Classical and national repertoire, beautiful voices, professional performance. I highly recommend everyone to visit this pearl of the capital of Armenia.

Very beautiful place,💚
Famous musicians from around the world went there, including Samvel Yervinyan, who worked with Yanni.
When it comes to receiving tickets, the workers inside are very nice and polite, especially to those who have health problems with walking. They provide good service by respecting the visitors. ❤️
The seats need some updating, but what a charming place this is...
As for the shows, regardless of the quality (I've seen great stuff and not so great stuff) one cannot help but appreciate the effort and the artistry...
A chamber, cozy theater.
The auditorium is not large, the stage is clearly visible from any place.
The first few rows of seats are arranged without lifting, and a good ascent begins above, so that even a large, tall spectator sitting in front of them will not interfere with enjoying the action taking place on stage.
We were at the Nutcracker ballet. I liked the production, it's not too long, it looks easy.
In terms of status in Armenia, this theater is comparable to the Moscow Bolshoi Theater, however, tickets for performances are much more affordable.
The most expensive ticket for the ballet The Nutcracker cost about 3,500 rubles (AMD 12,000).
Tickets can be purchased online, but MIR cards are not accepted for payment.
It is possible to make a reservation with the purchase of the order within 72 hours.
We were at the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater in October 2024 at Swan Lake. In general, everything is fine - a beautiful building, a wonderful orchestra, but there were also little things that spoiled the impression. For example, there was some kind of trouble with the light, the bulbs were constantly blinking, the dancers were stumbling, and the start of the performance was delayed.
And, apparently, ballet is not my thing at all. Let's try to go to the opera again.
The theater made a huge impression.I didn't regret at all that we visited him and watched The Nutcracker
.A wonderful New Year's tale, the ballet dancers created a wonderful mood, thank you! And the theater itself is decent, beautiful, the hall, very comfortable chairs in the stalls. The orchestra is beyond praise! Well done! And the ticket price was pleasantly surprised. We also wanted to go to the opera in the theater, but, unfortunately, we were already on our way and there was little time.
If you find yourself in Yerevan, be sure to visit the National Opera and Ballet Theater. It's not just a building — it's an entire epoch, embodied in architecture and sound.
What's impressive:
✅ Acoustics. The sound in the hall is clear, powerful, and enveloping.
Architecture. A majestic building, a spacious hall, comfortable armchairs, elegant chandeliers — the atmosphere of a classical theater.
, Repertoire.
It's especially nice that the tickets are affordable, so you can afford a little luxury even while traveling.
I watched Carmen here, and it was unforgettable. The orchestra is lively, the soloists are strong, the emotions are over the edge
I really love this theater. Not a bad sound. I love musicians, all orchestras are great, but the NFOA is one love. The music and opera are very good here. Ballet is, alas, a dance with outstretched toes. We had a good trip to Placido Domingo, the Hilla was beautiful. Lots of good performances and concerts. The sound is good, voluminous, you can take almost any place.
For opera 5. For ballet 4.
I like the theater. And now it's better: they've started warming up, lighting the lobby, selling programs, musicians have stopped smoking in the pit, a buffet has appeared, and performances are being performed more often.
I've been to two operas, Troubadour in Italian and Anoush in Armenian. They sang beautifully. The second one is good for getting to know the culture.
Italian operas in general look very authentic.
I've been watching ballet quite recently. Swan Lake. In 2 acts )). With Russian dancers. But the soloists were local. I am not an experienced ballet spectator, but there are questions)). To the soloists.
And I haven't been touched by the music yet. Strange. She didn't get into the soul. The seats were good. There were fibers at the opera, but not at the ballet. But there was another conductor.
And I didn't like the shortened version of the ballet. Where is the dying swan?((
A friend was watching Spartacus. She said that the soloist looked authentic. Well, as in Sparta)), ancient Rome.
A hall with excellent visibility! Starting from row 8, a more significant increase begins, and it is from row 8 and above that it is better to buy tickets. There is also a pretty decent visibility on the sides. The occupancy rate has increased, but you can still buy tickets every day without any problems. And the tickets started to cost significantly more.
There's only one buffet, and there's a long queue. Cognac is definitely being poured.
Performances are not every day, but they began to be given more often. I plan to walk to Khachaturian myself!
We highly recommend visiting the Yerevan Opera and Ballet Theater!
Tickets are not expensive!
The theater is beautiful.
The artists and musicians are real professionals!
We watched La Traviata. I liked everything very much. The artists work with full dedication. It's a shame that there are few viewers.
It's a very beautiful building, both inside and out. I went to the Nutcracker ballet quite well, although I honestly am not a connoisseur, it was just interesting to go to the ballet once. The scenery is great, and the musicians in front of the stage were most impressed, they are amazing, just great! Respect for the actors too!
If you are a fan of ballet and opera, you should definitely visit.
We were at the Nutcracker ballet. Wonderful theater, excellent acoustics, great artists, dancers and musicians, I had a lot of fun! The organization is also at a good level. Thanks!
Every time I visit Yerevan, I go to the Opera and Ballet Theater. Very beautiful! I watched several ballets and the opera La Traviata. They sing great, dance in different ways) The conductor is wonderful, the orchestra is small - sometimes there is not enough forte. I'll go again!
I listened to the opera by D. Verdi "Othello", an amazing impression.
Great voices. The acoustics of the hall are excellent. The location is very convenient. Overall, the impressions are the most pleasant.
A wonderful place! Yerevan Cultural Center! I watched Khachaturian's ballet Gayane and had great pleasure. I saw an installation dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Sergei Parajanov's birth. It's amazing! I highly recommend it!
Opera, ballet are all at the highest level. The atmosphere is creative as always, clean and comfortable. Get a great impression. You definitely need to go when you are in Yerevan.
I definitely visit Yerevan every time I come! Buy tickets in advance, as some performances, Gayane, for example, are sold out in a month. Please note that on the opposite side of the building, where the monument to Aram Khachaturian is located, there is a concert hall named after him. Aram Khachaturian, great concerts are taking place there, the ticket offices are nearby. I had a chance to attend a concert dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Georgy Garanyan, it was sparkling and unforgettable! Denis Matsuev performed both classical and jazz in a couple of days!
We were on Carmen. Great voices and costumes. They sing with their soul.
I liked it more than the last 2 operas at the Bolshoi Theater.
The local sparkling wine before the opera and during the intermission for 1k is on the verge of fiction. We took the 12th row. My wife liked it, but I would have taken the 10th. It should not be lower because of the features of the hall.
A beautiful theater. Everything is on top, good sound, there is a buffet, beautiful furniture. I really liked it. The stage and the hall are small, but wherever you sit, you can clearly see everywhere
We visited the Opera and Ballet Theater in Yerevan. Opera Carmen. The performers of the leading parts are super! Great voices! Goosebumps! The orchestra is on top! We had fun. I recommend it!
I live in Russia, after the renovation I went to the concert of Domingo Placido for the first time. The interior is at the highest level, the staff is too, the concert is of course- dreams come true. I will be very happy to go to other concerts
It's a magical place, and people speak Armenian, Russian, and English fluently, so you can always get information from friendly employees. The theater itself is very beautiful both inside and out, there was a production at Swan Lake. 🔥
We went to the ballet Swan Lake in October. We got the maximum pleasure from the choreography, music and entourage. We were sitting on the 10th row in the stalls, the view is excellent.
The Philharmonic Hall is very beautiful. There are many interesting events and concerts. But the question for the people who come to these concerts, especially in winter, is it really difficult to put outerwear in the wardrobe and not make a mess on the seat backs. Well, it's ugly)
A great place where you definitely need to go! The atmosphere is just amazing. The most picturesque hall inside.
If you are in Yerevan, you definitely need to visit this place!😉
We passed by and went to the theater, but I didn't have any cash with me from the mir card, unfortunately I wouldn't have had time to withdraw the money since the performance was already starting. The receptionist came out and gave the children invitations. It was the only performance that remained in Russian this month. A wonderful warm Thumbelina performance. Thank you for your hospitality) we will come again!!!
Good time of day. Cultural facilities were built in the USSR for centuries. We watched the Ballet Spartacus. Khachaturian's music, MAGIC.
A pleasant place for a good mood. I recommend.
I really liked the theater. We were at the Swan Lake. Well-coordinated work of the orchestra and ballet dancers. Gorgeous costumes. I want to come back again.
It is a monument to the new history of Armenia. History has been and is being made on its square. Children grow up, young people fall in love. And art is being created inside. One of the most beautiful arts is music.
The Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater in Arinja left an unforgettable impression. The amazing architecture of the theater and the high professionalism of the performers create a unique atmosphere. I was immersed in the world of great art, enjoying high-class opera and ballet performances. This theater is a real pearl of the cultural heritage of Armenia.
