We were here on May 7th. It's not the first time. And everything is always fine. The Sat receptionist booked us a great table. Delicious cuisine, wonderful Prosecco, attentive waiter, beautiful view. In general, it should be noted that the staff at this restaurant is very different from other establishments in the city in their professionalism, customer orientation and indifference. Everyone is very smart and beautiful. Thank you for the pleasant memories, we will definitely visit and recommend to our guests.

Slightly excessive attention of the staff to the interior is great that the doors are like in an Uzbek house, but we didn't come to the museum, so you can make the excursions shorter before ordering.
The food is excellent, the drinks are without comment.

We booked a table in advance, in the comments I asked for a table by the window. It was very nice that the wish was taken into account.
Food:
We took samsa with meat and salad with apple as a snack - very decent.
Complementarily treated with donuts (they have a different name, but the essence is clear :))
We took beshbarmak and manti with beef and horse meat for the main course - we were also very satisfied, delicious and beautiful
For dessert, we took a chocolate ball and something amazing with nut sauce. The balloon, unfortunately, was about nothing, but the nutty dessert was wonderful.
Food 4.5/5
Service - it was the best service of all the places in Almaty where I was. The dishes were taken out at the same time and in the right order, the plates were cleaned in a timely manner, they asked if they liked it. They talked about each dish - whether it is local, from which products, etc.
Of course, there is a lot to grow if measured with gastrostoles, but I think that this is already an excellent level

You come to Medeu, from there a little higher and there, once upon a time, the famous Kazakh-Aul restaurant, which turned into a fashionable ethno-gastronomic restaurant Auyl.
"Kazakh Village in the past, Auyl is a new incarnation"
The restaurant building is historical and beautiful in its architecture.
At the entrance, as usual, lovely hostesses are greeted, escorted to your table.
After sitting down and enjoying the atmosphere, the menu was brought to me, after accepting the order, a compliment from the institution followed -
Baursaki with sour cream mixed with honey, (a classic snack - very tasty, while still hot). Water is poured for free - a big plus!
Almost simultaneously, along with the baursaks, my hot appetizer is brought to me - a very tasty, insanely tender Jigyar: lamb liver kebab with chicken, served with flatbread, pepper mousse, yogurt with herbs and sweet onions!
Another 10 minutes later, they bring me Samsa with mushrooms and bone marrow, which, in fact, you expect to get before a hot snack.
So, a little bit about samsa... the bone marrow itself, for me personally, does not have a pronounced taste, and here it is also interrupted by mushrooms... it tastes like an ordinary mushroom pie...(
The very purpose of coming to this restaurant was to try their BESHPARMAK, which all the locals praised!
BUT by the evening it was over!... 🥲
Only a portion, no problem for the company.... which is already strange🤔
As a result, I had to order pilaf, which I saw on many tables.
The pilaf looks great, beautiful, lots of meat (beef), chickpeas, raisins... They just brought it barely warm... They were redone and brought back...
BUT the pilaf turned out to be fatty, a lot of oil, the rice is hard and not steamed... that it was impossible to eat it... Except meat!
I ate the meat, the rest was left on the plate.
Alas, after a partial tasting of pilaf, severe heartburn began, which did not work out to try and enjoy the dessert.

Music - 5/5✅️
Service - 5/5 ✅️(perhaps this is the best service in the whole of Almaty)

I came here to have a snack and go out to Zoom with a client. It's hard to find free places here - you need to book in advance, so they put me at the bar.
I ordered Kazakh tea, lamb lula and sweet potato. I like Kazakh tea everywhere in Almaty, but lula exceeded all expectations. I've never tasted anything so tender, and I'm already 50 years old!
I would add that this is the only decent place near Medeu. I recommend it! 👍🏻
