We were here in January. A soulful zoo, a large territory, I really liked the ungulates and elephants, which you can get very close to. It's a pity they don't sell food for them. Tickets are not expensive. The disadvantages are landscaping and the number/quality of toilets.
It's a great place, there are a lot of attractions for different tastes and ages. Of course, we took a ride on the Ferris Wheel and climbed even higher over Tbilisi, beauty and that's all. And then on a roller coaster, not like in Sochi or Moscow, but a few moments impressed))) We got to it by tram, which is also a great pleasure. The territory is very large, there is a lot of entertainment, we definitely recommend it
I liked it! Tapir - Milasha! Smiles) behemoth is just a bomb! Animals are suitable, you can take pictures! Everyone is well-fed, the fur is hairy, the monkeys tease the dogs) I saw how some animals were fed ... you should definitely look at the aquarium, there are cool chameleons! Price 4 GEL zoo+2 GEL aquarium
My sister and I liked it, the entrance costs three lari. You can take a little bread with you, and feed the mini monkeys and parrots. Deer, goats, and many more animals will be happy!!!
The zoo for 4 GEL justifies its price. The animals are relatively clean, the road is straight without any branches, the rides are super simple for the youngest (except for the Ferris wheel, it is super time-beaten). The aquarium, which is paid separately (2 GEL), is not particularly full of an abundance of animals. A couple of snakes, fish, one spider, and that's it.
As a result, if you are exploring the city and just want to look at the most basic animals (deer, donkeys, parrots, llamas, lemurs, one kind of monkey and a few more), then this zoo will take you for 4 lari for 30 minutes. Otherwise, I don't see any point in returning here ever again. In August, at 30+, the heat of the animals is especially sad and bad, and this has already made me sad.
There are a lot of different animals, that's a plus.
Affordable price
You can email them in advance and walk with a small dog in your bag.
It's hard to close your eyes to the deplorable state of the infrastructure, I think it would be wise to upgrade the zoo in the capital.
I liked the zoo, because the animals are treated carefully. There are not many visitors, without obstacles and haste, you can see the animals in all the details.
Overall, the zoo is good. Small, but cozy. All pets are available)) The only thing I took off the star for is infrastructure. I think I haven't repaired it since the opening. The pens are old, the rides are generally dark. The Ferris wheel creaks so much that you can hear it from afar. And the swing horses for kids are going so fast that I got seasick 😅
You can't help but like this place - the animals live in conditions that are almost close to natural. Whole herds of deer and buffaloes. The lemurs were touched. I was surprised by a brash and shameless llama and a smart behemoth. There is a lot of entertainment for younger children.

It's a good place. It's nice to walk and see the animals. The sidewalks are no longer very fresh, as are the enclosures, but the animals look well-groomed, well-fed and contented. We are waiting for the new zoo to be completed and the animals to be moved to a better place.
One of the main attractions of the park is the aquarium, where you can see a variety of marine and freshwater fauna. Colorful fish, starfish and other marine life attract the attention of both adults and children.
Traveling to different cities, we definitely go to the zoo. The entrance to Tbilisi costs 4 lari (150 rubles). It is not very big, in an hour and a half you can safely walk around it and take pictures. It was hot outside, and many animals escaped with water and shade. I liked elephant, rhinoceros, camel, yaks, bright parrots, fawns and all the rest))) Our Creator created animals to make us happy, because it's so interesting to watch them! "God created wild animals according to their genera, cattle and all other creatures according to their genera. And God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:25).
Thank you to the staff of the Tbilisi Zoo for their hard work and the opportunity to look at rare and diverse animals. Be sure to visit the zoo to support him financially and take a walk.
Of the advantages, only the price is 4 lari entrance to the zoo and another 2 lari to look at fish and reptiles. The animals run from their enclosures to the neighboring ones. Everything is not cleaned, fences are not safe, animals are fed with other live or dead animals right in front of the children. They just throw a rabbit into the aviary and watch as his head is now torn off… I understand everything, but a zoo is not a place for a broken child's psyche. The rides are all old, rusty, the Ferris wheel seems to be worth 40 years ... dirt and stink everywhere ... in general, I do not advise you to waste your time on this location
Some aviaries are slightly abandoned, but to see a hippopotamus almost a meter away is an unforgettable experience.
I was pleasantly surprised by the terrarium with fish diversity and clean aquariums!
On the one hand, there are a lot of positive impressions. There are many different animals, and most importantly, they can be seen up close. There are no large ditches and fences. The camel could be touched at all. Predators are behind the glass, but they come right up to the glass, so you can see at arm's length. In general, it was a pleasure to come here. There is a good amusement park for small children. Very friendly staff. And I took off the star only because it is necessary to make repairs, the walls and fences are in a deplorable condition. Maybe because of the flood, of course. The animals are well fed. But the conditions of detention leave much to be desired.
The zoo of my childhood!
But I really want the old zoo to move to the new one. There will be much better animals there, away from the hustle and bustle of the city (roads, residential buildings)
A magnificent zoo, many animals, they look happy, elephants and a hippopotamus were especially impressed, a terrarium - my respects, I have never seen so many different snakes in my life
I was not impressed. It seems like it's big, but it's not interesting. There are practically no signs of what kind of animal is on the cages or aviaries anywhere. Guess for yourself. I liked the reptiles.
I learned about the Tbilisi State Zoo on madloba.info and I immediately wanted to go there! I have already heard that this is one of the most interesting and exotic parks in Georgia, but now I have learned more details. Up to 1,500 animals of 200 species, including threatened species, live here. It's just amazing!
I am glad that in the zoo you can observe not only the local fauna, but also such exotic animals as white lions, rhinos and elephants. In addition, there is a diverse collection of birds and reptiles, including venomous snakes. The zoo offers different types of tickets with different prices, and I'm already planning my trip there.
Thank you madloba.info for detailed information about the Tbilisi State Zoo! I am really looking forward to this visit!

the zoo was not interesting, no animals were seen there (elephant, hippopotamus, rhinoceros) it was not clean and all animals except birds and monkeys, everything else was closed 😡😡😡
Briefly about the main thing for single Machos in the prime of life according to Carlson:
"... the terrarium is my respect, I have never seen so many different snakes in my life"!
The main thing is short:
"How do you know if a zoo is good or not?
Just look into the eyes of animals"!
A very nice zoo. Despite the fact that he doesn't look very good outwardly, there are a lot of animals. And everything is close. The entrance ticket is inexpensive 4 lari. There are attractions for children.
Appalling conditions for animals, a hippo without access to a pond, elephants going crazy in a cramped enclosure, everyone drowning in their shit. Traditionally broken asphalt, holes in the asphalt are covered with planks, crumbling buildings
A small assortment of animals. I liked only elephants and rhinoceros. For children who have not seen animals at all, it will be even more or less. Those who have been to European zoos will be disappointed.
Admission costs GEL 7 per adult. Children under three years old are free of charge. There are many different animals, but they are not kept in very good conditions. There is a very large flow of children, and the infrastructure is suffering.
The zoo is too old, too small. I feel sorry for elephants. Reconstruction would not hurt - some aviaries and a Ferris wheel are breathing hard, stuck somewhere far in the past. But the children liked it. Moreover, there are several carousels and attractions at the bottom of the exit (aka the entrance). In general, a three. On a five-point scale.
Of course, it's not 4 stars. Yes, it's not even a 3- but: the desire and ability to preserve the identity and uniqueness of this place is already worth a lot. There are few animals, but they are there - and they are nearby! We haven't carried out a full transfer to a new place yet - we need to visit here!
I chose a bad day to go to the zoo, it was raining heavily, but despite this, I saw elephants, tigers, donkeys, wild dogs, a hippopotamus, various reptiles and fish.
I liked it!! I will definitely go next time I'm in Tbilisi
I liked it, of course it doesn't take much to restore it, but the animals are cute creatures, the children were generally happy to feed the animals with pleasure :))
Although I don't like zoos and similar establishments, but here it feels like animals really have a place to walk. I really liked the deer with funny ears (I forgot the name)
A cozy zoo. The rhinoceros and the donkey, the lion family, are beautiful. My grandchildren love cars and shooting galleries the most. And I love the hippo Run)
It seems that this zoo is living out its time, after the tragedy of 2015, when there was a flood and many animals died, it was decided to build a new one in another place. I hope that when we come to Tbilisi next time, a new modern zoo will be launched, which we will be happy to visit.
In cloudy weather, it is better not to visit, and so, in a good way, serious reconstruction is required, everything looks like the scenery in a horror movie, but the animals are well-groomed and fed, the staff has a huge respect!
