A small cozy territory on which are located: Holy Cross Cathedral (1893-97) in the neo-Byzantine style, the old-headed white stone church, the winter church of St. Euphrosyne (1847). The cathedral contains the relics of Saint Euphrosyne, who is considered the patroness of Belarus. The monastery itself was founded by the saint in 1127. Euphrosyne died in Jerusalem during a pilgrimage.
An ancient monastery. There are the ashes of Euphrosyne of Polotsk, the patroness of all women, and her famous cross. A lot of women probably go with their problems. A place that must be visited.
I've been there many times. A very spiritual place heals the soul, a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The staff does not bother about empty rooms, the clergy and nuns do not bother either. There is a sense of freedom within the limits of what is acceptable. 🙂😁👹
The monastery of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk is a miracle. Everything is equipped and clean. Services - every day, wonderful singing and reading. I advise everyone to visit, especially with family.
The monastery is wonderful !! Founded by St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk (12th century) !! She is an amazing, educated woman of her era! Her relics reside in the monastery she founded. The monastery also has the Transfiguration Church, which has unique frescoes of the 12th century (now closed for repairs). The monastery is active, friendly sisters, cafes. A pleasant place !!
We touched such a special one! The ancient icon impressed me. The nuns are friendly, humble and smiling. It will remain in the memory! We are grateful for the preservation of faith!
I liked everything, except for the cost of services. A simple note of 500 Russian rubles (in Russia, a simple note of 100 rubles). Candles are also very expensive from 4 Belarusian rubles. As a result, I gave 2,000 Russian rubles for four simple notes and three of the cheapest thin candles))))
A holy and blissful place. A beautiful monastery, well-groomed territory, blooming magnolia. A young nun enthusiastically talks about the history of the monastery.
It was very interesting. The novice Lyudmila accompanied the monastery, who impressed with her knowledge and positive thinking. I was delighted. God bless her!!!
To create such a monastery, to invite Constantinople masters - this is only possible for a talented and authoritative woman. Euphrosyne is undoubtedly a businesswoman of her time! It is a pity that the restoration of the frescoes has been going on for so long, the cathedral has been closed to visitors for several years.
Perhaps the place will seem wonderful for believers and pilgrims, but there is nothing much for an ordinary tourist to do here. There is a complex of buildings that are either under repair or closed to access. There is a central temple where you can go, but if this is not the first Orthodox church in your life, it is unlikely to surprise you with anything. There is a shop on site with all sorts of teas, church utensils and other things, you can get water.
The place is clearly focused on Russian tourists, the price tags are in Russian rubles, all the goods are also brought from neighbors, which is upsetting - can't they do anything in Belarus themselves?
There is a cafe with excellent fresh pastries in front of the entrance, I recommend it.
A holy place for believers. An interesting place for those who travel around Belarus and want to learn its history. The monastery is surrounded by a high wall, the entrance is through a gate. Outside the walls, the Cathedral of the Exaltation of the Cross with the relics of St. Euphrosyne, the Tomb Church, the Transfiguration Church, St. Euphrosyne's fram.
On the territory, as in Pechora, in headscarves and skirts, otherwise they are not allowed. There is Parking nearby-for those who drive a car. Beautiful, well-groomed. If you like such places, I recommend it.
It's a very beautiful place. Celebrations on the occasion of the monastery's 900th anniversary will be held on 06/05/2025.

Be quiet...however, in order to collect holy water, you need to buy a bottle cap))))I arrived on a weekday and found a parking spot. They say you can't get through on the weekend. It's cool in the temple...
A well-maintained place filled with people, excursions are organized for groups...employees of the monastery..of the cons.. the groups are large and hard to hear...
A very strong spiritual and beautiful place. Even if you are not believers, I recommend you to visit. There are shops where you can buy books, candles, postcards with old photos, a lot of church religious and fiction literature.
A unique monastery with frescoes from the 12th century. The oldest church will open soon after the restoration. A wonderful tour was conducted by a nun
A holy place! Such grace is there, words cannot convey it. And the relics of St. Euphrosyne are fragrant! The nun sisters are very friendly and welcoming... I recommend definitely visiting this monastery.
We plunged into another world, attended one evening and two morning services. We learned a lot of interesting things. We spent the night in a guest house at the monastery.
A very interesting, spiritual place, a wonderful guide! It's unexpected for such a small town. The tour costs purely symbolic money at Russian prices.
I recommend you to visit!
One of the oldest monasteries in our territory. The spirit of the times, silence and white walls. Peace in all its glory. It would seem that Belarus... But no, there is something to see.
The Spaso-Euphrosyne Monastery is one of the cradles of Orthodoxy in Belarus. A cozy, beautiful place where you can enjoy both the beauty of architecture and think about the high, spiritual
It is one of the important centers of Orthodoxy and pilgrimage. Beautiful architecture, picturesque surroundings. The place is quite popular and touristic, but
The beauty is indescribable!!! It must be seen!!!!! We were in Polotsk on an excursion and visited the monastery 2 times!!!! Very impressed!!!

There is nothing for a tourist to do here, in a large-looking beautiful temple - the walls inside are all white, without painting, only a small atmospheric old church saves the situation. The territory is large and well-groomed, but it feels like "for your own" + the check-in has been closed for a long time by a barrier, parking is not organized. Keep in mind that if you are female and not wearing a skirt, then the guard does not let you in at all, but you can "cover yourself" with their fabrics. I regretted looking in here. Even the small village churches are more virtuous.
For those who come here as a tourist, just to see, I will say that it is very beautiful. But they don't just go to the monastery to see. If you are looking for peace of mind and a touch of the holy, then I definitely recommend visiting.
Holy knee-high Earth! Here the soul heals and the body heals. This is a place of Strength, because our ancestors are waiting for us in the church to pray to God with us. Everyone who has visited Spaso-Efrosinyevsky at least once knows this.
I'm from Krasnodar myself, I was there for Easter, I really liked it, well done Belarusians, the service is very calm, without talking, and staggering.
An amazing place. There has been no soul in Russian cathedral collections for a long time, there is just business and money. And in Euphrosyne's monastery, everything is alive, the soul lives inside, the mothers support the shrine.
An unforgettable experience of visiting this holy place, meeting Mother Abbess. The final special impression is the opportunity to be attached to the relics
The air is filled with prayers and incense. Our Reverend Mother Euphrosyne, pray to God for us! All saints, pray to God for us!
Lord have mercy!
A holy place. All Orthodox Christians at least once a year, but they need to be here.
