We did not stay at this hotel, we went to have breakfast, because we were waiting for check-in at another hotel. We were with a child. The impressions of the breakfast were not good. Breakfast consisted of different cuisines. Personally, I made an order for Abkhazian cuisine. What was stated in the photo on the menu and actually two big differences. Two cheesecakes or pancakes were not fresh (I like to cook pastries myself, so I know they are not fresh) there was cheese on top. But the cheese is cut into such slices, as if sliced "will do just fine." In general, we were hungry, the children ordered another breakfast, the result is the same. The cost of any breakfast is 400 rubles. Maybe it happened that day, maybe other days everything was much better, I don't know, but the waiters weren't very friendly either. There was some kind of irritability and discontent on their faces. In general, we went to eat somewhere else.

Unfortunately, we were not in the department itself. But walking along the embankment, we were tempted by their restaurant at the hotel. Awesome restaurant. Everything was very, very tasty. The prices are very budget, which cannot be said about the dishes. Everything is very tasty. There were a lot of people. When we arrived, there were only 2 tables available. Nevertheless, we were served very quickly. The dishes were brought very quickly. Special admiration for lemonade Dam. Not really tasty and beautiful. I recommend you to visit.

Awesome hotel! We had a rest with my husband, I want to come here again! They give bathrobes, slippers and hygiene kits. Spacious rooms by the sea with a balcony where you can sit and dream! And how nice it is to fall asleep to the sound of the waves! A huge bed, an abundance of pillows, warm blankets. Very nice bathroom. And the room even has a wardrobe! Breakfast is included in the price. In general, "Dam" loves its guests! ❤️

A review of the cafe DAM. More precisely, about breakfast. They will be vigilant, they offer ready-made breakfasts: Russian, English, etc. For example, English: 2 fried eggs with bacon, 2 toast, butter, a salad of half a tomato and a quarter of a cucumber. That's it!!! And for that 400 rubles!!! And if you order dishes from the menu, then: scrambled eggs from 3 eggs-120 rubles, salad 250 grams- 200 rubles, 3 pancakes-90 rubles.
The review is about this: not a pleasant aftertaste from the divorce: there has never been a combo more expensive than retail dishes.

An excellent, comfortable hotel with European service. Our room faced the sea - just a fairy tale! A spacious room with everything you need - from a bathrobe and shower gels to a kettle and a mini bar with drinks and snacks. the sound insulation is good. The view of the sea is gorgeous, we woke up and fell asleep to the sound of the waves. The staff of both the hotel and the restaurant deserves special thanks: everyone is so friendly, hospitable, and welcoming! After a busy day of walking, it was very pleasant to return to a clean room, where fresh towels were brought every day and the evening magic lights were turned on! I would also like to mention the service of food delivery from the restaurant to the room - sometimes used, very convenient, thank you for this opportunity. The restaurant deserves special attention: we liked the breakfast collection, we tried almost everything. Well, the lunches and dinners on the menu are all very tasty, the prices are reasonable, the portions are large. Be sure to try the lamb kebab - it's gorgeous. Chicken in a pot with a lid made of dough - great! And be sure to treat yourself to a locally made limoncello made from local lemons - there are no words! The hotel is very conveniently located: we went for a walk on foot in both directions of the embankment, a street with restaurants is nearby, and shops are also nearby on the other side. There's a taxi service around the corner. We walked around the city - with pleasure. Now we dream of coming to DAM in the summer. A great place in Sukhum. Great rooms, just a great place in terms of cuisine and overall location, literally by the sea. In addition to a good selection of dishes of Abkhazian and European cuisine, the restaurant really liked the exposition of artifacts from the bottom of the sea and vintage items. The staff is very polite and attentive. Dam is not considered a very cheap place at prices, but they cannot be called sky-high either. The quality and convenience fully justify everything.

Great hotel, on the waterfront. The friendly girls at the reception will always help and prompt. Towels and bathroom accessories are cleaned and changed every day, bed linen every three days. Very clean, air conditioning and refrigerator are working properly. There are few rooms, it's quiet. There's a great restaurant downstairs. You can have a delicious breakfast - a varied assortment of breakfasts, as well as a delicious lunch and dinner. The prices are affordable, only the presence of 10% in the bill for service is confusing, but in all establishments it is so. By the way, breakfast is included in the price. The sea is clean, the beach is pebbly, there are sun loungers, but for a fee. We recommend it! Sukhum itself is a beautiful city, of course many buildings require restoration, but it is pleasant to walk along the embankment in the evening. Prices in the city are low. You can buy fruits, cheese, meat and wine at the market. Taxis in the city are around 150p, minibuses and trams run. There are a lot of excursions offered. We went with the Kavkaz company, we liked it, excellent guides and careful drivers))

There are no complaints about the hotel itself and the location. But! An extremely incompetent and tactless administrator! A person has no subordination at all, this is clear immediately after communicating with guests. We checked in, we pulled all the information out of it ourselves, even as far as beach towels were concerned, until we asked for them ourselves, since we needed them for a trip to the thermal springs. According to the person, there is a feeling that she is the king and god here, by her facial expression, manner of communication and behavior. Other disadvantages in comparison with this were generally not so critical.

Abkhazia is a beautiful turquoise sea, the aesthetics of the riot of almost wild nature, of course, a rich history, Temples of the 6th-10th centuries in almost pristine form and ... a complete lack of service and customer orientation from the point of view of a person who has visited at least several developed countries and seen how it should be ...
...That's exactly what I thought before I stayed at the DAM Hotel in Sukhum.
In fact, everything turned out to be wrong.
The DAM Hotel is a very good level of comfort and attitude towards guests. I did not expect this in Abkhazia.
The fact is that my last visits (2014-2015) left exactly the impression that I described above. Very beautiful, but very unsettled.
Therefore, I was very doubtful whether I would drive my car to Sukhum, whether this trip would cause me more problems than joy.
After reading the reviews, I wrote to WatsApp to several hotels - they answered only in DAM.
Competently, politely, I immediately got the impression that we would really be welcome here and cherish the guests here.
Let's go together with supurga.
The hotel is located right on the waterfront, all the main attractions are within walking distance, there is a guarded parking lot for cars.There are rooms with sea views, some with city views. The rooms are large, the renovation is good, fresh, the rooms have a minibar and a terrace. On the ground floor there is a restaurant where they serve breakfast, which is included in the accommodation.
But the most important thing is the attitude of the hotel staff towards the guests.
Everyone, including the cleaners, smiles and says hello.
The girls at the reception are Happy and another one (I forgot the name) is smart.
It feels like a good European-level hotel, where everything revolves around the guest and for the guest.
Honestly, I didn't expect this in Sukhumi.
If you are afraid to go, make no mistake, you will feel comfortable at the DAM hotel.

The dishes are at the highest level (compared with many cafes, canteens and restaurants in Sochi and Abkhazia in this price category)!!! Desserts are prepared by themselves, very tasty!!! (they take a long time to prepare, so you need to order immediately). Hookahs are long-lasting and delicious. If you sit outside, you can feed the local cats, cats and dogs. It's a pity, but the kitchen has deteriorated in this institution.
They ordered pasta - it's hard to spoil this dish - they served over-salted raw pasta, asked to add pepper to the salad - they separately counted 70 rubles for it. The American breakfast was served with cold sausages, two breadcrumbs (instead of toast) and a small salad bowl (the size for sauces). The only thing that was not spoiled was the scrambled eggs. In general, it's a pity, there used to be regulars of this place - now not a foot((
