A beautiful castle in the very center of the city. It towers over the city. It is surrounded by a huge garden park and high fortress walls. It was built in the 16th century. It was repeatedly destroyed. The last time was by the Americans during the war. Now it is a refurbished replica. There are even elevators inside. It's very convenient for visitors, of course.

All the positive aspects of this castle are its appearance and the area around it. It's a complete disappointment inside... standing in line to see funny pictures on the screens and a couple of models. Disgusting interior decoration. Inside there is a complete renovation in the style of "renovation" without a hint of antiquity. I'd say it's the worst castle I've ever been in. Moreover, it is strictly forbidden to take photos there), except for the last floor from the observation tower. In general, do not waste time on a tour inside it, an external inspection will be enough for you. And beautiful views of Osaka can be viewed from other high sites. P/s/ if you want to see a really beautiful castle both inside and out, then add Himeji to your itinerary. The White Heron Castle is probably the best castle in Japan.

The castle is in classic Japanese style, a picturesque view of the moat with water, a large park area, a panoramic view of the city from the observation deck of the castle. It's beautiful, but nothing unusual (there are many more interesting places in Japan). If you find yourself in Osaka, it is definitely worth visiting, but you do not need to go to Osaka from another city specifically for this castle. Visiting the park and the surrounding area is free; entrance to the museums and the observation deck of the castle is about 700 yen (by the way, the panoramic view from the Umeda Sky Building is much better, it is better to visit the observation deck there)
