The hotel is old. Repairs have not been done for a very long time. The peculiar smell is because of this.
There is a lot of unnecessary fuss. Especially at the reception.
The air conditioner is very noisy, and there is no way to fix it, just turn it off.
There is a swimming pool in the next building, it is for hotel customers. But it has cold water in it. I was shocked. It is uncomfortable to swim.
The location of the hotel is excellent, this is the only plus. To the left is the metro 100m, to the right is a little 500m, too, the metro and the shopping center.
Book rooms on the upper floors - beautiful views! The hotel is located in the center of the most seedy area of Hong Kong. There are pubs, bars, girls around ;) It is very noisy in the evenings, because the whole street is packed with office workers who come after work to drink and have fun, so noise from the streets will be heard on the lower floors.
The location is very good. There is a subway nearby. Walking distance is literally 5 minutes to the embankment and to the business district. There is a ferry parking on the embankment on the opposite side.
The hotel itself is very cultured. Everything is clean, tidy, the staff is polite. The rooms are small, but with all amenities. The breakfasts are pretty decent, continental.
P.S.: I forgot my laptop mouse in the room, so I'll be back! ;)))
Excellent location, modern, clean, cozy room. Everything is great! Thanks to the staff for their responsiveness, we asked them to print out tickets and tell us how to get to the beach, they helped with everything. If we are still going to work, we will choose this hotel.
