Iguazu Falls is one of the best places on the planet!
We love traveling and especially love waterfalls, so when we were choosing a trip to Iguazu, we came across an interview with Artemy Lebedev. He visited all the countries of the world and included Iguazu in the top 5 places to see in life. This was the last argument for us!
We flew from Buenos Aires to the Argentine side. We ordered everything through Expedia. As a result, we had an individual tour – unexpectedly, but pleasantly!
The greatness of nature
At first, we admired the waterfalls from the observation deck. Brazil was right in front of us, and in front of our eyes was the Devil's Throat, one of the most powerful Iguazu waterfalls. The most amazing thing is that there are more than 2000 waterfalls, but only 21 have names. To feel this power and the power of water is simply incredible!
Under the waterfall is the best solution!
You can fly by helicopter to Iguazu or ride under the waterfalls. I have a weak vestibular apparatus, so we chose a trip under the waterfalls – and it was the most amazing decision!
Already on the observation deck, my dress instantly became wet from the spray! And under the waterfall, it's just a storm! The captain skillfully maneuvered the boat, allowing us to feel the full force of the elements.
Jungle, butterflies and... crocodiles?
After all, this is a jungle, so crocodiles, capybaras and snakes live here. We were told: "You probably won't see them," but we saw everyone, and most importantly, we saw the alligator smiling! 😅
I also had butterflies landing on me all the time. It was very beautiful and magical!
, Useful tips:
We were in January, and it was +36°C – hot, stuffy, humid.
Take the water! It is sold only at the beginning of the route, then nowhere else.
✅ SPF and Panama masthave! Otherwise, you'll burn out in a couple of hours.
, Where to eat?
There are two restaurants in the reserve:
🍽 In one, payment is based on the weight of the food.
In another case, you pay for admission and eat as much as you want (drinks separately).
We chose the second option because these were the only places with air conditioning. 😅
✈ Return
In the evening, we flew back to Buenos Aires. And now we can say for sure that Iguazu is really on the list of places to see in life! 🌍💙
It's just something.
I was only on the Brazilian side. I recommend setting aside two separate days for the two sides. And there's still some time between them, so that there's time to experience all the emotions.
This is one of the most wonderful natural places in the world.
I recommend coming here before 11 a.m. so that you can not only walk all the way and see the waterfalls, but also stay in the moment, have time to enjoy.
There are many buses coming here, you don't need to buy tickets in advance. After the ticket office, you will be taken by a local bus through the national park to the path to the waterfall.
Then you will have 20-30 minutes of trekking with views of a dozen beautiful waterfalls (the view depends on the season), and at the end - the main boss of all waterfalls.
I was impressed by the high-quality infrastructure from the Brazilian side. Many paths have been built, so close to the waterfall that it seems like just a couple of centimeters, and you can say goodbye to life.
There's even an elevator that goes up to the second floor. And the view is even more spectacular.
I stood for more than 3 hours, I couldn't enjoy and absorb. Only the closure stopped it :)
I was only on the Brazilian side. But I recommend visiting the second part in Argentina. Don't plan to fit everything in one day, it will be a mess.
There is an opportunity to rent a helicopter and see all the beauty from the third point - from the sky. If you have some finances, don't miss the opportunity.

There is no doubt that Iguazu Falls are one of the natural wonders of the world. A delightful, breathtaking sight! For completeness of perception, you need to look from the Argentine and Brazilian sides. In the first case, this is the closest approach to the waterfalls, sometimes the bridges are laid directly above them, and if desired, you can ride a boat. However, in the high-water season (we were in October) the boat does not enter the mouth of the devil, as well as the steam train does not go there by land. He drives me. On the Brazilian side, the views are more panoramic. In any case, not just the sea, but a whole ocean of emotions from what you have seen is provided for you.
