Review of Glow Salon (Alanya)
I've been visiting Glow Salon on a weekly basis for a month, and I've been here about five times. Initially, the salon left a pleasant impression, largely due to individual craftsmen who really work at a high level.
I would like to sincerely thank the manicure master Alexandra and the hairdresser Irina. These specialists are real professionals in their field. They work precisely, accurately, with attention to detail and the customer. The quality of their services is consistently high, and it was thanks to them that I continued to visit the salon, despite some observed nuances in the organization.
However, unfortunately, the overall impression is spoiled by the extremely disrespectful attitude on the part of the administration and the cosmetologist.
Last week, on March 27, 2025, I was booked for coloring, manicure and facial massage. After completing the first two procedures, I was informed that the cosmetologist was ill. No one warned me in advance, did not call, did not offer alternatives — they just confronted me with the fact. The entire staff's reaction was limited to a formal "sorry."
Today, April 01, 2025, the situation has repeated itself. I came for a manicure, pedicure and a cosmetologist. I was in the salon for two hours (getting manicures and pedicures), and none of the staff — neither the receptionist nor the cosmetologist — came up to me to warn me about the 20-minute delay. I found out about this only after I approached myself with the question why I was not invited to the specialist's office. This is absolutely unacceptable. At a minimum, this situation should have been discussed with me in advance — suggest postponing, agreeing on a wait, or finding a solution. All I was told was that the client was late before you, so you wait. And one more thing, I emphasized in correspondence when making an appointment at the salon that my time is limited and it is important for me that the reception be strictly on time.
Cosmetologist Anastasia has been demonstrating a lack of punctuality, respect and understanding of customer service for the second time in a row. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this specialist.
When I tried to clarify the employee's last name, the receptionist said she didn't know it. When I was already specifically indignant about everything that was happening, I was casually told. This is puzzling and calls into question not only the quality of administration, but also the overall level of personnel management in the salon.
As a person who has worked successfully in the hospitality and service sector for many years in senior positions, including in the SMT Industry, I perfectly understand how customer service should work, what personal responsibility is, and how important it is to follow quality standards. Unfortunately, these principles are clearly absent in the Glow salon:
— there is no respect for the client's time,
— there is no system communication,
— there are no attempts to correctly resolve situations.
This was my last visit to Glow. Despite the fact that the salon does have strong specialists (thanks again to Irina and Alexandra), the overall attitude, organization and approach leave an extremely unpleasant impression.
I do not recommend Glow to those who value their time, respect and professionalism.
I hope my review will be useful to those who choose a salon in Alanya.
