A beautiful cascade of two waterfalls. The way here by car is great! Entry is paid. There is a swing next to the upper waterfall - the girls will like it)
After paying the fare, you can see abandoned mines on the way to the waterfall. Those who are bolder go inside. The labyrinths are there wow!
If you go in winter, it is better to avoid snowy days in the mountains. Even though it's a sunny day and +10, the road from the river to Akarmara is covered with ice (humidity near the river). If you drive carelessly, and especially on summer tires, you can fly away. The ascent and descent are decent. After 13 hours on a sunny day, the road clears.
Excellent panorama on the suspension bridge + exposition with rotating hearts. Nearby there is an excellent restaurant with traditional cuisine and a view of the waterfall. The restaurant has excellent chacha, traditional Abkhazian dishes, delicious fried trout and an amazing addition, amazing tkemali sauce, meat soup solyanka is an amazing "goulash" without potatoes and with the addition of onions and tomatoes
It's a great place! There is a suspension bridge and an observation deck along the way, there is a cafe near the waterfall (we did not eat), but from the cafe to the waterfall itself, walk probably 100 meters along a not very smooth path! But it's worth it, there are qualities there) In addition to the upper part, there is a second part of the waterfall along the path back and to the right as you go down!
The road to the waterfall is perfect asphalt (July 2024). I definitely recommend it!
