I want to go there all the time now. It's quiet, the air is clean (the difference is very visible to the eyes if you look at the city) and complete comfort. New warm, clean houses, which have everything for the usual convenience - good beds, dishes, plumbing, kitchen. There is a sauna with a vat, barbecues, and there are cabins with their own sauna. You can chill endlessly on the veranda in a hammock chair with a view of the city. And if the Redhead is kind, he will come to keep you company.

Great view, fresh air, silence.
Pros: great for a family or a couple; relatively not far away, you can take a taxi from Almaty; good repair; refrigerator, coffee machine, microwave, stove, Wi-Fi and convenient sockets. Cute cats.
Cons: not every car will get to the place, it's hard to find for the first time and there is no direct connection to call on the way; The house (for two) was sometimes shaken when someone went up the stairs, you practically need to take everything with you, expensive bath services, there are not enough shutters on some windows and doors (some people they like to sleep knowing that they are not being watched for sure)

I rarely write long reviews, but Above the City is actually a very, very cool place. The capacity in the houses is up to 2 or 5 people (to choose from), I usually live in houses up to 5; everything is always very clean and tidy. There are a lot of books for every taste, and Japanese literature, and foreign, and Russian, classical. Guitar, speaker, candles, dishes, electric kettle. The views are simply mesmerizing, both day and night. It's worth coming here for them! Nature, the sky and the city, as if in the palm of your hand. A bath, a vat of water, is a separate conversation, 10/10! These places are the best option to relax, free your thoughts, and get away from the hustle and bustle. There are ottomans, a table and a chair on the veranda, blankets are attached, and, surprisingly, they are absolutely always clean and pleasantly smelling. The landlords are very polite and pleasant people. Clean air, Wi–Fi, a soft bed, in a word, a mess. In general, I come back more than once and I advise you. ;)

A very cozy house, a fascinating view of the city lights at night, fresh mountain air in the morning. The staff was friendly, helped with a taxi, explained how to get to the place. The house has everything for a good rest.

A great place to spend a fun and enjoyable weekend. A good sauna and a heated vat with a view of the night city are a separate pleasure.
But keep in mind, it is advisable to drive a car with all-wheel drive, especially in winter.

Stunningly beautiful location, incredibly friendly hosts, cozy houses, a hot bathhouse, there is an open vat (heated) for taking an outdoor bath at any time of the year and day, as well as a barbecue area, I highly recommend it!
