This place was recommended to me by a local resident. It turned out that everything was not so rosy. The service is terrible (however, as in many establishments in Yerevan), the waiters are slow and not friendly, first they take out the food, then the appliances. one dish was taken out cold, asked to be replaced, eventually warmed up and brought back (it was a flatbread with veal, it was clearly visible that it was not new), khinkali tasted like ordinary dumplings (wrong spices, not properly chopped minced meat, the dough is overcooked, there is almost no broth), but soups and tortillas with herbs delicious.
I tried homemade wine - as if from a box (and this is Armenia, after all, it's delicious everywhere else)
Great price, delicious Armenian (no other cuisine) The food is therefore 3 stars

They came to the tavern without an appointment and were kings. The food was prepared quickly, with the restaurant almost fully loaded, but at the same time they did not bring everything at once, but gradually, the atmosphere was cozy, each table was separate from each other. Pleasant music is playing and not loud, you can communicate and hear each other, which is also important. The portions are very large and very tasty. We entered the tavern on foot, and rolled out of it😅
We had a waiter, Sergei, a courteous, well-mannered, intelligent young man. I recommend this place to everyone!

delicious flatbread with herbs. Lamaggio was served cold, after the question "Is this how it should be?" warmed up in the microwave. Homemade wine is below average, its 500 drams, of course, is worth it, but it's better to overpay and take a delicious one from another institution.

I really liked the Kavkaz tavern! We enjoyed the Armenian cuisine: Bozbash soup (veal, potatoes), Vats soup (lamb, pepper, eggplant, tomato), Mutton bag (lamb, lavash, vegetables), Bayazet Kufta (broken veal pulp, cognac, onion, egg). The portions are large, everything is delicious and not expensive. The service is excellent and fast. Thank you very much to all the staff! We definitely recommend everyone to visit!

The Caucasus Tavern is a terrible institution, I have not met in any country!!! .... We are very friendly girls. However, such an incident occurred.The ugly service, the dry and tasteless meat, the non-mastering descriptive part of the menu of the waitress's establishment. But the most important thing is that I hate when they "breed" stupidly "breed": they tried to include the cost of a bottle of wine in the receipt, which we refused - without even uncorking it! The bottle was not placed on our table by the waiter...A senior manager was invited - he absolutely does not speak Russian. I think that an institution that advertises itself with excellent Armenian cuisine should be able to speak and present its dishes in Russian at least a little bit. The cost of the unopened bottle has been returned with grief. I definitely do not recommend this place! There are really many wonderful places.

She didn't even respond to my comment about the freshness of the barbecue. The word "tavern" fits the establishment quite clearly, I would even call it a "diner". To drop in, throw something in my stomach and ride on.
I can't understand how people put money behind the kitchen. Objectively, these are either purchased reviews, or people have never tasted dishes of real Caucasian cuisine.

We went to another place, but got confused in the city, so we ended up in this tavern, completely by accident. Everything was fine until the bill arrived. Include a tip of 10% of the bill in it. Well, we decided to turn it on and turn it on. We paid the bill and began to pack, said thank you to the waiter and said goodbye. He made such a face (you can't call it a face) that he ruined the whole impression of the dinner. He silently ignored our words. He only grunted in response. Isn't it too bold to include tips in the bill, and then also wait for them a second time?
When paying with a card, they tell fairy tales that it is terribly difficult. But, as it turned out, this is just an excuse to extort cash. Everything works fine for them.

Very tasty dishes and large portions. We were with my wife for the New Year, ordered bean soup, piti, vegetable salad and dolma. Well, plus a drink and bread. We ate to the brim, delicious and paid about 1200 rubles with our money. I don't remember what the soup was called, I'm looking on the Internet, but so far without success.
