A cozy place near the railway station. Polite, friendly staff, interesting interior and most importantly - delicious and quite reasonable prices.
We wanted to try the national Belarusian dishes. The potted pancakes, warlocks and potato dough prepared here are definitely worth a try. The portions are hearty.

We came to Minsk for a couple of days and decided to try draniki in an institution with local cuisine. We read about an institution on Zen in the top of such authentic places.
The situation of the restaurant was immediately alerted - the basement was almost windowless and with an EMO waitress. But we didn't show it. We ordered draniki and beer - neither one nor the other was impressed.
Draniki seemed to be baked by a grandmother without a soul. I can cook better purely because of my attitude, although I don't know how to cook.
Beer is even worse. It seemed that it was watered down, and the light beer also stank. Top 2 Worst beers I've Tried
It is difficult to explain how this institution manages to defame very high-quality Belarusian cuisine in such a way. My explanation is that the name speaks for itself. Yankees (English Yankee) are real Americans, descendants of European colonialists. Draw your own conclusions

A good inexpensive national institution for lovers of Belarusian cuisine. The prices are low, the assortment is quite large, the contingent is adult, suitable for feasts of 50+ and foreign guests to get acquainted with our cuisine.
I can't say that it was delicious to me, vinegar borscht, fat does not chew on it, there is a lot of mayonnaise in a salad with chicken, but for 2 dishes less than 30 rubles, and I haven't seen such prices in Minsk for a long time.
The waiters were not eager to take the order and rolled their eyes a little, but then surprisingly quickly everything was brought and after tipping they began to work more actively. I won't come back for sure myself, but at the request of an inexpensive place with local cuisine, I will mention it.

I really liked visiting the Yankees, delicious cuisine, reasonable money for dishes, special thanks and I want to mention it. The service and the staff of the waiters (very attentive, polite, appreciate the time of the guests and know their cuisine very well and can help with preferences).
We are very satisfied and it has become a favorite place to visit!

Pleasant atmosphere, interesting interior. The kitchen is on the level, the menu is varied. We were interested in the dishes of Belarusian cuisine, the choice and quality pleased us. The portions are large. The prices are adequate. I really liked the horseradish tincture. We ordered a similar one in 2 more cafes, it's not like this, Yana's is just amazing) One moment upset us, we went to my DR, usually cafes and restaurants make a compliment. I was ignored here.

We were with friends in Minsk on the May weekend. There were no limits to the cultural shock of the size of the establishments, people were literally sitting on top of each other!
After a long walk, we finally wanted to taste the national cuisine, and we went in search of pancakes! Fate brought us to the Yankee Cafe.
How delicious it was! The tinctures are top, especially horseradish, the first dishes - we tried solyanka and borscht with lard were just incredibly delicious, and the portion was quite generous (:
But what can we say about draniki... They are simply incomparable. Two dishes and drinks (tinctures, sprite and tea) it cost me about 1,500 Russian rubles :)
I would also like to note that in comparison with other more popular restaurants, this institution is not inferior to them in any way. The food is delicious, there is no crowd queue, the service is super, the veranda, the only thing that confused me, and because of what I put 4 stars, is that, unfortunately, they forgot about half of our order. But this issue was quickly settled.
If you are faced with the choice of "Cornflowers" or "Yankees", choose definitely the latter. Thank you for your hospitality! 💞

We accidentally wandered here on March 9 due to the lack of places in nearby establishments. To be honest, after dinner, we never regretted staying here.
We took a steak, a frying pan of potatoes with meat and 2 plates of borscht. Special respect for borscht, served with delicious bacon, horseradish and a fragrant loaf. The rest of the dishes were also delicious. I recommend the restaurant for 5 out of 5. The prices are reasonable, about 20-25 rubles for the second course and 10 rubles for soups. There is a 20% discount for the birthday boy, which we took advantage of. Thank you guys for a pleasant evening

There is no organization in the establishment, if you want to eat here more than an hour before closing, you will encounter the fact that three waiters will give you different information. At first they will say that there are no hot dishes, but everything else can be ordered. And after 5 minutes you will find out that in fact you can only order cold snacks. When asked why they couldn't even cook a salad for us, they said that the kitchen closes in half an hour, but they are so heavily loaded that they will not be able to cook absolutely anything. When asked how this could be if another waiter gave us different information, they said that we were simply deceived. An interesting organization is at a place where the waiters deceive you, and the kitchen refuses to work with a completely empty hall and a barely loaded veranda

We wanted to have dinner before leaving for another city, we arrived at 21:50, and closing at 23:00.
The waitress said that you can only order salads and cold appetizers, we sat down at a table, spending time, which was not enough. The next waiter said the same thing.
After 3 minutes, another waiter came up and said that they could only cook cold snacks (cheese plate, fish slices, etc. - you won't get enough, in general), and also that their kitchen was working for another half hour and they were sooo loaded (there were 20-30 people in the cafe, many of whom were finishing their meal) :)
In response to my "and they just told us that we can order salads", he said "well, you were deceived, come back tomorrow", and tomorrow we won't be here anymore)

The service in the restaurant leaves much to be desired.
50% of the declared menu was missing from the restaurant.
The dumplings served to us were boiled. As the children who were with us noticed, the meat jumped out of the dumplings.
The draniki were not impressed.
The only delicious dish was the fish cut.
The tongue was wonderfully cooked, but the side dish (boiled vegetables) was pumped up, which was clearly not in the topic.

A cool colorful Belarusian cafe. I liked the cuisine, but in the menu in the section - Belarusian cuisine, the dishes include: champignons, olives and olives. I doubt that these are the ingredients of traditional Belarusian dishes. I ask the chief to pay attention to this, it greatly undermines the national flavor. The prices are reasonable. We went to lunch, tempted by the fact that there is no queue, Yankee billboards stand at the entrance to Cornflowers, where there was a queue to enter. We were disappointed by the completely indifferent waiter, who does the work without enthusiasm and the fact that the dishes brought to us turned out to be far from the expected quality. After having a snack, and my wife also refused a low-quality dish, we left. We were really told that they do not have a mass market, but they cook individually, I did not notice this.
