The monastery and the road to it are stunningly beautiful. One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen in my life. If your visit coincides with the wedding, be prepared for difficult parking.

This monastery complex, coupled with the surrounding landscapes, struck me the most in Armenia! Required to visit! It's very beautiful! It is surrounded by red rocks, which makes it impossible to take your eyes off and stop taking pictures!
The history of the temple is also rich, the bas-relief with the Virgin Mary sitting on a carpet (Muslim) is interesting - this is a trick of the Armenians so that the Muslim nomadic tribes who made endless raids did not destroy the temple! A very interesting fact!

A beautiful 13th century monastery in a picturesque location. The oldest church here was built back in the 9th-10th centuries. Interesting bas-reliefs and tombs, and the history of the monastery is interesting. Look into the well and see the achkars.

For me, the most beautiful Armenian monastery of the Middle Ages. It is mandatory for those who visit Armenia. But at noon, try not to go in the summer, because because of the heat, not everything can be felt.

One of the favorite places in Armenia. The monastery is surrounded by red rocks and mountains. Amazing atmosphere and acoustics on the second floor of the monastery, where narrow external steps lead (legs are shaking, a little scary, adrenaline, everything). It's very simple, stone, no pathos. And very close to God.

A place that looks absolutely amazing. You can still look for such a riot of colors. The scenery around is simply bombastic. The monastery has been restored and is in good shape. Very photogenic. It is very interesting in the temple on the second floor, but if you are not distinguished by some dexterity, you should think a hundred times before going up there. You can climb up, but the descent from there is much more difficult. I would also like to mention the well-made bas-reliefs, khachkars and tombstones.

Stunningly beautiful landscapes, interesting architecture. Two good advices:
1) do not try to wear heels on the tour, a skirt is also not the best idea;
2) before climbing to the second floor of the church, think about how you will descend from there.
