The food is delicious. Straight, really tasty. The service is pleasant, and the prices....low. how do you like the price?.450 or 500 rubles for a bottle of wine?)))
It's just great.
This place should definitely be in the guide to Abkhazia. One of the disadvantages is parking on the other side of the highway, i.e. on the way to Sukhum. And so 10 out of 5. Be sure to go

Before traveling to Abkhazia, I studied where to go and this restaurant was one of the first on the list.It is very inconvenient between Sukhum and New Athos,located in a gorge, an unforgettable interior, being in a rock, very pleasant coolness, tables in caves, a waterfall,worth a look, but the staff let us down, we arrived at 21:00, it turned out it works until 22:00 but they agreed to feed us, friends decided on a choiceand I was not very hungry, my wife ordered dessert (an incomparable strudel), and the waiter persuaded me for 10 minutes so that I tried meat in a pan on coals, in general, under pressure, I agreed.They waited for 40 minutes, and miraculously they brought everything to everyone, but she just forgot about me...The evening was ruined....

It's an atmospheric place, we went here specially to have dinner from Gudauta. Beautiful natural interior. The pan with beef and khachapuri pleased, but the seafood salad disappointed. The service is fast and pleasant. The prices are no more expensive than in any other restaurant in Abkhazia. The problem with the U-turn on the way back. It is worth visiting, as a historical restaurant, by the way, Khrushchev's favorite place.

Everything is consistent, the natural coolness, the mountain river, there is a place to walk while waiting for an order.
The tables really stand in small caves.
There are few Neanderthals, mostly Homosapiens.
The kitchen, like everything else, in mountainous eastern Abkhazia, is at an altitude)

An incredibly atmospheric place, a restaurant in a real gorge, in rocks covered with moss and vines. In addition, the chef Angela cooks very well, all the dishes were just great. And what kind of tortillas are served there - delight! The dishes are served quickly, the waitresses are very friendly. We recommend that everyone definitely visit there.

Stunning view and atmosphere. It's worth coming here for this. The food is delicious, but it takes a very long time to cook) A romantic room across the street.It's just not safe to cross here. Cars are rushing at full speed. There is no sign, no pedestrian crossing. There's not even a place to wash your hands in the restaurant itself.

It was interesting, how is the restaurant in the gorge?
Of course, the place itself is beautiful, I generally love nature, but a restaurant is certainly a big word, a cafe is nothing more. Sitting in a cool place, surrounded by greenery, in a canyon is of course wonderful, but that's it!
I took trout baked in foil, brought a small piece, potatoes from below, 2 shrimps and just everything is so tasteless, I can not convey. And khachapuri is usually delicious everywhere in Abkhazia, but not here:(( only the compote was delicious 🤩
The price is restaurant, but that's all, everything else, I'm sorry, neither the food nor the service is about anything, although I'm not a picky person. Judging by other reviews, it is fashionable to say that there is no comrade in taste and color.

Today we visited a chic INSTITUTION, but definitely not a restaurant, at the level of not even a cafe, but canteens - dishes, decoration of dishes, furniture, and the taste of the dishes itself, there is not even a dessert, you can at least have good chocolate in the assortment, even sugar and it is not clear what and what (you can replace with refined)
Coffee is not tasty. Mahito is a regular lemon instead of lime 🤦♀️
How can you ruin such a gorgeous place with this🤦♀️
From such a gorgeous place, you can make a highlight of the coast by replacing:
1) chefs
2) furniture
3) dishes
4) menu (the design itself)

I give 2 stars purely for the place and the atmosphere.
Food for 1 star - it was impossible to eat French fries - it felt like they used reusable frying oil. the steak was not very good, the Caesar salad with shrimp and salmon was the same. it was possible to eat only pizza (as a result, 2 people had a stomach ache). Kitchen for 1* - dishes (tea glasses were served with fine dirt), the place for cooking looks so-so. The order was waited for 50 minutes. The menu sheet is torn off, the tables are wobbly.
The staff is unfriendly to the guests. Dogs and cats walk in the establishment and beg for food. In fact, a place for a photo, I would definitely not have come here to eat again and advised.

About 14 years ago I was in Abkhazia in New Athos, but I still remember the hospitable people, we all liked this restaurant, you understand because who visits the sea for what, so we went on vacation and were ready that everything would be expensive but, I'll say this, they just don't have a job, and the profit is only from for us vacationers, so think for yourself why everything is so expensive.

Terrible service. We have been waiting for our order for a long time. The portions are small, and the price tag is not cheap. The beauty of this place is too embellished. If you use a natural place for your own purposes, then at least take care of this place.
I don't like to write negative reviews at all, but I cried all night yesterday from what I saw. There was a dog in this restaurant, well, it's understandable - the institution is located on the street. The guests did not mind, she was not annoying, they fed her from the table, stroked and touched her. But at some point, a guy ran out, I don't know who he is, maybe the cook, maybe the owner, and kicked the poor animal at a run, shouting curses at her, so that her whining could probably be heard all over the country. My child started crying instantly, and I still can't get away from this situation. If this guy is reading these lines, then know that you are not a man, you are worse than a beast!
I hope that this deed will come back to you one day!
I understand that many people will say that a dog does not belong in a restaurant. Duck, take it away, hide it, give it to someone! Why beat him? She's already been betrayed by someone.…

I give 3 points only for a place created by nature, it is very beautiful. We took the main dish - baked fish , we didn 't like it , no seasonings or sauce , just potatoes with fish . Even the milkshake was not delicious. It's worth stopping by just for the entourage.

The cafe is located in a picturesque place where you can take pictures, BUT there is a parking lot across the street, there is no pedestrian crossing (you cross the highway like a suicide)
The waiters are rude and unfriendly. They wanted to take a table on the 2nd floor, the waitress rudely replied: "am I going to miss you there?!" (There were 7 of us)
The tablecloth was stained and smelled of diesel fuel. There is no toilet in the cafe, you need to walk across the street, it is banally dangerous and it is difficult to call it a "toilet". Dirt, stench, water almost does not flow.
We do NOT recommend eating here, the place is purely for photographs.

The toilet is only on the other side across the highway and then it's public. It's scary to go there. And if it 's already dark . It's not thought out, everything is for money, not for people. The Gorge restaurant is located on the Sukhum - New Athos highway. It's a very atmospheric place. A stream flows along the bottom of the gorge, over which stone bridges are thrown. Small grotto cabins, covered with vines, are located on both sides of the stream. There is a deep pond in the middle. During the rainy season, it is filled with water in which fish are found. A stream, grottoes, bridges, ladders, creepers - all this resembles a fantastic world.
We ordered two dishes "Gorge Specialty fish dish" (trout with vegetables on the grill) and "Gorge Specialty meat dish" (three types of meat on the grill). Everything was very tasty!
I think you will not regret visiting the wonderful Gorge restaurant.

To be clear. What are the rave reviews?!?! Yes, it's an atmospheric place, yes it's in a rock, in a gorge. But! This restaurant does not have its own parking lot. Parking is across the street. To cross the road, you will have to risk your life. Cars come out of the corner at breakneck speed, and you need to go to the restaurant, and then out of it. The price tag is overstated by 2 times compared to prices in Sukhum itself. The food is very mediocre. To revitalize the place, they held water, which creates the feeling of a waterfall, well, sort of like that. The oilcloth on the table smells like artificial flowers, like in a cemetery. It is not realistic to call a taxi if you are in your own car. Well, come take a picture and buy a bottle of lemonade. That's it!!! There's nothing else to do here
