The best place to eat is in a quiet and good-natured environment.
It's very tasty, the portions are huge, the prices are reasonable, the waiters are welcomed like family
The only thing is to book in advance, because of the large number of visitors, sometimes you will have to wait.
Great place, I recommend 100%
It may seem quite inconspicuous from the street, but inside there is such a cozy atmosphere, a fireplace is burning, and the lights are dim. All the dishes were delicious, and the pilaf was amazing!
We were looking for a place to eat delicious national food in Samarkand, and based on reviews and the distance from the hotel, we chose this restaurant. Right when you enter, you notice a rather specific smell in the restaurant: it feels like the carpets haven't been cleaned for a long time. The food is generally normal, but the tortillas are not fresh, even tough. The fireplace makes it cozy, but in general, this place did not make an impression. I was with my husband and two sons.
The disappointing thing is that the place is designed purely for tourists. The menu is in Russian/English only. The prices are overstated twice and the default is a 15% service fee.
The food is basic, like everywhere else, the portions are small when compared with other places.
Checks are written by hand, so check the invoice based on the total. We were shortchanged
From the cute: there is a fireplace, a nice man met and escorted to a table. We were the only visitors)
The cuisine is mediocre, made from frozen preparations. The bathroom is old and cold.
We happened to be in this cozy place, just walking by on a rainy Samarkand evening. The atmosphere seemed very sincere and authentic. There are few guests, a fireplace in the hall, pleasant service and national dishes. I recommend it to the guests and residents of Samarkand.
The interior and the smell of the restaurant reminded me of a village house. We were served by a waiter, whom we immediately dubbed "the cunning grandfather", very courteous. We ordered pilaf, manti, vegetable salad, Mashhurdu soup, khanum with meat. The order was waited for almost an hour!!! The soup was brought early, not salty at all, without any special taste. Manti and khanum are made from the same tasteless loose dough, the manti were boiled, they could not be taken with either a fork or a spoon, there was no broth in them at all, there was not enough meat. The pilaf was edible, but not salty either. We were apologized for our remark in the form of local cognac and mini chocolates.
When we were there, people, it seems, were returning some dishes. Most of the visitors are foreigners who do not know what Uzbek cuisine should be. It is a pity that they will have an impression of the dishes of this institution.
03/13.24 we visited Samarkand. After the tour, we decided to eat and go to Tashkent. We ordered: pilaf, manti with pumpkin, samsa with pumpkin, cauldron kebab , salads and wine.
I immediately warned the owners that I was a technologist in the food and meat industry and said that I would openly criticize the kitchen. But apparently the thirst for money is doing its job.
1) pilaf: heated in a microwave oven, the meat is rubber, the rice is soaked, the carrots are watery. The taste is so-so, you can't call it Samarkand pilaf
2) Manta rays: heated in a microwave oven. The dough is thin, the filling is delicate, the taste was killed by the microwave
3) samsa : thin puff pastry, delicate pumpkin filling, no taste . The microwave has done its job
4) kazan kebab: meat of a cow that has lived a long life of cattle, no potatoes
5) salads : vegetable portions are large, serving for 3
6) wine: dry white Samarkand wine. Test.
I wanted to express all this criticism to the owner's face, but after we ate, he slipped away somewhere, I guess I was ashamed in front of the guests from Moscow!
And hang a mirror in the toilet, you want to wash and tidy up from the road.
You have no right to wear the title of a restaurant with such a big name
I went in to find out if there was coffee, 30,000 answered, I say well, they haven't answered me at the moment. It's such a service.. It's better not to come in here
The dishes are very tasty and incredibly large.
In the photo, meat with vegetables (I think this is a dish for two).
Pleasant and polite waiters.

We visited the restaurant on October 14-15, 2024.
Great place!
The first time was in the evening. Since there were a lot of people, the waiting time for the order was slightly longer than usual. It's very tasty!! I liked the manti with meat very much.
On the second day we returned for pilaf. There is quite a normal portion for 1 person. Pilaf can be ordered at any time of the restaurant!
The atmosphere is very cozy, the staff is polite and attentive.
I recommend it!
Homely atmosphere and food, fast and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by the local riesling.
Nice interior, although there are no windows. They ate twice and would undoubtedly come again.
We went to the restaurant twice, as we lived opposite in the hotel and saw good reviews on tripadvisor. The first time they turned us around right away, they said there were no places with a steamed view and the hope that we would not wait. But we came the second time, which we really regretted, we were also told that there were no seats, although half of the restaurant had empty tables and that we had to wait 20 minutes. The attitude towards the guests is not optimistic, the tired bartender, he is a hostess, he is a waiter. They didn't try the kitchen. Naturally, we will not go a third time and will not recommend it.
I didn't like it. The service is good. But for such a high price tag, I expected to eat delicious. And it was bad. I will note in advance that I am not a picky customer and calmly have lunch / dinner in eateries.
The kebab turned out to be dry. There were only two small pieces of meat dangling in the dimlam. Manta rays had a strange taste - this happens when a frozen product (dough or meat) lies in the refrigerator for a long time next to other products and begins to absorb their odors.
The only thing that turned out to be really tasty was lamb in foil. Here are five points.
I would not recommend this institution to others.
We were here in February. The place is not very passable. For tourists. An empty restaurant. The menu is large and with little traffic it is difficult to have all the dishes in good quality. I think it will be much better here at the height of the season.
Pleasant atmosphere, service, not long to wait, beautiful and tasty, but a very small portion of meat (considering the amount of fat of pure meat is generally a drop)
There was a peculiar smell on the first visit, it didn't stop us. And we didn't regret it. All the dishes we ordered were delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, the fireplace complements the picture. A separate respect to the helpful waiter, whose age gives additional charm.
A small cozy family restaurant with traditional cuisine. A quiet, cozy place - just a break from the hustle and bustle of the day in the evening.
The menu is very well made - small (for two pages) but varied (local and European soups, a variety of local main dishes, salads) . Everything we've tried is very tasty.
A great place with a pleasant atmosphere. Delicious food and good service. The positions are mainly national dishes. I was pleasantly pleased with the manager who complimented us in the form of a bottle of local wine.
The main advantage of this establishment is the service. The staff is very polite and helpful. Sincere people, it's really nice. Otherwise, unfortunately, nothing particularly good. The menu is mediocre, the dishes are local, the quality is not bad, but without enthusiasm. In terms of drinks, everything is local and everything, as a result, is not very(
My family and I were near this place, according to reviews, we decided to stop by for lunch. As a result, everyone was hungry. The food is terrible. The kebabs were made only of chicken and beef, the meat was rubber. The salads are probably from yesterday. They left 200 thousand sums after drinking tea and eating a flatbread. I do not recommend it.
The food is normal, not wow. The manta rays were brought by the coveted ones. Prices are like in decent establishments in the city.
The cafe would like to make repairs and update the furniture, otherwise it's sad to watch..
It's just great! Fast service, delicious food. There were no seats, but the manager quickly resolved the issue, hospitably. It's quite a popular place. The interior is decent
Delicious, fast service, inexpensive (slightly more expensive than in cheap cafes on the outskirts), pleasant atmosphere, there is a fireplace with a real fire
Maybe I was unlucky, but it didn't work. Saturday at about one o'clock in the afternoon. It's kind of lunchtime. But as the young people who are there explained to me, it is unlikely that they will open it
A pleasant place. Very tasty Samarkand pilaf! And green tea with mint! Hospitable hosts, warm atmosphere

A very cozy cafe. They gave us a taste of local wines before ordering them, the food was brought quickly! It was January 2nd and almost all establishments were closed, but this restaurant was working! Moreover, there was pilaf and manta rays available. Of course, the flatbread was cold, but in general, the guys did well! They fed, watered, explained that the kitchen works at 40% on holidays - everyone has a holiday!
The food is delicious, an inexperienced waiter got caught and made a slight mistake with the order. It's quite hot on the veranda. Maybe I would have come back again.
