There are few shops and cafes in the first area of stay from Abu Dhabi, all are expensive, only Starbucks coffee. Our flight was canceled for a day, during the waiting period, airport staff were not allowed to lie on chairs, sit with eyes closed (in English they said leave, you will come tomorrow).

A huge modern hub airport. I spent a total of 8 hours here waiting for a connecting flight. After Domodedovo and Pulkovo, the airport seems to be just a giant. It takes 20-30 minutes to get from one wing to the other. The temperature inside is about +22 degrees, maybe less. It's scary to imagine how much electricity is needed to maintain such a temperature inside when the outside is below +40. The duty free zone is just huge, you can buy anything: Victoria's Secrets underpants, and an iPhone. Gazprom's Unionpay card worked everywhere. If you pay in cash in dollars, then the change from dollars is given in dirhams.
