We spent two unforgettable days in Samarkand, namely at the Legend Hotel. The atmosphere is warm and homely, the hospitable host Aziz met late in the evening with hot tea, and saw off close relatives just as late. The score is 10 out of 10. Thanks to all the staff for the delicious breakfasts, for their attention and care. I recommend it 100%%
An old house. Full of atmospheric features. Mulberry in the yard, a collection of tubes. A hospitable host. Plentiful breakfasts. Carpets in the rooms. We were very satisfied. This is exactly authentic and pleasant
The hotel may be interesting, like an old house and courtyard, but..study the reviews carefully- it's okay for the owners, without warning in advance, to declare on the spot that the room is not ready for any reason! That is, we booked this hotel a month in advance, arrived in the evening by taxi with suitcases - and they told us that they could not check in..Like, there's another hotel nearby..thank you! In fact, we are even glad that we have settled in another one..after my truthful review of the Booking, the inadequate owner wrote to Telegram to delete the review..
Not a hotel, but a miracle. Thank you very much to the hosts for their hospitality! Thanks to Aziz, his mother and others for their care, delicious breakfasts, and help with the organization of recreation🙏🏼 We will be happy to come back again and more than once! And we will be happy to send all our friends :) We are very glad that we found this wonderful place.
A wonderful hotel with a homely atmosphere. Hospitable host, very friendly staff. An authentic courtyard with many lovingly collected rarities. We will be glad to return!
We lived in this lovely hotel for 5 days, very friendly staff, the owner of the Azis is very kind and animatronic! Thank you all very much for the reception! We will miss you and hope for a new meeting!!! The food is very tasty! I advise everyone!!!
They told the legend about the evil booking.
I booked accommodation through booking more than a month before the trip. The day before the trip, I contacted the owners, discussed the time of arrival, everything is OK.
The next day we arrive at 10 a.m., we arrive at the hotel, and we are informed that there are no places. Poo-poo-poo.
Well, it happens, we thought. There are some problems with booking, limits and bookings have fallen off. But now I see stable reviews here that this is a standard situation for them, and all year round.
The hostess found us another place to live, but the cost is 25% more expensive. As a result, they found an alternative themselves and have already successfully settled in.
At the same time, when we were there, she was still looking for a replacement apartment for a bunch of guests on the spot on the day of their arrival.
Who likes to take risks — good luck)
A wonderful and colorful courtyard not far from Bibi-Khanim and the local Arbat - Kerimov Street. Very friendly and hospitable host Aziz, a three-hundred-year-old mulberry tree in the yard and a red dog. I really liked it, it's authentic. Of course, there were no televisions or air conditioners, but it was fine.
It's just super!!! National flavor, a three-hundred-year-old mulberry tree in the courtyard. Of course, this is not a European hotel, but it is so soulful!!!
A clear colorful place, a real old Samarkand. The tree in the yard is 300 years old.
Clean rooms, delicious pilaf, friendly host. If you want to experience ancient Samarkand, you are definitely here.
Everything is great..Thank you.
I stayed at this hotel, booked through booking. I read the previous reviews, and of course, I was afraid that the reservation would be canceled. But no, everything is fine.
They were settled earlier, without additional charges. There was a room available.
The hotel is very interesting. Very authentic, a lot of antiques, many elements of decoration from the Soviet period have been preserved. The hotel has a history, and the owner, Aziz, loves to tell and show everything.
It is very hospitable, all the residents communicate with each other, because there is a cot in the center of the hotel, and everyone gathers for breakfast and dinner.
A good breakfast, not a buffet, but some kind of homemade one.
Few rooms are available now, and the hotel is being expanded.
When choosing a hotel, keep in mind that this is a place where you can experience the flavor of Uzbekistan, it is not a modern hotel with a star rating and a standard set of services.
Here you will find yourself like relatives in Uzbekistan.
The worst hotel experience!
I have been working in tourism since 2018 and interacting with this hotel is the worst experience of all time! I do not know what kind of breakfasts, beds and whether the rooms are clean. I don't know about this because my reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival!
I booked a hotel for the group for the MAY holidays. People have made the payment, bought tickets, and everything is ready for the tour. And then I decide once again to clarify whether everything is in order with the contractors and write, including to the hotel.
- What are your dates again?
The manager answered me. And after clarifying the dates, he told the story that the hotel owner took a group of Frenchmen on the same dates and they occupied everything. There are no places for us!
No apologies, no regrets. They offered instead some kind of hotel next to the 3.2 rating and reviews that are just scary to read.
As a result, we lost a large amount of money because we had to book a more expensive hotel.
I 'll bet you 1 point . I'll explain. I booked a room by phone two days before arrival, as I realized later it was the father of a young guy who runs everything there. The day before my arrival, I clarified and everything was confirmed to me. When I arrived and wanted to check in , I was told that there were no places . The day before, all rooms were handed over to the French through booking. I went to the booking office and made a reservation, received confirmation. I showed the guy, he said that there were no places anyway. I offered to spend the night with my neighbors and check in with them the next day. It was very insulting to be treated unfairly. As a result, I rented a hotel in the center, behind the Registan and not far from the Siab bazaar. I was satisfied . Everything was within walking distance and came out cheaper. I must say right away that the Legend hotel is located on the outskirts of the city and it would make it very difficult to walk around Samarkand.
Stayed with my wife on 22-23.09 for one night. A very atmospheric, authentic hotel! Aziz and his wife are very hospitable people, thank them for that! I definitely recommend this hotel!!!
A wonderful authentic place for lovers of cultural values. The house is a museum with real antiques. Delicious breakfasts with national pastries. Very clean, there are places to relax in the courtyard. The owner Aziz and his assistant are very pleasant, hospitable people, pleasant to communicate with. Next time we will only stay here
A great place, we will definitely come back again. Stylish, beautiful, beautiful beds and blankets that you drown in. And the location is great to get into the atmosphere of the city.
I was with my wife and daughter for the first time in Uzbekistan, stayed in this beautiful place, I really liked everything . Everyone is very polite, and I think we 'll come back here again
We have booked and received confirmation from the booking office. On the day of arrival, they write that they cannot check in. This is the first time I've seen this in 15 years of traveling
This is a wonderful hotel! I've never seen so much history in one place, especially in a hotel! Friendly hosts! Delicious and original breakfast. We had breakfast under a bicentennial mulberry tree! With so many antiques, the cleanliness in the rooms is sterile! The location is convenient, you can walk to the main square. Nearby is the Bibi Khanum Mosque. We were impressed. It is a very emotional and colorful place.
Now we are relaxing in this hotel! This is a place for seasoned travelers! Hospitable hosts! The hotel is an old Jewish house! The breakfasts are good!
Someone wrote that it was cold, our room had underfloor heating, so we didn't freeze.A very soulful place! We walked everywhere! Samarkand is a fairy tale!
Thanks to Aziz and Raim!
Nice private guest house, in the old Jewish quarter of Samarkand. It's not far from the center. A very ethnographically good place. There are disadvantages, but it's nothing.
Those who were born in the USSR and grew up will be disappointed. The complete feeling of living in an abandoned house where the owner's hand is not visible, the windows do not close, the glasses fall out (they repaired themselves), the furniture is broken (the doors fall off), there is nothing to hang a towel on in the bathroom, the air conditioners do not work normally, etc., etc. it takes a long time to list.

We booked through booking, arrived and were told that there were no places and offered a hotel much more expensive. We booked for the May holidays, the day before arrival we confirmed the reservation, but in fact at the time of arrival there were no apologies and just a refusal to check in.

The owner is ***! We had a prepaid(!) the reservation, but he resold it to those who arrived later and paid more. He tried to deceive us by telling us that he no longer works with expedia and knows nothing about our booking, offered to check in tomorrow morning and spend the night in another hotel. I took him to the terrible cheap Hotel El Emir next door. In the morning, he offered to wait another day. As we later learned, this is a popular divorce scheme, when you pay for a good hotel, and then, out of desperation and lack of places in the season, you live in a second cheap hotel, which is connected with the owner. It's just a shame for such an attitude. At the same time, the owner did not even apologize (!) and did not hide that we were an annoying "headache". In the end, we found another one and left. There are many normal large hotels in the city, the old town is peculiar and inconvenient. An extra couple of minutes to some of the attractions are not worth choosing these small hotels of scammers
This colorful authentic place is worth visiting for art lovers, there are so many details for attention and admiration. Those who love vintage and history. Breakfast from the heart
We booked through booking, but when we arrived there, we were horrified. The photo does not correspond to reality, maybe once it looked like in the photo, but now everything has fallen into disrepair, dampness, mustiness. There are no services specified in the description.
+ The hotel is located in the former Jewish quarter. Gypsies live there now. When they went there begging for money, they started throwing stones on their way back.
We were ready for anything, but we didn't expect this, so we went to look for another hotel.
All the old rooms are uncomfortably furnished than they could be cold in them. I do not recommend their good only the owner of the hotel and the location, and so avoid at every opportunity.
Respect meets the owner well. We arrived earlier, accepted no additional payments. The rooms are not all falling off frozen. It's cold to swim. Tomorrow is delicious.
We wanted an authentic hotel, but we got rooms without locks, a room without heating, poor wi-fi, a drunken manager who did not respond adequately to requests to solve the problems of a group of guests.
The hotel is located in the old town, in an old house. The exterior, the courtyard and all rooms in the hotel are decorated with national antiquity, a lot of original antique utensils. It is very beautiful, there is a feeling of being in an oriental fairy tale.
