If you have time, it is certainly worth a visit, if only because here is the largest statue of Buddha, cast in gold - 5 tons, listed in the Guinness Book of Records. It was discovered completely by accident, when moving to a new location in the middle of the last century, the plaster statue, as it was believed at the time, was accidentally dropped, a piece of plaster fell off and revealed the gleam of gold. It was later suggested that in ancient times, during the war with Myanmar, in order to protect its shrine, it was doused with plaster. And later, apparently, there was no one to tell the secret. The vicissitudes of history are unpredictable, however. The statue is located on the 4th floor, the second and third floors are occupied by history museums, a separate and optional ticket is for an amateur. And gently ringing the bells is not forbidden by everyone, which, in principle, people enthusiastically do.
