Next, passport control, before which employees are sent, depending on appearance (Asians or Europeans, in my opinion). After the "border" descent to the waiting room. I did not expect to see an empty huge airport. Duty Free stores are closed, there was only one employee, of whom I noticed 3 sectors - alcohol, tobacco, small stead with sweets. The first two do not attract me, I went to the sweet - there are traditionally sweets of sweets that can be bought in all our stores, there were some sweets, but they were from the EU. The business hall is light, without Chinese "dumplings", noodles, fruits, 2 degrees beer, Chinese wine, whiskey.

We were in transit through this airport. If you are a heavy smoker, be prepared for the fact that there are exactly zero smoking rooms in such a huge airport. Neither for cigarettes, nor for icos, nor for electric shoes, you can't smoke anything anywhere. Especially for this, in each toilet (and there are very, very many of them) there are so-called "wardens", in the women's - a woman, in the men's - a man, who control the absence of signs of smoking in the toilets))
On the way to the destination, the transit waiting room was gorgeous, everything was new, clean, beautiful, the territory was huge, we spent time between transfers just walking around the airport, there were very few people. On the way back, the waiting room was very upset, we had a transfer for 12 hours, they refused to give us a transit visa to visit the hotels at the airport because we arrived at night and all the staff were asleep. They were put in seats in the waiting room with partitions, that is, it is almost impossible to sleep on them. There were two places with food in total: a restaurant, in which a lot of positions were missing, and a Starbucks, which saved us.
In general, the impressions are twofold, it is unlikely that we will still take a transfer at this airport.

There are a lot of crazy questionnaires that need to be filled out, while at best a third of the airport staff speaks English, so all these processes are purely based on intuition.
Fingerprinting, taking a covid test (2024 is in the yard, guys!). All this fun takes about an hour and a half, so take this time into account when you visit China.

We flew to Korea via Beijing, the airport looks big, we were in the transit zone, without access to the city, at the reception desk you need to confirm your tickets and luggage to the destination, the luggage flies immediately from Russia to Korea, which is very convenient. Customs control is very thorough, they touch almost completely, look everywhere they can, front and back, hair-tails too, 2-3 min per person, if there is a powerful power bank in the hand luggage, then as with me, they took it, broke it and returned it without words, I noticed only in the waiting room.The flight was in the morning, so everyone spent the night as best they could on armchairs, sofas, there are plastic sun beds, but uncomfortable, there is only one place to eat, there is also a small shop with a minimum of food and drinks, there are vending machines with sweets, also coolers with cold and hot water, toilets are very clean. There is also a small courtyard in the Chinese style, illuminated in the evening, very beautiful.

The airport is problematic at night. Nothing is working. They don't let you go to hotels through transit, we flew from Japan to Moscow for 15 hours. The hotel had to be canceled because they were not allowed in without a visa on a Russian passport , they found a Pay Lounge hotel in the terminal itself, a capsule room for two looks like a cabin, comfortable. But it is much more expensive, they gave 1020 yuan for 8 hours, but bargained until 10 o'clock.
