This is an incredible symphony of nature! The power of the water sparkling in the rays of the sun, the breathtaking height of the falling jets and the freshness of the air around create an unforgettable impression. It's a miracle that you want to see over and over again!
I described the general road to the waterfalls to the Giant and Irina in a review to Irina.
This waterfall is the highest I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot of them already, well, a few dozen for sure. However, my modest knowledge of waterfalls is practically limited to Crimea, Sochi and Abkhazia.
The giant differs from the others not only by its grandiose height, which far surpasses most other waterfalls. But also by its accessibility.
The fact is that the path leading to the waterfall does not lead to the foot of the waterfall, as usual. And not even by the beginning of the fall of the water.
The path comes right to the middle of it. That is, you approach the waterfall, walk between under it. More precisely, you walk between the mountain and the jets, which fly in a wide stream from a height of about 50 m and fly further past you, down about the same amount.

It seems to be the largest waterfall in all of Russia, it looks great, you definitely need to visit.
I drove my car to Akarmara, but there we still switched to their jeep and did not regret driving the locals along the mountain roads - that's another attraction. It's hard to call it expensive, the protruding stones are 40 cm high, the slope is 40-50 degrees, after the trip I gave the 3 thousand without hesitation, the guy took us for a ride along all three waterfalls, plus he brought us to the zipline - there the whole family flew over the gorge with the river - the views are awesome)

The waterfall is a hurricane! We recommend it to everyone. It was May 10, 2025. We thought about driving our car or taking a tour for a long time. But after reading the reviews about the bad road, we decided to take a tour. What they regretted. You want to stay longer in these places, and the tour is a race. We want to please all motorists of waterfalls, now you can get to the Holy Waterfall (and then to the Giant either by jeep or on foot) in a sedan. A new road surface was laid up to the waterfalls. There is a small section of bad road in the village (less than 1 km), it should not stop you right outside the village there is an excellent new roadbed.
Before reaching the waterfall, you will see a large pocket for parking. There are jeeps here, you can climb to the giant either by rented jeep or on foot. It's steep going up, but it's possible to pass. Then you'll have to walk down to the Giant Waterfall.
Be sure to visit Irina Waterfall. And the Holy Waterfall, it's right behind the cafe on the road. Here we attach photos of all three waterfalls. (The Giant, Irina, the Saint). Enjoy the nature of Abkhazia!
