The stunning genre urban sculpture composition "The Postman" was installed in 2005 on City Day near the cinema "October", next to the "House of Press" and "House of the Press".
The genre urban sculptural composition "The Postman" is a figure of a postman holding a newspaper "From hand to hand", and next to it a bicycle.
The authors:
Vladimir Ivanovich Zhbanov, Belarusian sculptor.
Evgeny Alekseevich Kolchev, Belarusian sculptor, photographer.
Gradov Yuri Mikhailovich, Belarusian architect.
Legend.
You should definitely look at the newspaper, in case some kind of advertisement is waiting for you.
And then your wishes will definitely be fulfilled.
Wish fulfillment to all!
The bronze sculpture was presented to the city by the newspaper "From hand to Hand".
The grand opening took place in 2005, namely on September 9, on the City Day in a funny way. The fact is that when the traditional blanket was removed for such cases, the audience saw three postmen under it. And what was their surprise when two of them got on their bicycles and started riding around the astonished witnesses. They were actors painted with "bronze" paint. They distributed free fresh issues of the newspaper to everyone.
The charming monument is a tribute to the city postman.
Stop by him for a minute, read the press in a real format, immerse yourself in a world where every printed word was the result of a lot of work, and the postman was eagerly awaited.
The modest and almost imperceptible figure of the city postman is dear to the heart. There is some kind of non-urban unhurriedness, sedateness, intelligence in her. Therapy for a metropolitan resident living in a frenzied rhythm. And how often have you seen men with a newspaper in their hands reading enthusiastically lately? The sculpture is already evidence of the past era of paper media (or am I mistaken?)
A lovely sculpture! In general, I am very glad that there are many very interesting and unusual sculptures in Minsk. I wonder what those who rub his hand are asking for =))
Great guy! many people take pictures with him, consider him a celebrity of these parts. I've been climbing on him all my childhood, and he's not a word! that's what I mean: "patient." :)
I remember climbing it as a child, taking pictures
A cheerful man, the main thing is not to give back
If he hits back, then I advise you not to do that anymore
