Today we rode a bike to Reddy Fort and Paradise Beach next door. It turned out to be an interesting half-day motorcycle trip (a good option for starting). 🛵 Fort Reddy (Reddy or Reddi, also known as Fort Yashvantgad) in Goa is a historic structure located in the southern part of the state. Built in the 17th century, the fort was an important strategic point to defend against Portuguese attacks. The fort was built by the Portuguese in the 1600s, but its name is associated with an Indian warlord named Timoji Reddy, who captured the fort in the 1690s and used it to defend the region. Later, the fort was recaptured by the Portuguese, and they fortified it to resist attacks. Reddy is a typical Portuguese fortress with massive walls and towers. Ruins of barracks, warehouses and other structures can be found inside the fort. Despite the destruction, the fort has preserved its historical atmosphere and is an important architectural monument. Today, the fort is in a dilapidated state, but its ruins attract many tourists and historians. Access to the fort is open, and visitors can freely explore its territory. The fort is surrounded by dense jungle, which adds to its mystery and charm. 😍 , How to get there : Reddy Fort is located in the southern part of Goa, about 20 kilometers from the city of Margao. It can be reached by car or motorcycle. Local taxis or rickshaws are also available. , Point on Yandex maps : https://vk.cc/cGukjW 🔎 GPS Coordinates: 15.751719, 73.665029 , Opening hours : during the day , The cost of the visit: free of charge My advice for future visitors: 🌅 Come during the day while it's still light. In the evening, it will not be convenient to walk through the dark rooms of the fort (they are here). 🫣 Be prepared to meet with local residents who are engaged in the restoration of the fort and who live with their families here in tents, on the territory of the fort Take water and food with you: there are no shops inside the fort, and sometimes they sell water for tourists outside the entrance. Comfortable shoes also do not hurt: the territory of the fort is quite rocky and uneven. Take photos: this is a great place for lovers of history and architecture. You can also launch a drone here. 🛩️ Fort Reddy is not only a historical place, but also a picturesque location that allows you to plunge into the atmosphere of the past and enjoy the views of Goa's nature. #fortRedy #Mishaikon #mishaikonTrips 📸 #goa #trips #travel #goatrip2025 #rediFort #paradiseBeachGoa #goa #Rediforthgoa 🎥

There are few similar places in Goa. At least they didn't take the stones home (unlike in chapora). There is an opportunity to immerse yourself in history . The condition was monitored, but the walls were overgrown with trees. Beautiful views. It's worth choosing a day and visiting there.
