It's a good airport, I've flown through it many times! The deadline is at the end of October 24. Friendly staff, fast passage, baggage collection is also ok! I like him.
It's a disgusting airport, you feel like you're in the market, there are 100 inspections at every step, the staff themselves open and rummage in bags, treat tourists' things very disrespectfully, they put up price tags both in the bar and in stores, I don't advise anyone! Corruption rules this airport, right on the street some ordinary Egyptians offer to go through everything without queuing for money ($ 50 per person).
We managed to ruin all the positive things we got from our vacation with our careless attitude towards everything, and besides, we lost our luggage on half the flight!
I sincerely advise you to avoid this place!
I was struck by dirt and water on the toilet floor, there is no paper in the booths, there is no SOAP!!!! There are no shoe covers during inspection and the floor is very dirty.
The hand luggage was turned upside down three times, and a dirty hand was shoved into a container with food. It's very stuffy at the airport.
A passport control officer picks his nose, takes a passport with the same hands, texts on the phone for a long time and pays zero attention to you. Neither hello nor goodbye.
The information board is working late
The open alcohol purchased in duty free was taken away just before boarding.
This is the first time I've met such horror.
I will think 100 times about flying to Egypt or not!
They ruined the whole mood and impression.
After the well-known events with the downed plane, we made a number of additional checks, which, in my opinion, are useless and only prolong time. Check-in for flights takes a very long time, which brings nothing but irritation after a wonderful vacation on the Red Sea!
It's just awful.
One of the reasons why I won't fly to Egypt for another 5 years.
In general, the airport is good, but the Egyptians perform there in full:
First, you will be greeted with a smile and offered a paid quick pass.
After you have refused, it begins:
Checks for 5 pcs. more than necessary.
They are no longer smiling at you, but rather growling.
They can gut your suitcase at every check. Then fold it yourself as you want.
Boys separately, girls separately and constant searches.
Even bare legs are searched (it is unclear what they are trying to find.
Shoes need to be removed (flip-flops), there are no shoe covers, you will have to walk barefoot on the floor, then with dirty feet to Russia, or wash in the sink. We almost missed our flight because of the searches.
Nightmare.
I fly a lot , but this is the first time I 've encountered such humiliation . It all starts with the first inspection, and there will be 5-6 of them. There are very rude women at the front desk , picking on every kilogram , right down to hand luggage. The departure area is separately allocated for Russia, there are 2 more security checks, when the landing was announced, we stood for 1.5 hours. It's hot in this area , there's no toilet , the staff is rude, one woman got sick , doctors were called , the whole plane was waiting for her.
I wouldn't say that this airport is one of my favorites, insanely expensive prices, that it's better to take food from the hotel, a little duty free, the worst toilets
The whole impression was ruined by kilometer-long queues and useless searches, which you stand for at least 1.5 hours in total, but in the end nothing is searched.
I used to pour out the water during the inspection, they didn't notice it here, the laptop wasn't checked, the powerbank was also checked for compliance, as a result, this absurdity was apparently created to torment tourists.
There was another queue before boarding the plane, where we stood for another 40 minutes. As a result, the man in front of me was searched, and my hand luggage was cleanly felt.
The principle is a normal airport, the inspections are very thorough and fast, the waiting room is not convenient, but in principle it is tolerable, fast food is expensive, the dutik is not expensive
It was nice coming. But flying away is very unpleasant. Stupid queues. Employees don't check on people for a long time and just wait for something. There will be three checks of things in total. For some reason, they ask for printed copies of travel receipts at the entrance. It's smoky all around. The departure did not add the best impressions. At the entrance, everything is OK.
I had my first vacation in Egypt at the end of January this year. Sharm el Sheikh Airport is different from our similar buildings, with an oriental flavor throughout. The staff speaks Russian well, and they also got a visa to Cairo to see the pyramids. Men work everywhere. The luggage was received quickly, customs control was established promptly, as there are many vacationers from different countries. The toilet was clean, there was no queue.
It does not look like an international airport either in terms of service quality or appearance. If you leave early in the morning, be prepared for the fact that not all toilets and snack bars are open. As for duty free, alcohol prices are too high, the choice of alcohol is not that big. Egyptian sweets are also expensive, it is better to take care of their purchase in advance. Coffee is not cheap either.
There are private traders who do not have prices marked on their goods, so they will call you overstated, and you will have to bargain.
There is no toilet paper in the toilets, and there is no soap in many dispensers either.
After passing the boarding queue, we were loaded into 2 buses. They tried to fill the second one, where I was, completely, but in the end it didn't work out. People were still at the airport, we were sitting and waiting for some employee to call someone. I don't know if they sent the third bus or were waiting for the first one. Just a hand-face.
A small, clean airport, of the minuses / features, I noted the following points:
1. immediately at the entrance to the airport, accelerator intermediaries are drawn, offering to speed up the passage and/or carry luggage for a fee, I did not check how high-quality and plausible their services are, since everything went quickly enough without them.
2. in the Duty Free store, the packer at the checkout after packing begs for a dollar for packing, although this is his job, so you can safely ignore and not give anything.
3. Male (2nd floor) and female (1st floor) toilets are located on different floors next to the escalator.
There are a lot of discount checks, extorting money at the front desk for the first rows, in cafes they come up with prices on the go, in duty free they don't ask for a boarding pass.
They let you into the airport 3 hours before departure, there's no point in arriving earlier.
Before landing, they are driven into a septic tank without a toilet !
Be sure to bring a pen with you, you will need to fill out the declaration again upon departure.
I couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi.
The whole impression of the holiday was ruined!
The airport left a very unpleasant impression. The border guards are lazy, arrogant and stupid. Both at the entrance and at the exit, it took a long time to realize that the passport was not biometric. At the exit, the border guard asked for a pen to make changes to the migration card, and then refused to return the pen! I have never seen such game anywhere. It's stuffy inside. Prices in Dutifrey are high. Before entering the gate, additional checks were made - checking hand luggage, etc. a huge queue was gathered. The women were examined by only one employee. In the bathroom, the cleaning staff is persistently asking for money.
A terrible impression on departure. There is dirt everywhere, begging assistants, queues for a lot of inspections. There is no paper, soap and dirt in the toilets in the departure area. In the waiting room of the bus, there is another check of hand luggage: security guards break through your belongings with their hands. There is no water or toilet in the closed area, you can wait an hour or more. Finally, a smelly bus, telescopic ladders have not yet been invented. For a country with such a tourism business, the airport is just a shame! Spoils the whole holiday experience!
The dirtiest, boorish and humiliating airport in the world. They arrange queues on purpose, they work poorly, they are rude, they force you to take off your shoes and walk barefoot on a dirty floor. If refused, they grab things, intimidate, insult, and forcibly drag them under the frame after groping. There are no shoe covers, there is no alternative inspection, rudeness, rudeness. Scary, evil aunts even paw bare feet, although there is obviously nothing there. The Arabs have been given a little bit of power and they mock the Russian people under the pretext of security. I don't need such a vacation, I came to hysterics and depression after such an attitude.
After Sheremetyevo Airport, there's not much to do there: the airport is small, and inspections take a long time. In Sheremetyevo, everything is somehow unnoticeable, without queues, almost: only at check-in. And you stand everywhere in Charm while they check. Duty free is very bad.
A former Israeli military airfield. There are more than 4 security zones where they are completely searched, there is no waiting area, there is nowhere to sit down, ventilation and air conditioning do not work from the word at all. There are huge queues everywhere and people offering to go through all the posts without queuing for money. And the last thing is that before entering the field, the area looks more like an aquarium: there is no water, no toilets, no ventilation, you can only go out for money.
Our plane was delayed for an hour and a half, so these hours and a half were the most painful... There is not even an elementary vending machine with water or coffee, children are screaming from the heat, elderly people are suffering, there is no order.
Clean is beautiful in its own way. It stands in a place where there are very beautiful sunrises. Men work hard. Our sausage and I were examined. It was not clear what and how to fill in from there. At least they put a sample in. But we will break through everywhere. I love this country very much.
In short, some of the photos were taken when I was vacationing there and I even saw some of them taking pictures. I was vacationing in rixos, by the way, I recommend rixos premium segment from 110 thousand very cool
Egypt got the airport after a 10-day war from Israel. Everything is fine inside! We must remember two things, the first is not to negotiate with the locals for the delivery of luggage, because they are deceived!! And secondly, even in Dyutik, they will try to give you old dollars!! Keep an eye on it!
Compared to Pulkovo, this is the last century)). And it's so clean, there are a lot of shops, there is a Duty free. Delivery to the plane is by bus only.
Clear navigation
Don't get lost)
The country starts with the airport and ends with it. Give me a dollar on inspection - seriously?
Give me a dollar in a dutik - come on?
Air conditioning? Indeed, why include it in principle. The birds shat on the chairs - whatever - the tourists will wipe. The toilet can be closed for an hour and a half - normally, be patient until the plane. Putting passengers on another bus and then running around looking for them is great fun. To hold a check-in line for money is a local business. As well as filling out the cards on arrival, for money.
Terrible airport, with terrible staff. They talk as if someone owes them something. We arrived at the airport in advance, we were not even allowed to go beyond the entrance. They said it was early, there's nothing to do, wait. We waited. When the time came, and they started to let in, a queue had already been created. They talk rudely. Stop! Where did you go! Everyone is dressed in such a way that you will not understand where the airport employee is and where the cleaner is. After such an attitude, I don't want to fly anymore.
It feels like queues are being created everywhere on purpose. By the time you get to the plane, you need to show your passport to someone ten times. I understand that after the crash of the Russian plane over Sinai, you were required to strengthen security measures, but this implies the installation of new equipment and the introduction of modern techniques and practices, rather than an increase in the number of mustachioed grandfathers in police uniforms who ask to show their passports and do not look at it themselves.
There are special conditions for tourists from Russia. They check more than others , you stand in kilometer - long queues at passport control , then they scan you and your luggage five more times on all the tapes and X-rays , even though they don 't even look at the monitor . They are allowed into the departure lounge immediately before departure , but they are picked up from the hotel 5 hours before departure.
A nice, beautiful airport. You go through passport control pretty quickly on arrival and departure. a clean airport and friendly people. There is a place to eat and buy souvenirs
If you want a normal security organization, then install all scanners, all tapes, etc. only 1 time(((thoroughly check passengers 1 time, and touch their suitcases a million times. The interpreter at the airport does not speak clearly. The free kids have cosmic prices(((my phone costs less than a box of chocolates. The Council:fly to Sharm el-Sheikh via other cities.
The airport sucks. Horrible. It is not possible to pack a suitcase. Every employee from the airport entrance to duty free wants to check your passport and flight ticket. There are no shoes, you have to stand barefoot.
There is no order.
There are no signs of inspection for women separately, and men. It sucks.
The first and last time in Egypt.
The hotel staff is rude, you don't tip, they change your face right away. I don't recommend it.
Today I ran into a glaring problem that my seed was having at the front desk. Flight RXT 5211 Sharm El-Sheh - Almaty on 03/20/2025 at 22:0, Where I will not be able to wait in the luggage for a package of oils that was purchased at their company store with all receipts and certificates. Where they threatened me if I didn't leave the package, I wouldn't be able to fly and they would take me off the flight! It's just pure theft of my personal belongings.
A small airport, inside and out, looks like a big tent. There is no negativity, apparently, when you are on vacation and you feel good, you like everything around you too!
The airport itself is probably not bad. But the organization of boarding a flight is something! Words cannot convey it! All the passengers were sincerely glad that they finally got on the right plane! The inspection took place 4 times, nothing is announced in Russian, flights are delayed, the information on the scoreboard does not correspond to reality, the toilets are terrible
After getting off the plane, I decided to take a selfie. A stern-looking security guard approached me, who had just made a remark to a woman who had lit a cigarette. He took the phone out of my hand, walked away from me... he started photographing me))) I love Egypt and the Egyptians. By the way, if you want to express your gratitude to any of the workers of this country, then besides cash tips, Alyonka chocolate is sooo welcome.
It's a good airport. The staff helped fill out the questionnaire. The staff is very helpful. However, there are a lot of inspection points on the way back.
Now getting out of the airport has become problematic. Migration cards that were previously lying everywhere or were issued on the plane can only be obtained at the operator's desk. This means that you stand first in line for cards, then in line at passport control, where you get a visa, then you ask for your passport at almost every passageway, and baggage check is the icing on the cake at the very exit.
Firstly, there are baubles who offer to carry your luggage 100 meters, deceiving you and then asking for $ 20
$ 5 per person for completing a visa
They cheat with luggage, they had to pay $ 50 for allegedly overweight, when the allowed weight for two was 32kg per suitcase, and we had 25kg, but they proved that 20kg for two)
The guide immediately warns that if you want to fly in good places, pay money
Wi-Fi is not working
Several entrance checks. They feel it from all sides. Apparently they are looking for shells and corals on the body. You have to lift your legs and put them on the ottoman. Even small children are examined. They force me to take off my shoes (they don't give me shoe covers). They check for drugs (they take a sample from a handbag with sticky tape).
The business room is creepy. The Internet is slow (see photo). We haven't tried the food. We took only tea (there was only black tea in a cardboard cup), cola and bottled water.
The toilet in the business lounge is dirty.
It's a very good airport . They skip it pretty quickly ... But when handing over luggage and issuing a boarding pass , SEATS BEGAN TO BE SOLD . I have 2 disability groups and arthritis, and my leg is better in an elongated state, IF YOU WANT IN THE AISLE - $ 7. A woman with a child was sitting next to me , apparently they didn 't pay , her husband was sent somewhere to the back of the salon .
They left Egypt on October 16, 2024. In general, the airport is good, but the toilet cleaner brought it almost to a nervous breakdown. On the chart, she cleans regularly and keeps the ladies' room "clean". You won't find such unsanitary conditions in the station toilets either. There is no toilet paper, the dispensers are empty, the toilets are dirty. Only after trying to take a photo of the badge, paper appeared, and the toilet was closed for cleaning, and the male was transferred to the status of a female. It is unclear where the management of the international airport is looking.
A kind of airport. A place for smoking TV in a bar without ventilation is brutal. In the toilet, the airport staff offers to change money or something.
It's a little dirty, something's broken. The bars suck at beer and food for crazy money. Dutik at prices as if he were buying in Moscow. Despite the fact that by the look of the stores, there is no certainty that some employee has not loaded up. A paradox.
A normal airport, but everything is expensive.
From the lounge box hotel to the reception on the eve of departure, do not forget to order. The smoking room is civil, like a cafe. Duty free is not interesting, you can " kill " time. Perfumes are more expensive than in the Russian market.
I didn't like the word at all, there are a lot of checks, as if criminals are being checked, but in fact many carried lighters and smoking rooms through these checks(which are prohibited)The toilet is in terrible condition, there is not even hand soap
It's not a big airport, but it's a very nice one. There are local souvenir and fruit shops on site. This is for those who did not have time to buy surprises for friends and family.
Brazen and aggressive guards, beggars around, with carts, near toilets, at registration. The room is not very clean in general. There are queues everywhere and there is a lot of confusion with exits.
The women's and men's toilets are on different floors, which is inconvenient. The price tag is inadequate for Egypt.
In general, the place is uncomfortable.
But if you want to relax on the beautiful sea, you have to visit this place 2 times, not the most pleasant.
In general, it's not a bad airport, the logistics are clear.Outwardly beautiful, unusual..but....!!!.4 check-ins before the flight....this is, of course, something....
At the entrance, a crowd of locals offers "services" for quick registration for bucks, but there is no point in this, and you check in quickly enough.
