There are very few people. We had a flight at 13:50. The check-in and inspection took place faster than ever in my life. There are a few shops, McDonald's, Costa on the second floor by excavator. There is a drinking fountain where you can fill a bottle with water. It is located in a recess to the left of the entrance to the women's bathroom. This toilet is opposite the car, at the end of the row of shops. Or you can buy water from a vending machine for 3 dirhams 0.5 liters. Union Pay RSHB does not accept cards.
One of the disadvantages of the airport is that the metro does not reach here. We took a taxi. Take the ones with the RTA symbol on the side. According to the counter. We got 90 dirhams to Dubai Marina. You can take the F55 bus to the Expo 2020 metro station, then to your station. There are only two branches, red and green.
I flew to Dubai several times. And the very first flight was to this airport. Compared to Dubai International Airport, it is very quiet and peaceful here, no fuss. Dutifrey is very cool, there's a lot of choice. I realized that I would only choose flights to this airport.
There's plenty of room to wait for boarding. Everything is clean, everything is clear.
Very friendly staff.
There is a taxi stand very close, they don't drive in circles, they choose the meekest way.
Everything is great, without the imposition of services.
It's a good airport. The main thing is not as busy as in the center of Dubai. The only thing is to go further to it, but the road is quite comfortable. Good departure duty. Very small on arrival. There is an exchange upon arrival. You can immediately exchange dollars or euros for dirhams. The only thing missing is the food courts. One before the control area and one after. Still, it's not enough. And there is no children's room. Anyway, I haven't seen her. Otherwise, everything is fine.
A relatively small airport. There is a small range of perfumes in duty free, the most popular ones are quickly running out.
Comfortable waiting for the flight. Friendly staff, always ready to help.
We flew in and out of this airport several times. Small, cozy, everything is very convenient. You go through everything quickly everywhere. Everything you need is there. And where to eat and Dutch fries. We quickly issued a tax free. There aren't many people.
Huge (of course smaller than DXB), modern, conveniently located (especially for Dubai Marina, Jumeirah or Dubai Expo), as practice has shown (04/16/2024) - better protected from the vagaries of nature…
But at the same time, the airport is completely empty. And empty in every sense of the word. Empty free parking lots, empty border crossing posts (one or two out of 30 may work), the same with check-in for a flight. There is a huge queue at one working counter. In the years since EXPO2020, this air harbor has not yet been "promoted". All hope is on Emirates, which seems to be going to move their base there!
Friendly staff.
Everything is clean and tidy.
It is quite comfortable and cozy .
There is a cafe.
Prices, it seemed to me, are lower than at airports in Russia, by 30 percent.
The airport is no frills, but large and convenient. There are a couple of coffee shops and a McDuck for food, there is a good dutik. Large spaces and lots of chairs. The nice thing is that the floor is carpeted.
Nice airport, clean. There are charging stations for gadgets. Normal Duty free. There is free water. Lots of chairs. A childhood dream came true to watch a plane landing and taking off. It's all in the palm of your hand
By the way, the prices in duty free will be pleasantly pleased. The staff is very polite and attentive. And find another public place with a red carpet. It is very pleasant to be here. There is a McDonald's on the second floor, you can't stay hungry
Excellent airport, large waiting rooms and plenty of seating. Clean and spacious. The cafe is not enough and you can run into a queue. But in general, the impression is good.
The airport is good. Small, but clean. Duty free is also small, not the same as in a large airport.
The business hall is also small.
And such an unpleasant aunt walks around the hall and almost looks into bags so that someone doesn't put something from the hall with them.😅😅😅 In front of our eyes, some of the guests began to turn out bags of French fries to check if they had taken a coke. The rest of the guests were uncomfortable. Well, in general, this is somehow unusual for the Emirates. Hopefully, this aunt is no longer working in the business lounge)))
But otherwise, of course, everything is on the level! Just like everyone else in the UAE!
A large, new and modern Dubai airport. It is not heavily loaded with people. The location of the airport is not convenient enough, it is only close to the Dubai Marina area. There are many more enclosed spaces, most likely they will be shops, From the food outlets we saw only McDonald's. Duty Free has Russian-speaking staff.
It's not a big but cozy airport, there are enough places, duty free is excellent, prices are.
There are many places for the charger, both with a USB connection and with a USB port, which is very important with children.
The toilets are clean, paper, soap, everything is in abundance
Unfortunately, the arrival and departure from the UAE was at this airport. There is nothing particularly bad to say, but it is not cozy, it somehow resembles our Domodedovo, of course it is cooler, but it reminds. Empty, with poor navigation. It's not possible to get lost there, but you still need to do a couple of laps before you figure out where to go to eat and go to the toilet. For some reason, the flight check-in was not displayed on the scoreboard, it was impossible to register online by order of Ural Airlines, apparently. But everything went fine. It bothered me a little and made me laugh at the TaxFree design. Everything is extremely simple and funny: before registration, I went to the counter with a return form icon. My aunt demanded my phone, I thought the photo would be viewed with compromising evidence (in the UAE, you can't record accidents, fights, murders, drunks on your phone, well, in general, anything that can spoil the picture of Babylon). But this woman deftly got on Instagram and signed me up for the port account. What the hell did I need it for, I didn't understand, but I didn't argue, otherwise suddenly the money wouldn't be returned. Then I saw that she was beating everyone up like that. There was no inspection of things, except to look at the box of apple daison and tiffany appliances, in general, everything that is expensive. I looked at the checks with one eye and gave them all and let them go. It takes 3-4 minutes for TaxFree to register. In the clean zone, they simply gave out rubles and dollars without checking anything. Buying something more expensive than 270 Dirhams, when you register at the TaxFree store, you automatically get into the Emirates database. And therefore, as soon as they see your passport, you can immediately see somewhere in their computer how much you have made in the store for a refund and how much money you need to return. everything is simple. In the clean area there is a small Duty Free: cosmetics, alcohol and a pair of blouses and small things. The food on the ground floor is terrible, there is a McDonald's on the second floor, there is also a business lounge for money and a couple of toilets. There are seats with sockets all over the port, but nothing works for charging, only on the racks you can charge something. It is better to get to the check-in upon arrival and leave the port by taxi (from 120 Derham along the entire length of the hotels where the metro runs). I didn't use the buses, there's a schedule and I have to wait. In general, it is dreary. If possible, then of course you need to choose another well-known Dubai Airport, but if I was given tickets by Ural Airlines, then there are no options. And yes! When passing through customs on arrival, you need to ask the customs officer for free SIM cards, they are with him, but they do not give them for some reason. So the "Givemiplizsimcard" is mandatory, the SIM card is free, there is enough GB for one day to determine the connection, depending on the planned time of stay in the country. The port is like a port, not gloomy, dull, but clean and there are toilets. I took bottles of water with me, they did not take them away at the control, so my water flew with me. Well, good luck to everyone!!
A beautiful airport, small and convenient, everything is clear. I took the service of a marhaba with a chair, special thanks for the sensitive attitude. They were delivered directly to the plane. The Marhaba lounge provides an opportunity to spend time comfortably before departure
The service is excellent. Apparently there are few flights at the airport, so it is very spacious and even deserted. Therefore, all procedures are very fast. I especially liked the automated contactless passport control
The normal port. It is still being completed.
But, it is directly felt that the concept is for inexpensive (in terms of material condition) tourists.
In general, everything is done in the UAE, perfectly organized, clean and fast.
A small, cozy, clean, peaceful airport. The staff is polite. I liked the store with local goods, by the way, the prices for dates are almost the same as at the market, so you can buy what you forgot at the airport.
Nice airport, everything is clean. Contactless passport control. Everything is clear and fast. Duty free is not big. There is a McDonald's, you can have a snack, unfortunately there are no other cafes, but this is a trifle.
A small airport in the distance from Dubai. There are almost no flights, so there are very few people, everything happens quickly and without pandemonium. The disadvantage is that there is nowhere else to have a snack before departure except for McDonald's and Costa Coffee. There is only one business lounge and there is no access to it under the usual premium programs. Duty Free has a fairly decent assortment, there are almost all brands.
A small, modern, calm airport with a good road leading to it.
Unlike DXB, there are always almost no people and free parking.
If there is a choice of flights, then I recommend only arriving here and departing only from here.
A beautiful and modern airport. Everything is clean. It will be difficult to get confused, everything is clear.
It is easy to navigate to the entrance and exit.
There is a convenient steep parking nearby.
Great convenient airport! There is a huge parking lot near it, which is almost empty as of December 2024)
So far, there are few people here, but as my son, who lives in Dubai, said, this airport will become the central one in the coming years. When I arrived, there were 3 more flights from Russia, somehow at the same time. This is what created a disadvantage: there was a long queue at passport control (not all terminals were working), at this historical moment. But when flying to Moscow, passport control was electronic. In principle, it is convenient, although it was a little unusual for me.
This is not the largest airport in the emirates, but the size of everything is impressive. For comparison. More than 300 terminals for passenger check-in, identity verification with robotic technology, careful handling of luggage, I saw how the movers work carefully, no smells, stuffiness in the airport building. It's not like that with us. It all started with a bus that boarded more than a hundred people from an airplane, two awesome air-conditioned buses were served in the emirates, and strange questions like what were you doing in the UAE, what's in the date boxes, began to be asked in the window. When will our relatives have smiles on their faces and comfortable conditions for air passengers?
An excellent airport, a comfortable waiting area, shops, a place to eat, as the airport is small, there are not many people in it. The staff is responsive, everything is clear and accessible.
The airport is new, there are few people inside, so you can wait for your flight in fairly comfortable conditions, having quietly found a place for yourself. On the downside, it's a long way from the city, but it takes 50 minutes by car from the center of Dubai.
It's a good airport. Clean, very spacious departure lounges, there is always a place to sit down.
The only thing is that it is very far to get to it, but this is no longer the fault of the airport itself. Someday the city will reach him too :)
It's a great airport. The only negative is that it's far from the center. If you are filming in Marina, then take the metro for half an hour to Expo 2020 station and from there take the F55 bus for another 40 minutes. Do not forget that 7.5 dirhams should remain on the card in order for you to travel on the bus (if less, then after leaving the subway you can buy a ticket for 6 dirhams from the same card at the ticket office, my wife and I had 6.5 each, we were charged 6 from there and given tickets. + there is a good business lounge, immediately after passing the checks.
I will really like the airport! I'll collect everything and say a prayer quietly, very touching for a tourist. Perfect atmosphere and order. Quick registration of tax-free services.
Nice new airport in Dubai. Unloads the main one. There are few people. Everything is free. It's beautifully organized. The most ecstatic thing is clean toilets with hygienic showers! That's what a Muslim country means! And there's no smell.
Of course, this is not the central airport of Dubai, there are no expensive and interesting installations, many boutiques, etc. But there is a lot of space and few people (mostly Russian-speaking people, because the main flights are from Russia). There is so much space that children can arrange suitcase races (which is exactly what our children were doing). The airport is more than intuitive. Upon arrival at the control, they immediately divide the queue with and without children. An adult's face is scanned, which allows for more rapid control in the future. Upon arrival, they give out a free SIM card, which is valid for exactly one day after activation - convenient. After passing the control, there are shops and currency exchange offices. There are free pump rooms with drinking water at the airport. You can get to the city by public transport (bus + metro) or by taxi. The NOL card (travel card) can be purchased at the store (see photo). The price is 25 dirhams, of which 19 remain on the map - this is enough to get to anywhere in Dubai. The bus goes to the metro station (at night to Ibn Battuta, from 6:00 am to EXPO 2020). The transition from the bus to the subway is very clear, it does not cause difficulties.
About taxis - municipal taxis (with blue and red roofs) are on duty near the airport - they are cheaper than calling through the app.
The departure area is also clear and operational (due to low passenger traffic). The waiting chairs are comfortable. Minus - we boarded through the bus - there were no teletraps either for arrival or departure. In general, I liked the airport because there are few passengers, a lot of space and everything is clear.
Wonderful impressions of DWC Al Maktoum Airport, named after the ruling dynasty of sheikhs. Convenient location, quick passport control on the retina of the eye, looked at the monitor, and a second later the surname and first name are displayed in Latin letters, come in.
The waiting room on the 2nd floor is huge, with comfortable chairs, empty, no crowd is observed. The duty free zone is small, prices are high, souvenirs are solid - camels and Burj khalifs, perfume - very high prices, whiskey for the promotion 2 for the price of 1. Carpet, perfect cleanliness everywhere, toilets are contactless, with a shower! There is a small, almost empty cafe. My score is -5 points!
P.S.We had an indus transfer from Sharjah, it took 1 hour and 5 minutes to drive, just in case, add 20 minutes for traffic jams if you fly in the 2nd half of the day.
We flew from Dubai to St. Petersburg.
There was a flight delay of 3 hours.
There is only ONE cafe with sandwiches and all kinds of dry food for the entire airport, up to the check-in points. By the way, after all the controls, it's not much either... (poppy seeds, Costa and draft beer). They ate in the poppy afterwards.
By the way, there were three terminals in Maktoum that were not connected to each other. And most importantly, the composition of shops and cafes is very different depending on the terminal. From our terminal (the number was not written), they flew mainly towards the Russian Federation and some other third countries)) well, in general, the meaning is clear further)) Half of the stores are not being renovated. In duty shops, the shelves with cosmetics are simply empty. What a horror!!! Even the dhb terminal, from where the flydubai flies, does not seem so flawed.
For the flight delay, McDonald's provided a drink for free as compensation, and thanks for that))
There is everything for a comfortable waiting for your flight. Business hall for 5+. There are many different shops. It is not hot indoors. Considering that there are many Russian flights, you feel at home :)
Very far from the city. If you take public transport from the center, you will have to make several transfers. If you take a taxi, then prepare from 4,500 to 6,500 rubles. It is spacious inside, there are many check-in counters, there are automatic passport control counters. After the passport control area, there is a small duty free with a wide assortment. There are several cafes, McDonald's. You can take food with you on the flight if you suddenly fly to Moscow. You even need to take it. Necessarily. 5.5 hours in victory without power, it's still an adventure.
A small and understandable airport. There are duty-free shops, a huge parking lot, a cafe and a lot of places to wait. There's definitely enough for everyone to sit down and comfortably wait for their flight.
Currently (not completed yet) It is a compact and cozy airport. There were no problems with tax free. The airport staff was very polite. There are several cafes and fast food outlets, which is certainly not enough. We also did not get into the business lounge, as it was overloaded, but this did not affect our impressions and mood in any way.
It's a wonderful airport. It wasn't big with lovely carpets in the waiting room, it was so cozy. Everyone is very polite, biometric passport control, just attach your passport and look at the camera and the aisle. There is a dutik.
I was very pleased with the responsiveness of all the employees I contacted on the day of arrival and on the day of departure. As in principle, and the hospitality of local and non-local foreigners in Dubai. Why foreigners? Yes, because I talked to Russians there 2 times, always sour, dissatisfied faces, arrogant communication. My God, fellow citizens, when will it be easier for you? There is a cloud in the shale from a lousy guess and when asked how to get to the beach, it makes me feel "I didn't go to the free one" to be like that. I am often ashamed of my fellow citizens abroad. And the airport and the city are high
The airport is like everywhere else. But the location is not very convenient. To get to the city, I had to travel 1.5 hours in a crowded bus to the nearest metro station 2020 expo. There are exchangers at the airport in the baggage claim area, which is not profitable at all. There is an exchanger at the exit after the green corridor, where the exchanger is already close to the city ones.
It was the first time I flew out of this airport, on the 3rd, a small duty, there is little choice, but they accept rubles in cash. (I compare it with the main airport, because there are many shops, restaurants, etc.)
Wi-fi is working, there is a smoking room.
I didn't like the fact that people walk in front of the entrance asking to transfer iPhones and Dubai chocolate! Be careful, because you know where the free cheese is
A modern, large airport! But the departure area is very modest, except there is nowhere to eat at McDonald's, one Duty-Free store and basically everything... Dubai's main airport is still very, very far away!
A small airport. But the staff is very friendly. There is a good selection of perfumes in Duty Free. There are several cafes on the 2nd floor. You can buy delicious rolls, sandwiches and salads on the plane.
A cozy small airport, with good Moscow prices for food and drinks. Drinks and snacks at the vending machine cannot be paid in cash in dirhams, only by card (our cards do not work). Mostly flights from Russia, CIS countries and a bit of Europe.
The airport is relatively small, in general everything is fast, and baggage check-in and passport control.
Of the disadvantages, there was only one personal security checkpoint and there was a crowd of people in this place, they didn't "dig up" the volume of water with them, everyone had 0.5, everyone was allowed through ...
Duty free is small at the moment, but some departments are still under construction.
The relatively new Dubai airport. There are not very many flights, for this reason, passport and customs control will last quickly. There is a Duty free zone where you can buy something. There is an exchange and a smoking room. It takes 40-50 minutes to get to Dubai. Have a good rest, everyone.
It's a long way from the center. If you want to get from it by public transport, you will have to tinker. It's better to take a taxi. As for the airport itself, it is very spacious. I quickly went through everything and calmly waited for the landing.
Convenient airport, spacious. Everything passed quickly. You can immediately exchange dollars for dirhams. The course is almost like in the city. There is a duty free. If you need alcohol, you can buy it.
Large parking lot. The staff is very loyal.
There are McDonald's and other cafes in the departure area.
