting this museum, it fills the soul with kindness, gives strength and energy!!! Tested on yourself!!!
This place is just a godsend for the soul) Such warm, affectionate, contact cats that the heart melts from the first minutes. A cozy atmosphere, you can sit with tea or coffee, play with purring beauties, and draw. And most importantly, you're not just having a good time, you're doing a good deed: all the money from the tickets goes to care for the seals, many of whom used to be homeless. And if someone has a special crush on you, you can even take them home. We came out of there with a smile, a full heart and a feeling that there was a little more goodness in the world)) Big kiss helmet Henry 💜💜💜
We stopped by the Minsk Cat Museum on our way. It turned out to be an incredibly atmospheric, soulful place! The cats are affectionate and cute, the administrators are friendly. There is tea and tabletops. But most impressive of all is the collection of drawings on the seal theme. A solid layer on the walls and ceiling. From very childish, to quite professional adults. With or without labels. Funny and touching. They can actually be viewed endlessly.
The only thing that's frustrating is it's stuffy. If this is critical for someone, it is better to take it into account.
It's not a bad place. Lots of space, the seals have their own rooms to relax in. The cat's toilet smells moderately and in places. It stinks more of the aroma sticks that the employee carefully fumigates every hour. When I left the restaurant, I realized that all my clothes, hair and things smell of these sticks. And it seems to me that this smell is not useful at all for cats. The cats are a little tired, but we managed to play with some of them. Overall, it's a little sad, there's a feeling that they've been bullied there. But it's probably better than outside. There are many places where you can sit, draw or sort out puzzles. There is also a cooler and plastic cups, you can brew a tea bag.
Very friendly museum staff, charming cats, affectionate, but I fell in love with Stesha))) lots of board games, free tea, coffee. I wish you prosperity, you are doing a good deed, helping out stray cats! Many people write that it smells here, but what do you want from so many animals? The main thing is that the cats are happy🥰
There is definitely a place for seal lovers, the staff is good and friendly, there are drawings of visitors all over the square and you can draw and hang them too! There are also rooms with puzzles, books, board games, markers, stands with figurines (with seals, of course). One cat scratched, but I didn't know it was aggressive, I found out only later. And Temka the cat is very playful, I liked it the most! (he's in the video). student ID for children-15p, for adults 25p. also free tea and sweets
An absolutely adorable cat space! It is small, but very cozy. For a nominal fee, you can drink tea with cookies and chat with the fluffy staff. The seals are calm and friendly, many of them willingly go to their hands. And you can also get a furry friend here! So do not miss the opportunity to replenish your family with a new resident, especially since all the seals are rescued by volunteers, vaccinated and very well-mannered. The cat Leaf in particular stole my heart.
We visited this place today with my husband, and were very satisfied)
We were pleasantly greeted, they explained the rules and showed us where to take off our outerwear. I expected the room to be smaller, but it looked like a 4- or 5-room apartment, as if I was not in a museum, but on a visit. (But I still think that if there were a lot of people, it would already be crowded)
There was a smell of latkes mixed with food in the room, but they quickly got used to it)
There are a lot of different seals, but many of them stayed in the room where they were fed, so unfortunately not all of them could be seen.
It's great that the museum has board games, books, and puzzles. Thanks to these activities, we spent more than an hour there, that's for sure, and the atmosphere was also created by drawings from people from different cities and music.
We will definitely come again)
A kind and necessary place, inside you can meet a variety of beautiful seals, of course, as well as many images and sculptures of seals, and also caring people caring for wayward four—legged creatures. The owner knows everything about each of his furry guests, he will be happy to talk with you. The entrance fee is symbolic. Coffee and sweets are served here, there are play areas, and souvenirs can be purchased. And they also try to find a home for every cat here. I was glad to visit such an amazing museum in Belarus. I wish you good luck in your difficult task!
The best place for inspiration, tea drinking, spiritual relaxation and much more…
Real cat lovers will appreciate this place, regardless of the smells of the four-legged habitat and will have a great time
I will note the history, in the form of many paintings, stored right on the walls of the Museum
Leave your unique drawing on the wall of the museum and do not forget to mark the real date of your stay, it will be a good reason to return!
Well, remember that the places for new paintings will soon run out😉
The cat Museum, of course, is very difficult to call a full-fledged museum. As a seal fan, I just can't give these wonderful animals a low rating. But the owners of the museum should understand that there is a VERY strong smell of animal life inside. Because of the smell, it is difficult to stay inside for a long time and communicate with animals. In addition, there are many nooks and crannies in the room where cats hide, so out of 15 cats, only 5-6 were seen, and even fewer were petted.
Like for giving animals the opportunity to live and be loved!!But please think about removing the smell and making the room more pleasant to stay in.
It's a pity that for many people this place doesn't live up to its name. Yes, it may be true, but just look at how they love cats there! Each pet has its own place, toys, lots of trays, drinkers. People are doing good things by putting cats in families. We did not regret at all that we came here and found ourselves in a wonderful, kind corner where adults can feel like children, draw a picture and leave it as a souvenir, assemble a puzzle of seals, play with the residents of the museum, chat with volunteers! We had people looking out for a pet, and it was incredible.
Despite the smell at the entrance, the room itself is very clean, it is clear that order is being monitored here. Thanks to the organizers of this cat house for the opportunity to visit the cat world and chat with cute cats. Development and good pens for cats!
We went with the kids on weekends. The children were not very satisfied. We drove through half the city to find out that the seals were already in separate rooms and could only be viewed through glass.
Senior (10 years old) He kept himself busy with board games, and he liked the atmosphere of the museum itself.
Junior (6 years old) I was very upset that the cats were isolated and couldn't be played with/petted. We spent a total of 20 minutes there.
If we consider the ticket price as an aid to the seals - approx. But how did leisure go down in general.
We decided to visit this place together with a girl who I like very much, whom I love very much,we were completely satisfied, this place not only calms you down but also brings you closer to your loved one and animals, the place is very nice,it was clean and tidy, the staff is also great,I wish all the cats to find their home and good hosts and good health to them, it's a pity that there are 5 stars here, this place deserves more!!
It's a strange place. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't justify its cost, although I understand that it provides the seals with this.
The place is very small for a large number of people, although the attendance is indicated as less than average. Creaking floors and furniture, narrow corridors. The water boilers are almost empty, but tea and sugar are available.
The whole museum in pritsnip consists of children's drawings, it is interesting to look at, but no more.
The cats themselves are inactive, scared, always sleeping. Some people run away completely and don't want to make contact at all. They are sitting in rooms enclosed by houses. The room stinks of cat urine, but most of all of burning because of the incomprehensible incense that stands and smokes on the floor in wooden holders, where people and cats walk. At first glance, the security is so-so. It may be an interesting place for children, but it doesn't justify its cost in any way. If you are interested, then 15 rubles for children, 20 rubles for adults. We stayed there for 25 minutes today and left immediately, but I don't recommend going there and wasting so much of your money.
This place is not a museum!
It would be more correct to call it the "House of the Cat", a place where you feel like visiting cats! The tailed ones have their own rules here, like the owners of the house. Therefore, all angry and negative reviews can be canceled, because you are coming to visit! And visiting has its own rules! We enjoyed it so much, we were imbued with the atmosphere of friendship and love. It is so nice to see children's drawings on the walls, it is very valuable that such creativity is treated with care!
We have already visited the museum twice and will definitely come back again!
The cats are really friendly, they look happy. There is a question about the smell in the frequently asked questions on the website. The owners claim that it doesn't exist, but that's not true. The smell is there and very strong.Hands are treated at the entrance, for the safety of seals, but there is nowhere to wash your hands before tea. There is no toilet for visitors. He was allowed to visit for the staff, but had to wait quite a long time until he was released.Okay, I'm an adult, but the main audience of the museum is children. The impression is twofold.
To be honest, we expected a little different.
Well, let's assume that we financially helped the cats by paying for entrance tickets.
It might have been interesting for children, but for me (an adult cat fan) it was strange in this place. It smells strongly of the life activity of cats, all the cats are tired, sleeping and scared. The kids are torturing the poor devils, I wanted to give them a slap on the wrist 😂
It's great that stray cats have a home, but there wasn't enough interactive stuff, was there?
All the walls are decorated with children's drawings of cats, there are toys, figures in the form of cats, but no more
Great place! The cats are all clean and tidy, each with their own personality.
We were very impressed and, of course, could not leave without cute souvenirs with seals.
It's a very nice place, the cats are well-groomed and sociable, you can take care of the animals) you can take the cat to your home
Cats are not all tame , as they are street cats , but they are vaccinated and well-groomed .
I recommend it!
It's a great place!! Everyone must visit!! Kind staff, all the cats are affectionate, kind and all very beautiful. I've wanted to visit this place for a long time)
Cats are very affectionate, well-fed and clean🥰 It is clear that they are not hungry and well-groomed. There are a lot of beautiful pictures) There is a slightly specific smell, but over time you stop feeling it at all. I recommend it.
At the entrance, there is a terrible stench mixed with cheap incense. But the interest won out: why is there such a stir around this place? And there were so many people inside that it became a challenge to see at least one cat. Oh well, 20p per person. At the moment of payment, there was still hope for something interesting and adequate. And then - total disappointment. Trash, dirt, cats sleeping with their tongues hanging out. I don't even want to talk about children's drawings, it's just nonsense to the ceiling, why this "exhibition"? I do not know how this absurdity can be helped, probably the only sensible solution is to close. In my opinion, all the enthusiastic comments about this place were written by people who were there with their eyes closed and a clothespin on their nose.
Complete profanity. The museum is located in an apartment building on the fourth floor (under the roof), and is a cat dormitory. Predators, mostly mongrel, roam the rooms, hung with children's drawings with cats (and mostly lie, apparently under sedation). There's nothing else interesting there. If the first-grader really likes it. There's no point in going
Nothing unusual, but it perfectly complements a walk through the center with pleasant emotions: pet the seals and look at funny and funny drawings. Each mustachioed man has his own story. Two aged seals were rescued from euthanasia. The institution is looking for employees. Thank you so much for your kindness.
It's great that there is a place in Minsk where you can "pet cats" and play. The museum has everything for a comfortable stay, a cafe with tea, coffee and water, a toilet, even a children's area where children can draw a cat and this picture will be hung on the wall. It's a great idea. The only thing the star was removed for was an acrid unpleasant smell. The kittens are all wonderful and can even be taken home!!
On the one hand, it is a very cool place with cute animals, almost everyone gives themselves a pat, even there is a small dog that greets everyone. Plus the opportunity to pick up a cat from there and thereby help the animal.
On the other hand, the smell, hygiene, and in summer the lack of air conditioning, animal fatigue. It is clear that they do not really like such abundant attention, especially from children.
Such places have the right to live, but I don't think we should be allowed to interact so actively with these animals.
We read about the museum, got interested, and went on arrival. I expected more of a museum or a Japanese-style cat cafe. In fact, it's a shelter with cats, set up in a long, cramped apartment with a narrow hallway)
There are two chips: the cats themselves, we saw 5-6 pieces and children's drawings with cats from different cities, which are hung from floor to ceiling. This is really the highlight of the interior.
They come here with small children, and cats tactfully try to get away from toddlers, especially from loud ones. Cats are polite, tactile, well-groomed.
The price tag of the visit is 600 rubles in Russian, almost like in the Tretyakov Gallery (700))).
Cats, of course, are cute, but the place is for an amateur. Immediately upon entering the nose, it gives off the smell of trays. There is a separate room where you can brew tea bags. There is a room where you can draw. I don't deny that animal welfare initiatives need to be supported, but there are probably better ways.
I was there with my husband and son. When I entered the house, I realized that I felt sick 🤢
My husband and son had a great time (they cuddled the furry ones for 1.5 hours), and I had a great time in the neighboring hookah. 👳🏼♀️
I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a little time apart.
I don't recommend it. An old shabby apartment with several cats. It really stinks of cat urine. There are few cats (we saw 5 of them). This museum collects stray animals and you can take anyone there for free, but you can't call it a museum. It's more like a cat shelter. Yes, thank you to the owner for taking care of the cats, feeding and keeping them, but if you want to see something worthwhile, you are not here. If you can help and take a cat or leave money for food, come in. The ticket is 20 Belarusian rubles (approximately 600 Russian rubles).
The employees' eyes are burning. If you are also madly in love with cats and you want to give money for the development of the shelter, then you are here. You can pick up any cat you like. It doesn't look like a museum, it's a contact cafe. Yes, the smell is present.
It's a very good idea. But, unfortunately, not a very good implementation. The smell is deadly. I have a cat, my parents have three. I've been to the anti-cafe with animals many times, but something went wrong here. After five minutes, I wanted to escape to the fresh air. Incense sticks are burning, but they only make things harder. A more thorough cleaning with a steam generator and special tools is needed.
Perhaps for this reason, cats are "stoned". Completely indifferent. But cats will always run away from where they don't like to be, so it's still good for them there.
About the good things. Cool drawings, they should be decorated with frames or thicker paper, so that it looks not like waste paper, but a gallery. And leave only those that really deserve attention. And there are cool ones there)
Seals - no comments here, I really wanted to pick up a delicate black mini lady, gracefully reclining right "at the checkout." It is a pity that my cat will not understand such a gift from Minsk.
I wish the museum to resolve the issue of fragrance. And there will be a cool tourist place with a noble basic history of finding owners for kittens.
A pleasant place. You can pet cats, drink tea, buy souvenirs, and draw. There are a lot of cats, all different: some playful, some affectionate. There are several rooms with sofas and tables. The only negative is the distinct, not the most pleasant smell of cats. But, given their number, this is not surprising. The staff is very polite. The impression remained good
The only wish is for the city authorities to cover up this horror faster. It is unclear where the local sanitation station is looking. Terrible unsanitary conditions, the smell of urine, unkempt animals. The whole "museum" is just a cluttered apartment, it's better to transfer the ticket price (by the way, 20 rubles per person) to a real animal shelter, rather than give it to the owners of the scam, who don't even want to do the cleaning.
People, read reviews before visiting, don't become victims of scams!
Visited on July 11, 2024. A wonderful place! Cute pot-bellied kittens who are being treated and sterilized, lots of cute feline pieces and children's drawings. In the reviews, everyone was scared by the smell, but I almost didn't feel it. Windows are open everywhere, fans are working, the seals are clean and well-groomed. They were lazy and graceful from the heat. I will recommend this place to all my friends 👍👍👍
Everything is not bad, and the staff are cute, and pleasant, and the cats are wonderful paws!!!! 🐱😺🐈
BUT there are two disadvantages 😾 one is the smell, it's just terrible and can be heard from the first floor of the building 😖 and the second is not a small price 🤑 for 1 hour of arrival, although it was much better paid earlier and even if it was a whole day, but it's expensive for an hour, as for me.... I wish the director to reconsider the option of visiting at least for 3 hours, the child has just relaxed and is already on the way out!!!! 😳
We were there today with our family. 42p entrance (2 adults, 1 child). It would be all right, but there is a minus. 1 - cats don't even approach people, most of them are in a closed room, sleeping or lying down. It's understandable, there are enough people there, but still imagined it a little differently. 2. 42 rubles per hour of stay is expensive, there is not much to do there. To look at children's drawings and look through the barrier at cats for 42p is not quite, of course. I really hope that the money will go to charity. 3. It's a smell. As all the commentators write, you need to be prepared, but that's exactly what I wasn't ready for, it's very hard to be there for more than 10 minutes. As a matter of fact, after 10 minutes we left there..
In November 2023, we visited the Museum of the cat). Very warm atmosphere: many visitors with children. There are pet cats everywhere, photos, children's drawings, cat figurines (unfortunately they do not sell). Nice interior. Wonderful volunteer girls. If we were locals, we would definitely take one pet into the family.
Unfortunately, the museum exists only on donations. The administration of the city of Minsk could consider the possibility of at least not taking money for the rent of the premises. We need to help our younger brothers who are in a difficult life situation: many pets are disabled.
A place where there is an opportunity to spend leisure time in the company of a large number of cats and cats without limitation of time. There is a large space, there is an opportunity to drink tea and coffee. Time flies by unnoticed in the company of moustaches. A good place to visit with children. Cats and cats are different, but many are very affectionate.
I give 5 stars, but only for the idea and the seals…
The idea is amazing - that you can come and pick up a cat, while helping others, either by bringing something with you or buying some souvenir on the spot and investing in this way.
But as just a visit, I can't say that the impression was on top ... Yes, we drew our seals (by the way, it's very cool that there are drawings everywhere, adds atmosphere), you could treat yourself to cookies, pet the seals, but the smell.... I understand that this is a natural process and it is difficult to get rid of it, but unfortunately it is impossible to stay indoors for a long time…
I love cats, cats are great. It's a bit of an unpleasant smell, but it's justified. It's nice to see that the cats are being looked after and cared for. The staff is pleasant, they handle everyone's hands.
We were with our granddaughter in December.I liked it, you can pet the seals, they are well-mannered and non-aggressive.We drew, looked at posts and pictures with the image of kittens.
The staff is friendly and very friendly, a young girl (unfortunately I don't remember her name) gave us a full tour, called the names of all the cats and their habits. The ticket is not that expensive (20 rubles), but we all understand that it goes to provide seals. The impressions of this place cannot be described in words. There is only warmth and comfort in the soul. Thank you for creating such a cozy place <3
We visited with my wife and daughter, paid 42p. (15p adult ticket, 12p for children), now I'll tell you what, I hope this money goes to feed and service cats. There are about 10 cats in this house, at first glance (it's hard to count because most are hiding), one small dog. Cats are tortured, some are very aggressive, almost all sleep, do not play, and it's understandable with so many visitors. The smell killed the most in this house. It's not even a smell - it's a stink, unbearable. The hour you pay for is impossible to be here, we stayed for a maximum of 20 minutes. It is not clear whether this is such an unfortunate choice of aroma sticks, which are burned there on every corner, or whether this is improper cat care. The impressions were extremely negative, it's a pity for these cats, of course it's better than on the street, but still...
You probably need to love cats very much to put 5 stars. It is a very kind, cozy, beautiful place, but the smell spoils everything. Inside, it is clean, organized, friendly, the smell is being tried to disguise with incense sticks, the aroma of which is mixed with feline. The children were delighted to communicate with the shaggy ones, but going there, be prepared
The very idea of creating such a shelter for seals is of course wonderful that you can come to watch, feed and play with the seals, But!!!!
The room is poorly ventilated, it stinks, but most of all we were horrified by the picture of sluggish cats who are stuffed with some kind of sedatives, sleeping a deep sleep that is not awakened. Foam from the mouth and fallen tongues on the gun. Museum staff say that the seals have a quiet hour. Of the 19 seals, only 2 are active, the rest lie awake and sleep deeply.
To be honest, we are even somewhat disappointed. And they left with sadness in their hearts.
