The monastery, which was opened by the Most Reverend Euphrosyne. It was closed only by the Soviet government, of course, "at the request of the workers." The relics of St.After her death, Euphrosyne was kept in Jerusalem, at the risk of capture by the Turks, they were taken out by monks and transported to the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. In 1910, after repeated requests from the Belarusian clergy and the population, they were transported to St. Efrosinievsky Monastery, the birthplace of the saint, where they are currently kept. Under Soviet rule, they were repeatedly inspected and robbed, transported several times, including during the war. They remained incorruptible, are an object of veneration, and the monastery is a place of pilgrimage.
A quiet place with all the flavor of the nunneries. The abbess educates the nuns of the monastery, they are very good-natured and polite, like the abbess herself. Next to the Holy Cross Cathedral there is an ancient temple of the 12th century, where St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk herself prayed.

A very kind and bright place, an island of inner silence in the already calm Polotsk
The complex, accessible to the public, includes 3 buildings. Frescoes have been largely preserved in the oldest-12th century. Beautiful, well-maintained territory. We were on a day off. There are plenty of pilgrims. It is better to visit on a weekday. There is a church shop outside the territory where you can drink herbal tea and buy very tasty pastries.
The pearl of our city and the whole country. The center of spirituality. The greatest cultural monument of all Slavs. The monastery houses the miraculous relics of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk.
A heavenly place. The kindest and most just abbess of this monastery will always listen to everyone and shelter them. The Polomniks will be welcomed and warmed by their Polotsk love in this modest monastery.
