A hotel that you want to return to.
The rooms are clean and spacious, all with ocean views and huge terraces.
The staff is so friendly, helpful and hospitable that they seem to have come to stay with relatives.
The territory is small, but comfortable. Very clean. There are always free sun beds, security guards keep order, so you don't have to worry about the safety of things at all.
The beach is beautiful - calm, warm, clean ocean and huge turtles swim nearby, which can be fed. Life hack turtle food, which is sold locally for 5 bucks, grows 100 meters to the left, where the corals are at the entrance to the water.
If you walk another 500 meters to the left, you can find safe waves that are a pleasure to ride and they are safe. In other places, he'll drag you away.
The food in the hotel is suitable for any, even the most demanding taste.
We took breakfasts and dinners, but for lunch we went to the fish market. If you leave the hotel, it's about a kilometer to the left. Take a tuk tuk (they will take you for 500 rupees, wait and bring you back to the hotel).
Seafood is the freshest, cheapest, and they are butchered and cooked in front of you.
I've never been poisoned))) not at the hotel, not at the market.
Excursions can be safely taken from Misha, he himself comes to the beach (that's how he introduces himself) and does not overpay the travel agency of the sending company.
The guides are Russian-speaking. Everything went OK.
Getting alcohol at the hotel is very expensive. The store is within walking distance, where everything is much cheaper. It's easy to find it - if you go out through the gate of the seafood restaurant located on the territory of the hotel, you will run into it;)
I recommend the local rum and Lion beer.
In the same direction, next to the alcohol, delicious gyros are prepared - take it safely.

I liked everything very much in 2024.
there were 10 days. The most important advantage is the transport accessibility and good location of the hotel, you can go on excursions and near the Galle Fort in a 30-minute tuk-tuk ride. The hotel washes the ocean in a circle for almost (9 hours). Palm squirrels run around the territory, monitor lizards walk, do not touch people, they are afraid of themselves, crabs, etc. Small sharks swim nearby in the reefs. You can swim and feed the turtles. In general, we were satisfied. The only thing is to take either breakfast + go to different places. Or the whole thing is included. We are having a rest with our spouse at the moment! I recommend the hotel 100%!!! The cuisine is above all praise: a varied menu, chefs have a separate respect!!! Everything is brought to taste, fresh!!! Restaurant service for a solid 5 !!! The rooms are cleaned every day, tea, coffee, water are added, linen and towels are changed! The territory is on fire, they will help you install a sunbed, make a soft mattress and give you towels! The ocean is power, beauty and wealth! I've never seen anything like it! We rested at the HIKKA TRANZ BY CINNAMON 4* hotel from October 7 to October 14.
We liked the hotel. The rooms are spacious, the view is awesome, we lived in room 220. The balcony is gorgeous, with a sofa, table, chairs. There are hangers in the closets, a safe, there is enough of everything, the beds are comfortable, there are many light bulbs for lighting. The kettle, cups, tea and coffee were replenished every day as needed, and water in glass bottles was also replenished. The air conditioner worked well, there is also an air dryer, but it makes a lot of noise, sometimes it was turned off. Our connector was only in one outlet, we took an adapter with us, we did not give adapters at the reception, I advise you to take your own. The plumbing worked well, shampoo, shower gel, shaving kit, shower caps – everything was there. When cleaning, they made different compositions of towels with flowers.
The territory of the hotel is small, but pleasant. Chipmunks and monitor lizards are running around the territory. Crows attacked very strongly, they fly up to the left things, once they even got into a bag, pulled out a wallet, a crow flew away in its beak with a purse, sat down on a tree and pecked at the wallet. They chased crows all over the hotel. The main thing is not to leave anything out of the food, when we went swimming, we covered things with towels. But the hotel staff are also great, they run around and cover the left things themselves, they can take your things away during the rain, they try for you.
The beach is small, but you can swim. There were no huge waves, we swam every day, we really liked jumping on the waves on an inflatable circle, because it's not going to work to swim. The approach is good, sometimes pebbles and shells were washed, but it was tolerable to pass them quickly, aquashoos were not needed, although they took them with them. Turtles swam, sometimes they swam directly to the main beach where people swim, and not to the reef. It wasn't very comfortable. On the reef itself, Sasha, a volunteer employee of the hotel, showed small reef sharks, sea urchins, turtles, and everyone was fed. If you want to retire, you need to go somewhere, because there is surfing on the beach, and turtles, and crowds of Lankans sometimes)
Our meals were "all inclusive" and we never regretted it. A good buffet, you could choose European food, there are icons for spicy foods. The breakfasts are also very good, there was always an omelette and fried eggs in a flatbread, a lot of pastries, fried bacon, muesli in yogurt in small serving jars, smoothies in glasses, 4 different types of juice for breakfast (from packages), vegetables, fruits. Freshly squeezed for an additional fee. The fruits were passion fruit, papaya, guava, red and yellow watermelon, pineapples. The disadvantage that we noted is that you can't pour yourself tea or coffee for breakfast, you need to wait for the waiter and order, sometimes for a long time.
For lunch and dinner there were various soups, even mashed potatoes, pizza, good desserts, seafood, fish, shrimp in batter, crabs, squid. There is a lot of local food, but we are not fans of such cuisine, but you can try it. I didn't really like cucumbers, tomatoes and cabbage were normal. From drinks: soda – fanta cola sprite, pineapple juices, lemon, papaya and something else like, there were no orange and apple typical for us. Water, because we had everything included, we took from bottles, and the rest are poured from a jug, or you can buy, at the exit of the restaurant, a bottle of water in glass costs 100 rupees.
There are very good snacks in the bars during the day, French fries, burgers, tuna and mozzarella sandwiches, vegetable rolls, salads (3 types) near the pool (I attach the menu in the photo). The all-inclusive cocktail list is small but delicious, we liked the cocktails and they do very well. It is convenient that in the evening, when the bar is open from 22:00 to 00:00, you can also take the same snacks if you returned late or did not eat enough for dinner).
Plus, it's not delicious everywhere, and the prices are not so affordable, you buy one dish – but it turns out not to be very good. The buffet is simpler in this regard. Alcohol in the store is expensive, more expensive than in Russia. In the hotel bar, 1 cocktail on average costs around 2500-3000 rupees, snacks 2000-3000 rupees, so if you eat a lot and plan to drink a lot – everything is included perfectly!
We think we were lucky with the weather, because it rained once in the afternoon during the week, but this did not prevent us from swimming in a warm pool, it was even great, because we usually swam in the ocean. And one more time it rained all day, but that day we went on an excursion. The hotel provides very large, good umbrellas, so you don't have to take them with you.
The hotel is gorgeous, Sri Lanka is good, but I want to return to the season, get more sunshine. It was warm, but mostly cloudy.

Definitely a good hotel. They are cleaned every day, the territory is large and well maintained. Friendly staff, mini shows in the evenings. The food is great, there is no menu for kids, but older children like me always had something to eat. There are a lot of animals, monitor lizards, squirrels, some exotic birds. Great, only the most positive impressions. With great gratitude, it's a pity that it's time to fly away.

A good hotel for Sri Lanka
The ocean is filled with turtles , and baby turtles are being released nearby . Parrots in the evenings, crows , chipmunks , monitor lizards in the afternoon , monkeys in the cafe . The hotel is clean, the territory is well maintained. It 's a little late for a set of brushes, there are no towels, one large one , no slippers , but if you ask for all this, they bring it . Eating with fluctuations is not very good , but there is always something to eat , fruits are always different , especially for breakfast . Relaxing with children makes everyone happy. The location of the hotel is good, everything is nearby. There are seafood and Italian restaurants on site, and the prices are reasonable, the same as in typical restaurants nearby. We liked the hotel. The most important thing is that good staff is everywhere and security and reception and maids and in the restaurant ., they react quickly, friendly and smiling . In general, we are in love with this skeleton. We are coming for the second time, I think we will come back again and again.

This is the third time we have come to this hotel, I really like it! A beautiful area adjacent to the beach, to which sea turtles swim and tourists feed them with algae. Palm squirrels run around the lawns and monitor lizards walk. The entire territory of the hotel is guarded, only hotel residents are allowed in, no one else can enter from the beach. It is very convenient - you can safely leave things on the sunbed, no one will take them. I really like the local population: the Lankans are friendly, not intrusive, when buying in shops, markets you can always get a discount, they have a desire to communicate with tourists and learn Russian, they know a few words. In restaurants, the menu is duplicated in Russian. The hotel staff is always ready to help, they are greeted with a smile and a greeting. All rooms at this hotel overlook the ocean and have a large terrace with a sofa, table and chairs. There is an air drying device in the room, we dried things on it, very convenient! The restaurant is large, there are different eating areas: an outdoor terrace overlooking the raging ocean (we loved to sit there), an indoor part with split systems and a terrace in front of the pool. We were completely satisfied with the food, sometimes they gave us shrimp, squid, there was always fish too. When they wanted more seafood, they went to local restaurants. I really liked the rest! I want to come back to Sri Lanka again and again!

In general, the rest in Sri Lanka was very much surprised, I want to come back again. The staff's efforts to provide great service are very impressive. They may not always succeed, but it is clear that they are sincerely trying. In my opinion, the locals speak Russian better than English, I recommend buying a local SIM card so that you can use an interpreter or arrange a meeting and a trip with the drivers. Bargain! It didn't seem enough for us for 10 days, take 14 days. There are no problems with eating outside at all. Look where there are more people sitting, so they cook delicious food there. Visit the red lobster restaurant, it is not far from the hotel, there are very tasty seafood, there is an Appetite restaurant opposite the hotel, they also cook delicious food. The portions are large, we took one serving for 2 people. Change money in jewelry shops, there are a lot of them, just see who offers the best course. There are places where discos take place, they are within walking distance. As a rule, they take place from Thursday to Sunday and, moreover, one institution is open one evening and another evening, this is some kind of local arrangement. In general, this holiday is suitable for those who want a relaxing holiday and those who want to take a walk. I recommend it!!!

The hotel justifies its reservation. Not new, but clean. The room is cleaned well (our room is 104), there is always enough water, coffee, tea, clean towels and bathroom accessories. Cleanly!
There is a lot of food in the main restaurant, but it is monotonous. You can choose, but for people who do not eat spicy food, the number of dishes decreases dramatically. Very tasty vanilla ice cream. A couple of days ago there was a themed dinner- delicious.
According to the main bar, Viray prepares the best cocktails. High-quality and delicious. Another bartender openly prepares water. It was not possible for Cinderella to drink, they were waiting for the next day, when Viray would come.
The territory of the hotel is very well maintained - they constantly water, work with lawns, etc. It is clear that they care. Perhaps the greenest and most pleasant area, judging by what I saw, walking along the coast and looking at the territory of other hotels. The pool is always clean. Chipmunks are running around, playing catch-up. We saw a monitor lizard once.
The beach is pleasant, the entrance for swimming is small, but quiet and smooth - without waves. There are turtles nearby, you can buy algae from the locals and feed them. Sometimes they swim by themselves in a place for communal bathing. There is a great view of the ocean in front of the hotel. All rooms have ocean views. Lovely verandas with a sofa. In general, the impression of the hotel is very pleasant! All the nuances are covered by the goodwill of the hotel and its staff! I recommend 100%

This hotel was chosen after a long search and review of reviews. The location of the hotel is 5+. On the one hand, a place where turtles swim, on the other, a beach with calm water, almost without waves. I recommend this hotel for that alone. Breakfast is normal, eggs, bacon, coconut milk tortillas, sweets, fruits, tea, coffee, many varieties of curry-by the way, the most delicious thing here is the local food, not the one that they are trying to remake for tourists! There are mega markets-but sooooo little choice! If you live in your villa, you can buy eggs, meat, etc.
The place is cool, when you go out, the turtles swim by, there are places with huge waves, and there is a place for a surfer! Travel, watch! I want to thank the guys separately, they helped with the safe and water)))If something went wrong, do not hesitate to contact us, the issue will be resolved quickly and clearly! There is a gorgeous seafood market for every taste and color, they will cook right there, you can stay there to eat, but we took you to the room, there is also a market with fruits and vegetables! We rested at the hotel at the end of October 2024 according to the breakfast-dinner system. The weather was different - for the first 4 days it rained almost all day, but then it cleared up, which is not surprising. The season officially starts in November.
I really liked the hotel. The feature of the hotel is its excellent location - on the ocean. All rooms without exception have ocean views. At the same time, unlike most hotels in Sri Lanka, you can swim here due to the presence of a lagoon or breakwater. Also, large turtles swim to the shore, which can be fed with grass (it grows near the shore if you walk along the shore to the left to the next hotel).
The beaches in Sri Lanka are public, so if you want, you can go swimming wherever you want and where the waves allow. It is very convenient to lie on a sunbed in a protected area, and when you want to go swimming anywhere.
Funny chipmunks are running around the territory. They're all being fed. There is also a small monitor lizard.
There are many cafes nearby. If you leave the hotel and go left to the bus station 20-30 minutes on foot and another 20 meters further, there will be a small indoor market where you can buy local fruits. Mangoes are from 400 to 1700 local money.
If you walk to the right, then in 5-10 minutes there will be a shopping center opposite another hotel.
Room: The rooms in the hotel are very spacious, there is a large balcony. But there may be mold in the corners. This is a feature of the island's humid climate. There is an air dryer in the rooms. There is a kettle, a refrigerator, a safe, no iron, there is tea and coffee water. In the bathroom there is a hairdryer, shampoo, soap, shower gel, body cream.
Wi-fi is also available and works well throughout the territory.
At the reception, in exchange for the room key, they will give you an umbrella for temporary use.
It is better to take your own adapter for a local outlet. Although our craftsmen have already made Euro holes almost everywhere))

Food: the food is good enough. For a 4* hotel, it's generally very cool. Of course, it is not as diverse as in Turkey at 5*, but there is a little bit of everything: chicken, beef (very tough), pork (well, fine), fish (good), shrimp are delicious, once there was a good lamb, two types of cheese, good pastries - cakes, donuts, rolls, ice cream in the evening, in the morning, sausages, sausage, bacon, eggs in any form, chicken curry and fish curry are always available for breakfast and dinner. Any side dishes: rice, potatoes, pasta, steamed vegetables, steamed vegetables, some cereals like peas. Almost everything is not sharp. There are plenty of sauces for spice lovers and locals.
There are few fresh vegetables. Lettuce leaves, greenish tomatoes, carrots.
In the morning there are pancakes, waffles, crisps with milk, various yogurts.
There are also 3 types of juices in the morning: coconut, freshly squeezed mango and some other apple juice from the package. You can ask for free tea, coffee, including cappuccino.
In the evening, the only free drinks are a glass of water.
Of the fruits there is a good pineapple, very ripe delicious papaya, sour but delicious passion fruit, fresh watermelon and some other local unripe fruits.
Excursions: you need to leave for almost all interesting excursions at 4-5 am. We took it from the tour operator, but someone went from the locals on the street. It turns out to be much cheaper.
Currency exchange: everyone is advised to change at the airport. There is the most profitable course. But you definitely need to keep the receipt, without it they will not change the money back.
Tea: tea can be bought in shops or a shopping center nearby. Or go to the tea factory with a guided tour. The prices in the shops nearby are lower than if you go on an excursion and buy tea somewhere there.
Minuses:
- a huge number of parrots and crows spend the night in the palm trees at the hotel. At 5 a.m., they fly off somewhere with the sound of the loudest alarm. And in the evening at 6 they arrive back and also scream wildly for about an hour. Everything is quiet during the day. But it seems to be a feature of the island as a whole
- there is nowhere to walk near the hotel for my taste. Narrow sidewalks, cars, tuk-tuks, shabby houses. In general, Asia is Asia. But there is not much garbage. This is still not classic India, but Sri Lanka)
- a minus for some and a plus for others: there is no animation at all in the hotel and there is nothing for children. But maybe that's why there are very few children in the hotel as a whole.

Excellent hotel, the best impressions: location, the only normal beach in the whole area (but considering that the entrance to the hotel is guarded, sun beds are obtained, a few meters from the beach, so people do not interfere), breakfast with a large selection of dishes, beautiful as its own territory on advertising. A separate feature is the feeding place for large turtles opposite the exit to the beach. Funny chipmunks and an iguana are included.
Cons: only one girl at the reception knows Russian, crows scream in the evening so that their ears are stuck, no one plays volleyball if there is a great playground.

A vacation in November, as it seemed to me before, is still a pleasure... When bad weather is raging in Russia, and it's not clear whether it's late autumn or early winter, the eyes turn somewhere to the south, towards the equator, where eternal summer is... Earlier, reading reviews about Sri Lanka, I was confused by tourists' discontent about the scarcity of food, the lack of civilized hotels and more or less acceptable service... Once on vacation, I didn't want to wring my hands and look up at the sky in mute reproach: why was I being punished by having to spend my vacation days in some shack?.. But, oddly enough, when I booked a vacation at Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon 4*, Superior Ocean Vista, Full Board, I fully enjoyed the few days of vacation that I managed to extort from my superiors... So, in the period from 11/19/2024 to 11/29/2024, I was lucky enough to have a rest in this hotel...By the way, it's worth saying that the agent of the Sun for Fun campaign was engaged in the armor - there are no complaints, everything worked like clockwork... The transfer was organized by the staff of the arrival campaign with dignity - signs, guides who speak good Russian, cars... Moving in a minivan with 6 passengers was without incident, the journey took a little less than an hour and a half, air conditioning in the car, comfortable seats, a good view from the window - what else is needed... We arrived at the hotel around 3 p.m., and were greeted by friendly staff, a welcome drink, and chilled wet towels to blot our faces and hands... After the formalities at the reception, we were checked into the room... The suitcases were delivered to the room by a porter and, of course, he expected a reward, here it is a couple of hundred rupees, well, or a dollar (which is about 300 rupees)... Yes! The room, I must say, is grandiose: spacious, bright, king-size bed for two + a free-standing sofa, where an adult can perfectly fit; air conditioning, a large wardrobe with a bunch of hangers, a free safe, a TV with the possibility of watching Russian channels we are familiar with online for free, an ironing board with an iron firmly embedded in it), large open loggia overlooking the ocean, comfortable upholstered sofa on the loggia, + table and chairs in the same place... In the room, daily replenished bottled water, tea bags, coffee, cream, sugar. There is a refrigerator... The bathroom has a rain shower, an all-bathroom mirror, a toilet bowl with the possibility of using it as a bidet, a hair dryer, individual packages of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a razor outlet... Adapters for electrical appliances are required everywhere... Every bedside table has USB ports for charging phones, which is very convenient... Lots of switches - you can turn off the lights at the exit of the room, you can lie on the bed... There was a dehumidifier in the room... The Internet is stable and unlimited throughout the hotel, which is a huge plus! Room cleaning is daily, towels are changed daily, bed linen is changed every three to four days... Tips are welcome. We lived on the fourth floor, and Rasun, a young Lankan who took a conscientious approach to his duties, often sculpted the local fauna out of towels, did the cleaning... His boss, Kapila, who knows Russian well, has repeatedly given valuable advice on how to organize your time... In general, Sri Lankans are friendly, open, and positive... I want to come back to such places again and again, the coziness and comfort that all employees create are worth a lot!
So, the room turned out to be excellent (by the way, the renovation year of the hotel is 2021), so I didn't have to worry about everyday problems - it's already good...
The hotel itself is very well located, on a small bend, so there are a couple of small backwaters with no large waves, which allows you to swim freely in the ocean without fear of being swept away by the current into the open ocean, besides, sea turtles swim to this backwater, there is an opportunity to feed them with algae, buying them for a nominal fee from local or by collecting the algae a little further away by yourself... In addition, the turtle habitat is included in Hikkaduwa guidebooks and you can often see tourists from other hotels who come specifically to this attraction... He's right next to you, 50 meters away). The hotel's territory is fenced off, security guards are on duty at the exits, and the possibility of unauthorized entry is practically minimized... There are a lot of palm squirrels and a couple of monitor lizards on site... At about six in the morning and at six in the evening, a bird chatter of parrots and crows awaits you... Of the 10 days we spent at the hotel, there were a couple of rainy days, and even then it was raining intermittently, so there was plenty of time to sunbathe...It seemed that Sri Lanka would be as stifling and humid as the whole of Asia, but no, +28+30 felt comfortable, as if somewhere in central Russia... There are plenty of sun beds with mattresses and umbrellas on site... Beach towels are available daily at the pool bar... Along the coastline, to the right of the hotel, to the left, there are a lot of cafes with a varied menu... Since we didn't want to bother with food, we took an all-inclusive package and didn't lose...
At the entrance to the restaurant, we were greeted by Renuka, a sweet young girl with a radiant Mona Lisa smile, always ready to exchange a few phrases, recommend interesting dishes or suggest interesting locations near the hotel... The catering at the hotel is a buffet...
For breakfast there are eggs in any form, yoghurts, pastries, pancakes, but no butter, more like a spread; cheese, sausages (far from what we are used to), rice porridge or sorghum (I'm not sure))), coffee, tea by ordering through a waiter at any meal for free, fruit drinks packaged (freshly squeezed for a fee)... Lunch is always a couple of soups, a variety of vegetable side dishes, and sliced vegetables will help you assemble your salad, various legumes, pork or beef (unfortunately, they can't cook meat), poultry, seafood, sweets, ice cream, and fruits... Dinner is almost the same as lunch... with minor variations... There are local dishes, but they are quite specific: spicy or a lot of unusual spices, a lot of legumes... The locals have a greater preference for vegetables in their diet than for meat and fish... The restaurant has several dining areas - there is an outdoor terrace overlooking the ocean, and you are sitting 50 meters from the ocean waves! There is a room with a working air conditioner, there is an outdoor terrace under a canopy next to the hotel pool ...
However, if everything went perfectly, it would be akin to a dream... But as you know, in every barrel of honey, there is always a place for a fly in the ointment... Before the group transfer to the airport, during the check-in, it turned out that we had unpaid bills from the pool bar, despite the fact that we had never used it... But I must say that the hotel administration approached this issue with tact and did not shake the rights by canceling the bill. Although, as a hotel guest, I still have questions.: That you can just use the services of a bar like that, and then just say that, for example, I'm from room so-and-so? But either the guest's tongue was already slurring, or the bartender did not hear the correct room number of the guest... Why not print an individual barcode on a guest's arrival at the hotel, putting a tag on each one, which can be easily read in the right places, even in a bar, even in a restaurant, even at a massage, and then such ridiculous misunderstandings simply cannot happen... In general, the hotel is decent, it allows you to relax and enjoy your vacation... I want to come back to such places again and again...

The restaurant is on a good level. I was particularly pleased to stand out in the Asoka restaurant. He's probably the head waiter and always helped us solve our queries quickly. We also celebrated a birthday here and it was very nice to be congratulated in the restaurant. By the way, water and tea in the restaurant are free for everyone, but sometimes I would like them to be taken out a little faster. We took half board and were satisfied, because we often went to Crab Snack for lunch. You can eat seafood there for 4-5 thousand rupees.
Among the cleaning staff, we liked Dilhara (he cleaned very well and also made a lot of animals out of towels), Ishan and Madvshanka. Sometimes, however, after cleaning, they did not always give the whole set of clean towels.
If there were any questions, the hotels responded as quickly as possible. Most of the questions were about the dehumidifier. We changed it several times, but then it didn't work, then they put a new one, but they forgot to connect the drain pipe, then it made a lot of noise. As a result, they put it on a slipper, set 50% and earned more or less quietly.
There are many type A USB sockets in the room. There are enough charging cords for charging phones, as well as English sockets, each with a switch.
I didn't like the refrigerator at all. It is better not to use it at all.
There is also a ladder (also greetings from the old Englishwoman) and after a shower, water is often on the floor in the entire bathroom.
All the guys worked perfectly on the beach. Mattresses and towels were always brought quickly. They lay everything themselves and open umbrellas.
In August, because of the waves and the sandy beach, the water is cloudy, but warm. But on the left side you can walk along the rocks and observe corals and many beautiful fish. There are recesses of the "bath" and you can carefully look at the fish in a mask. Actually, August is not the season here, but it rains only in the morning until 9 a.m. and the main moment of the off-season is strong waves.
There are locals on the public beach who sell everything more expensive and not always of high quality. And they also go there and persuade those who wear masks to go to the beach nearby to see the fish (10 minutes on foot - Hikkaduwa beach). Keep in mind that they will then beg for money from you under the guise of tickets. Don't rush into shopping at all. Take a look around and pause first.
Of the cons, the food is peculiar. The main dishes are rich. It is not sharp to look for). But there is a cook who makes pasta to order. Vegetables, cheese and sausage are very small portions. Not everyone liked fruits either. But they have pastries for 5 and always have delicious fish and seafood.
Another disadvantage is that there are really a lot of crows on the territory and their cries are slightly annoying.
But overall, it's a great place! We really liked it. All minor issues are resolved quickly. This hotel fully deserves all its 4 stars, the beach is good, and the views and fauna here are a solid five. This is much better than 4 or even 5 in Turkey!

I thought about the rating for a long time: between 4 and 5. We liked the rest.
Pros: the bay is great, you can swim; desserts are tastier than many places; there are chipmunks, turtles; the balcony and the view from the room are super; the solution to issues at the hotel is normal (but they may not understand even in English the first time); they ordered dry cleaning at the hotel (budget and good for quick washing / drying, but ingrained the stains will not be washed off - from the same crows); there are shops nearby, transport is close to Galle, and to Colombo as a whole is not far along the toll road.
Cons: a lot of crows (they scream, leave waste products, can bite in the head); a small variety of dishes for main meals (there is practically no seafood, fish is not every time and only one kind of local - it's sad; we were upset by the food from the part - sometimes the bar slept to take burgers for a snack in the afternoon: they are excellent, French fries too; the assortment is almost the same in the main restaurant - there will be nothing to choose in 1.5-2 weeks); few fruits (mango only for breakfast, not every day and some trimmings; pineapple tasteless; only papaya pleased, but this is not enough for 4*); everything included is very selective - a lot of drinks were not included, even coffee in the afternoon, pinocollada or mojito.
For Sri Lanka, as we understand it, this is a very good level. In general, we recommend it, if we take into account the points above.

I don't understand who writes positive reviews to this hotel.
In order:
1. The hotel itself is very dark, gloomy, it seems that you are in the Savdepovsky old sanatorium. The rooms are dead, in need of major repairs, everything creaks, wobbles, is covered with either plaque or rust. The bed linen is stained, old, with holes.
2. There was no cleaning, although they tipped $ 2-5 every day, this did not change the situation. To complement the bathroom accessories: the same cotton swabs-no, you haven't heard.
3. The staff allowed themselves to touch personal belongings, that is, to take out a laptop, notepad, wallet and put it on the table-this is normal.
4. The loss of money from the bag in the room. I didn't swear, because I didn't want to raise my nerves.
5. They put the clothes in the laundry, returned them as if they had just rinsed them in water, dirty. At the reception, they took money for this service, they did not offer to wash it (perhaps because we were checking out the next morning), or maybe this is the norm for them, so wash it.
6. The reception is not aware of the transfers of its guests. On the penultimate day, I came up twice, asked what time the transfer was, the answer was: come later. Offer to wake up in the morning-no), you have not heard of such a service.
7. The Swedish line. That's horrible. If you are with a child, then there will be nothing to feed him. Everything is sharp. And today the spaghetti is not spicy, and tomorrow they are spicy, the sauce is not spicy, and tomorrow Chili peppers were cut into it. And there are no marks on the plates about acute. Every day is like roulette, lucky or not. Most of the food is labeled "spicy", which significantly reduces the choice. The Swede is poor, there is no variety. And in plates of a couple of pieces, they are in no hurry to report. If you come at the end, then half of the plates are empty. Once on Saturday, the Swede was extended towards the street, perhaps the situation is different in the season, but I would not risk coming here again.
8. Staff. The chef walks around the hall, getting to know each other, asks if he liked it or not. She commented on the sharpness of the dishes and empty plates: come earlier, not at the end. At dinner, tobasco was brought separately-I didn't appreciate the joke.
Bartenders, waiters are as intrusive as possible, smiling, but they do not know the service from the word at all. Two glasses of wine were brought: I didn't have time to finish one - the waiter jumped up, poured the unfinished into the second and took the empty one away. I've never seen this before.
9. The beach near the hotel is public, there they will constantly approach you and offer you something: excursions, coconuts, algae for turtles, clothes ... The place for swimming is small, it is fenced with buoys, the rest of the beach is with strong waves.
10. Of the advantages: there were few people, there were a lot of sun beds, you can swim in the pool safely, the depth is not great, it's not scary for a child.
11. Special thanks to the guards, they are cool there: humane, not intrusive, prompt, communicate, make sure that no outsider from the beach enters the hotel. I really liked them.

I am currently vacationing at this hotel. I chose the hotel based on reviews. I want to share my impressions. They settled in quickly. The room is on the 4th floor. All rooms have ocean views and gorgeous terraces. On which, in addition to the standard table and 2 chairs, there is a comfortable couch. This is of course very cool. The linen and towels are snow-white, there are a lot of light bulbs in the room and enough electric lighting, there is sufficient water pressure in the bathroom and there are no interruptions. Cosmetics have everything you need and are of good quality. There is no toothpaste, brushes, washcloths, slippers and bathrobes. The mattresses and pillows are comfortable. The air conditioner and dehumidifier work perfectly. There is a kettle in the room. Tea, coffee, Sugar and cream are replenished daily. Plus two 0.5 bottles of water are left monthly. There is a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. In general, the room is quite decent. The closet is really small, but as experience has shown, elegant clothes are not needed here at all. I was ready for this, so I took only beach clothes and shoes. The beach is really the best in the area, thanks to the lagoon, the waves are a short distance away and you can swim a little. But the water is more often muddy. Tourists come to our beach from all over the world. At the same time, there is no crowd and there is enough space for everyone. The reef is dead. It is not true that they write that there is a good reef here. Of course there are fish, but very few. Every day, at high tide, small sharks swim in. It's fun to watch them. There are also turtles, as many write. The water is mostly cloudy .In addition, there is a strong undercurrent. You can swim, but you definitely won't be able to swim serenely. But I found pleasure in something else. The Indian Ocean is beautiful. You can admire his power and authority for hours. The sun beds in the hotel are located in close proximity to the beach, but independently from the common area. This is an absolute plus. Well, about nutrition. We have full board, I don't regret anything. Clean dishes, set tables, polite and fast waiters. Very comfortable. Mango, papaya, passion fruit, pineapple mini, bananas mini are three times on the menu. All fruits are ripe and very tasty. Especially passion fruit and papaya. They taste better here than, for example, in Thailand or Vietnam. The buffet menu. The choice of dishes is small, but when there is something to choose from. There are non-spicy dishes. That's what we eat. In conclusion, I want to say that the hotel is quite decent. You can safely book. If I return to Sri Lanka, it will only be to this hotel. Thank you.

I have not been to Sri Lanka for 20 years, during which time the island has changed a lot. There was a normal circular toll road along the coast and we got to the hotel relatively quickly from Colombo.
The hotel itself is not new, but everything is in relative order, the beach area and the reception area are beautiful, well maintained.
The hotel is located on a ledge and there are 2 beaches, one in the lagoon, where you can swim even with the waves.
The territory is closed, the locals will only be on the beach, but no harassment.
All rooms have sea views, balconies with a couch are good during the baking season, you can lie in the breeze, listen to the sound of the sea and crows cawing.
There are a lot of chipmunks and crows, you need to watch for food on the sun beds.
The breakfasts are fantastic, I haven't seen such a choice for a long time, there are a lot of fruits, and all sorts of other dishes to my fastidious taste are on top. The lunch buffet is more victorious, the dinner is generally normal, there is something to eat, meat, fish, everything is decent.
Turtles do come, there were several every day, the locals sell bags of algae with which to feed them.
There are a lot of restaurants near the hotel, a couple of massage parlors and, of course, souvenirs.
In the evening, all kinds of programs and shows are arranged, the hotel bar is large, there is a fish restaurant on site where you can order dishes from lobster, crab, shrimp, lobsters, and all kinds of local fish.
If you choose a hotel for a week of relaxation, then the hotel is suitable. The main thing is not to have high expectations and the rest will be great.

The guide (koggala_tour sri lanka vol. +94 77 105 9029 Mahesh) I really liked it, he speaks average Russian, but you can understand it. We watched the elephant nursery (honestly, it's a waste of time if you've seen elephants before, because you STUPIDLY watch them drink, eat, fuck, etc. There is NO idea), a waterfall, fed monkeys, rode a train over a beautiful bridge (Very carefully, their doors do not close!). I recommend it, the tour is only for you different from the group and it's a different kaaaf😁 Och is a good driver, serpentines are the scariest, well done guys! They will be happier with Russian vodka and chocolates😉

We found the best place for lunch and dinner with ocean views, sunsets, the best service - SUNSET cafe (if you leave the hotel - to the left, you can walk along the beach, then to the right).

Great hotel. The private beach is 50 meters away. Free deck chairs were always available. Clean territory, inconspicuous security, attentive and courteous staff. Rooms are cleaned 2 times a day. The buffet is varied. Chipmunks are running around. The territory is being treated against mosquitoes.
I think that the hotel will appeal to people who want to plunge into the atmosphere of Asia a little.
