The hotel is conveniently located in the very center, in a beautiful part of the embankment. Unfortunately, the advantages end there.
Disadvantages: the hotel is old, mentally and physically; old creaky beds; mattresses are wider than the bed, hanging down; springs bulge. The bathroom is old: cramped, the water is cold, it flows on the floor, the watering can barely holds on to some piece of wood
The reception is detached, it doesn't help.
The most unpleasant thing: misinformation from the tour operator Biblioglobus. The hotel is sold only with breakfast, the description only stated that breakfast takes place in a nearby restaurant, no other nuances were specified, the information was checked at the time of booking and at the time of writing the claim to Biblioglobus.
On the spot, it turned out that breakfast is included only within the amount of 300 rubles per person, while the prices are restaurant prices, 300 rubles do not even fit two pancakes and coffee! Despite the fact that the institution positions itself as a restaurant, the food is tasteless, the pancakes are frozen! There is no bread, butter, cheese, only dishes on the menu. At the same time, you cannot buy a hotel without breakfast, tourists are tied to this restaurant by the presence of breakfast, where they have to pay extra to eat!
Contacting the reception did not give any results, did not contribute to improving conditions, did not even sympathize. The tour operator Biblioglobus checked after the claim and simply corrected the description on the website - added an item about 300 rubles / person
Tourists have been vacationing in Sukhum for the fifth time, and this is their fifth hotel, and the most unsuccessful in terms of a combination of factors! We do not recommend the hotel, for the same price you can choose a more decent option, even in the very center!
The hotel is for unassuming tourists. It was important to me that this is a historical building, except famous, interesting people stayed in it. The staff is very polite, responsive, kind-hearted, like all Abkhazians. Where else at 3* you will have towels changed every day... Of course, some repairs are needed, but the location is gorgeous! The photo shows the view from the balcony. The hotel has 22 rooms, all with a beautiful view! Of course, if you only need a beach holiday, then it's a little inconvenient. But we went to Mocha beach without any problems, you can walk to the right of the hotel for 15 minutes to the pebble beach Lighthouse.Again, there is no elevator, but it didn't hurt us. In short, the rest in Ritsa was a success, thanks a lot to Abkhazia!!
The Ritsa Hotel was successfully renovated several years ago and welcomes guests who can enjoy the sea view from the cozy rooms at any time of the day or night, the most beautiful balconies overlook the Brekhalovka.
In general, not only fans and professionals of dominoes, chess and the people can enjoy the sight of male and female visitors to the Ritz hotel in bathrobes and underwear, but also artists, visitors and locals, whose favorite place to walk is this avenue... Frankness is now in fashion;)

Very atmospheric (the old hotel has high ceilings and large spaces) the room is large, but it has not been renovated for a long time.
A 4-storey building, it's bad that there is no elevator, it was not convenient with children, breakfasts are well for 3 people, although purely Abkhazian cuisine, opposite the restaurant was on the side of the square, I don't know what it's called, even ordinary boats are insanely delicious there. The rest of the dog was satisfied.
I stayed at this hotel at the beginning of August 2022.
Well, I 've seen negative reviews , but I still decided because of the location and architecture of the building .
Disappointment overtakes you as soon as you leave the hall , he is probably the only one left in a normal state .Then there is a continuous horror with a nightmare, starting from the stripped ceilings and walls in the corridors, to the creaking parquet, under the paths. It seems that the hotel is just living out its existence , it is clear that nothing has been done in it for a long time . The towels are washed , the mattress is old , there is a crown on the windows, and office blinds .I don 't want to be in the room at all , I want to run away from there .
Dressing gowns were , in summer , however , not relevant , hygiene supplies for 1 piece per day .
I'm not picky, but it's such a disappointment.
I do not recommend this hotel , from the word at all .
About the sea , it is 50 meters away , but the sea is not for swimming , it is the center of the city
To the beach of MVO (galko ) 45 minutes on foot , to Mocha it is better by transport .
About breakfast, you are given a deposit of 300 rubles , for which you can choose from the menu.
I do not recommend paying for breakfast, it is better to walk 5 minutes to Leon and have breakfast there.

The only advantage of this hotel is its location in the center of the capital. Then there will be some disadvantages.
1. I booked a room through booking. A suite with two balconies is fully prepaid, the hotel has no other payment options. The cost of the room is 8280 per day for double accommodation, including a 10% discount from booking. Payment by transfer to a card that is sent via WhatsApp, the staff explained this by sanctions against the Russian Federation.
After the full payment, a few weeks later, my booking at the booking office was canceled. I contacted the hotel, they reassured me that the reservation remains, and all customers were canceled at the booking due to the possibility of repeated charges. At that time, it didn't bother me, but in vain. Before going on vacation, I asked the hotel staff if an additional payment would be required for 2 or 3 people staying in the room. It is not required for 2, for 3 - 1200 days.
2. Upon arrival at the hotel, it turned out that there was no elevator, rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor with endless stairs due to high ceilings. A security guard helped with the suitcase upon request at the reception.
3. There was no refrigerator in the room, or rather it is, but it is a minibar. The request to free the minibar from useless alcohol was refused.
4. Teapot and mugs were provided upon request.
5. Ironing services, which were described in the price list on the table of the hotel room, were not available, but an iron and ironing board were brought free of charge.
6. Of the two air conditioners for 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, a wardrobe and a corridor, only 1 air conditioner worked. To my questions about the second air conditioner, the receptionist replied that only 1 air conditioner is required for the room and it is enough. In practice, there was nothing to breathe in the room until the temperature outside dropped to 18 °.
7. With heavy rains, which were 3 days. The room was flooded through a closed window and an enclosed balcony.
8. Instead of the two balconies promised at the booking, there was only one in the room.
9. The door to the balcony could be opened, but it can no longer be closed. The lock worked very poorly. When asked to fix the lock, they were fed breakfast about the caretaker, who would definitely come and fix it. I didn't wait for him for 7 days of vacation.
10. There was no sound insulation in the room, everything that happened on the embankment was perfectly audible in the room.
11. On the day of arrival, black hair was found in the bed. My hair is red. When I contacted the administrator, I received a response that the room was cleaned, the maids left, wait for tomorrow. She demanded new bedding, the benefit of it was at least brought and clean, she had to change it herself. When changing the bed linen, I found yellow spots on the mattress pad.
I checked with the room cleaning staff every day, every day the receptionist said that the room was cleaned and the bed linen was changed, but almost every day black hair appeared on the bed linen.
12. There was dirt and dust on the walls in the toilet, I turned to the administrator, they promised to clean it. In practice, they were cleaned on the third day, after talking directly with the maid.
13. In the bedroom, garlands of dust and cobwebs hung on the ceiling above the bed, she also informed the administrator, they were removed only on the third day, after a conversation with the maid.
14. There was black mold in the shower, showed to the receptionist and the maids, for 7 days. they did not remove it, they told about the caretaker who should cover it up. The shower did not fully close and the water fell on the bathroom floor.
15. The furniture in the room was shabby, keyholes and door jambs were broken.
16. The room description included breakfast for an additional fee of 300 rubles. In practice, there is no such thing, the administrator suggests going to the restaurant under the hotel and picking up breakfast for 300 rubles or more. There is no breakfast in the restaurant for 300 rubles. As a result, I went to another restaurant where there are such breakfasts.
17. My sister came to me for a couple of days, based on the clarifications before the vacation. I was sure that no additional payment was required, because since the price for double and single accommodation at the booking was the same, plus the staff confirmed this via whatsapp. But when my sister checked in, we were charged 2,600 per night. After an unpleasant clarification of relations and disputes, it turned out that a single stay in this wonderful suite cost about 6,300 without discounts on the price list, which was operated by the administrator, and then the director of the hotel, but no one will refund the money, because we paid through booking (no, the transfer was to their card directly). As a result, the additional payment for the accommodation of the second person was not taken, but the overpayment was not refunded.
18. The sea view that was in the room description turned out to be a view of the cafes on the first line in front of the beach.
19. You can leave the hotel ahead of time, but the hotel does not refund the money.
20. On the day of departure, the guard took a day off, so I had to lower two heavy suitcases myself. The administrator was just shrugged off.
21. Sockets fell out of the walls and hung "on snot". It was scary to use them. They promised the arrival of the caretaker, he never came. All the outlets in the rooms were near the floor or behind the furniture, some simply could not be reached. When staying together, there are not enough sockets for charging phones and watches at the same time.
22. There was a battery in the room. She was covered in stains and a thick layer of dust. The dust has been removed, there is no stain.
23. The floor covering was also stained.

The vacation is completely ruined. I highly recommend not staying at this hotel.
Considering the economic situation in the country, it is a pretty decent hotel. The rooms are modest, but clean and tidy. Soap, gel, shampoo, toothbrush are placed. If you need an iron, then they will bring it to the room with a ironing board on a call. Breakfast is included - in the cafe on the 1st floor, but there is a limit, breakfast should be within 300 rubles. For this amount, you can eat quite well, for example, fried eggs, cheesecakes and coffee. Among the disadvantages: there are no curtains in the bathroom (after taking a shower, the entire floor is wet and slippery); there was no shoe spoon in the room.
I really liked the Ritz Hotel. The location is in the very center, the necessary attractions are all nearby. The sea is also nearby. The famous Brekhalovka with the best coffee in one minute from the hotel
Get the score for a decent place! Dogs are not allowed, there is no toilet at the reception! There is no Internet at the reception! The receptionist girl was on the phone with her friend when we came in. The desire to live in this institution deteriorated after communication and an offer to read the price list
It is better to book directly.. Upon arrival, I realized that I had been charged a much larger amount for booking online services.. The hotel is retro, but in the very center.. You can live, but for an amateur..
When I was looking for a hotel, I was guided by reviews. People, don't get fooled by the 4 and 5 that put the tour. agents and other interested parties. Who wants extreme and expensive - feel free to check in and do not read the review further.
An improved standard room cost me 6.5 thousand rubles per day, the experience of booking without prior inspection was valuable. I'm sharing.
The furniture in the rooms was made during the reign of tsarism, its condition causes awe and a desire to hang a sign "do not touch with your hands". A dog or a goat can comfortably fit on the bed, it is difficult for a person to lie on the protruding springs from the mattress all night.
Falling out sockets and walls in streaks will be appreciated, I think, by everyone who visits there.
The only good thing here is the direct access to the embankment. And the fact that gypsies walk in groups on the embankment and as soon as you leave the hotel, you are immediately surrounded and begin to cram all sorts of obscenity. And if you don't give them money, then curses and insults are shouted at their backs.

A good classic hotel. High ceilings, walkways in the corridors. Super cool location. Nearby there is coffee on the eastern route - 30₽ (07.21), to eat, to walk - everything is nearby. To call the contents of the refrigerator a minibar does not turn the tongue) if the windows are on the fountain, it's a little noisy.
It's not bad if you need the epicenter of the city's events. There is a good restaurant downstairs - where it's nice to have a glass or two and enjoy delicious local cuisine
It's okay to spend the night and enjoy Lake Ritsa to your heart's content. I would update the bed linen and mattresses. Even if the furniture is the same.

We arrived at night, we were met by an administrator named Dima. the price does not match the quality , the bedding is dirty , everything is in the hair , the door to the balcony does not close . The rooms have terribly dirty carpet, which apparently cannot be cleaned. But that 's not all the flowers , when we went into the bathroom we were surprised in the form of 💩 , to which the admin said , you probably did it . Excuse me?! After we asked to clean , we were told to wait in the morning for the maid to clean, and we were also refused a request to change the room. At our request, the admin called the director, who said he didn't like it, let them move out . For a second , it 's the beginning of the first night , even with small children . At night, the lights were turned off when we were asked to turn on the generator, we were refused again, allegedly it would wake up the rest of the residents. Parking is also paid. 300 rubles from the car, for the fact that you just drive it into a shabby yard, it's a pity that you didn't take a photo of this bookcase.I do not recommend this hotel, the staff's attitude is terrible. Of the advantages, only the location.

We had a rest in July 2021 , everything is fine and fine , but the mood deteriorated at the check-out - we were asked to pay for 2 types of wines from the mini-bar - and we didn't even drink them - it's a shame , the mood dropped , conclusion - check your mini-bar at the entrance and check with the administrators at the check-out , otherwise you won 't prove anything , or immediately upon arrival, ask to empty it if you do not plan to use it, but in general the impressions of Abkhazia are wonderful, we will definitely return, but not to this hotel
The hotel building is super! The location in the very center is great! One of the advantages is that it has an electricity generator, since the lights are often turned off in Abkhazia, this is a big plus! Friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms with everything you need, refrigerator, kettle, bathrobes, bathroom, battery, air conditioning, wf is good.

We were with my husband from 03.05-05.05. Disgusting! Initially, we arrived and it turned out that the rooms are radically different from the photos in the Booking. And at the check-out they accused us that we had not paid for the room. They paid in cash, they didn't even think to ask for a check. The staff refused to show the cameras. They took me to the police station. We had every chance of being late for the airport. This is what the calculation is made for.
It was saved by the fact that relatives live in Abkhazia, who came and stopped this business!!! The police immediately took our side and let us go.
It's good that we were without a child, such stress.
Be sure to ask for a receipt, but it's better not to spoil your vacation and choose another place!!!

We've been here really a long time. Remembered forever...Summer, heat - the air conditioners do not work, there are no mosquito nets on the windows and the door to the balcony. It would not be bad to change the furniture or at least have a dry cleaning... I remember most of all - a bathroom in one room, then you have to go through two rooms to get into a room with a bathtub or a bidet (apparently those who designed and built the hotel had a very vague idea about the ownership of these devices). The service is normal, well, it's average - as I understood, the guys were severely fined for everything...
A great place to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Soviet past. Apparently, there was a cool hotel for its time) A good location, near Brekhalovka. Own parking. It was worth spending the night there once =)
The hotel is conveniently located. There are no dark shades in the room, only tulle. The streetlights illuminated the room well. There are few outlets and they are poorly located. There are no sockets by the bed. We need an extension cord, a big one. The bathroom and toilet are separate, but for some reason the bidet is in the bathroom, and there is no curtain in the bathroom.
