I was lucky enough to visit an amazing place where we were warmly welcomed by a couple - Gulya and Yura, who managed to organize an unforgettable vacation at the hotel "Zhagalau". Gulya is an excellent cook and pampered with delicious fish dishes; treated with kebabs and an unforgettable dish "Koktal"; was extremely polite and attentive. Yura and I were shown the most beautiful places in this area and told a lot of interesting things. At her leisure, she sang wonderful romances with the guitar and it's impossible to forget. This lovely couple is the best business card of the hotel. I want to come here again and again, because they did everything to make my stay on the shores of Balkhash unforgettable. I thank Yura and Gulya for such an approach to the hotel guests. I wish them health, happiness and harmony. Now, without hesitation, I will always choose this hotel to see the sunrises on Lake Balkhash. Amazing nature, unpredictable Balkhash, endless steppe with its inhabitants - I want to come here again.

It offers a stunning view of Lake Balkhash. The hotel staff is friendly, the attitude towards Russians is good, which is not unimportant when traveling.

Zhagalau is one of the few places in Kazakhstan that I will undertake to recommend. This is a hotel on the shore of Lake Balkhash away from the highway and settlements. There is a railway about a kilometer away, but there is something in this "you are a hole, you are a hole". The hotel is new and very decent for such a remote place. The culprits of the order are Gulya (she is in the photo) and her husband, with whom they live here all year round, simultaneously breeding dairy goats.
We got caught in a hurricane, were delayed and arrived late. Gulya met us and fed us a delicious and simple dinner.
The wind at 20 m/s did not subside and howled all night. Sometimes it was unclear whether it was the wind or the train.
But there was something in that, too.
In the morning it became clear that this is a very beautiful place.
Our compatriots have recently realized that warm Balkhash is much more suitable for a summer beach holiday than Issyk-Kul, in which the water is cold even at the height of the season. And it's much closer to go here. But nevertheless, the place is still not at all hyped, which makes it even more attractive.
Yes, I understand that because of me now its exclusivity has slightly decreased, but it's not scary. Zhagalau still has a lot of potential.

P. S. Specially removed the tunnel under the railway tracks. This is the only way to Zhagalau. As you can see, the passage is not great. A Land Cruiser passes without a trunk and a Rav4 with an autobox on the roof. Something closer to a Gazelle in size - alas

A very interesting place - it is located right on the shore of a beautiful lake in the middle of the steppe. And there is only nature, water and steppe around. Smooth entry into the water - we swam with the children. The beach is rocky, and there is sand in the water. If you walk along the coast, you can see beautiful rocks. Even a little climbing. My son and I are delighted. Thank you for a nice and unusual stay.

A very cozy and quiet recreation area. We are resting here for the second time. There are several yurts to choose from on the territory, as well as a two-storey building with cozy rooms and air conditioning. At the same time, the prices are quite affordable!In general, we liked it.

This year we discovered a new place to relax. Neat territory, clean rooms, sandy beach, on-site swimming pool, barbecue area. The friendly administration of Gulya and Yura. We will definitely return to Zhagalau next year.

In August 2023, we got to this paradise - Zhagalau! This is our first trip to Lake Balkhash, and we had a great time here, the whole family was very satisfied! We swam on the beach, fished from the cape! There are many places for photo shoots, beautiful views, there is a place to walk! The lake is beautiful, the air is clean! Special thanks to the administration of Gula and Yura, you are well done with a capital letter, respectable and caring! Thank you for the breakfasts and lunches, everything was very tasty and from the heart! Special thanks for the canned fish recipe and for the fish too!♥️♥️♥️

A stunningly beautiful place! Yura and Gulya are wonderful, sincere people. They fed us very tasty, we also took a boat ride-this is a must! To see Zhagalau from the water, bird island, the expanses of Balkhash 😍 My score is 100+++ out of 5!

Good place, good hosts. The prices are affordable. The coast is excellent, there is a swimming pool. There is a place for cooking, if you ask well, they can cook for you. Be sure to take a small boat tour around Chaiko Island.

We were driving to Issyk-Kul, we decided to stop at a pitstop. We chose a Fazenda and did not regret it. The beach is wonderful, the room is cozy, there is everything you need. I would especially like to mention the administrator Gulya. A very kind and helpful person.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. We took the economy. The room has a refrigerator, kettle, TV, table with chairs. The coast is clean, quiet, calm. The owners are kind-hearted, they will answer all requests and help. Very emotional. If we still go to Balkhash, we will definitely stop by :)

We really like this place. We often go fishing there. The owner of the fazenda and its administration do everything for visitors. They are very kind-hearted. Now the fazenda is getting upset with the amenities in the rooms and there is entertainment for children
