I really liked the hotel. A large picturesque area right on the ocean. The city with shops and restaurants is within walking distance. Of the disadvantages, you can find a cockroach in the dining room if you try hard. Delicious coffee, delicious pinacolada. There are three Russian channels and a safe in the room. Bottled water is fresh in the room every day. There is everything you need to relax. You can not leave the hotel at all. The pool is not heated. Entertainment programs every day.

The hotel would be good for everyone:
a large, well-groomed territory, a large, spacious swimming pool, 5 bars, 3 a la carte restaurants, a good beach and ocean, the main building and many 1, 2 and 3-storey villas!
But... in the huge main building with 4 "wings" branches, only one elevator works and guests are forced to climb 7-8 floors on foot several times a day with and without luggage. The main building has a single condensation system, which does not work well, and guests suffer from the heat (the temperature in the rooms reaches 29 degrees)
And the worst thing is the food: the range of dishes is not large, but there is always meat and rice, very few vegetables, some fruits, pasta, sweet potatoes, potatoes, yucca... You won't starve, but the dishes are poorly cooked. They are constantly unsalted, there are no spices, there are almost no sauces - occasionally ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise are exposed. There are no napkins on the tables, salt, pepper - they are brought on request. Coffee can be offered from hot drinks for breakfast (waiters bring it from the kitchen, there is no free access in the hall), for lunch and dinner only beer, juices, occasionally wine, ice cream for dinner daily.
The service in the rooms is not intrusive: cleaning consists in sweeping and making beds, changing towels on request, there was no change of linen for 13 days at all. And tips will not help here - they are taken away, but they do not do anything beyond the usual

We had a rest in March 2024. I liked the hotel, it is large, beautiful, lots of greenery, a large territory, there is a place to walk. There is a swimming pool, a playground, a lot of sun loungers, the staff is normal, friendly, the animation is evening. Contests were held on the beach, the prize fund was rum! The rooms could use a renovation. Well, in general, a good 4. (we are not pretentious tourists). In the store, at the hotel, they paid with a MIR card. In a la carte restaurants, the same food as in the usual one is not very different. There is a separate conversation about food, in almost all hotels everything is the same, what was brought to the island is treated with that. A few days later we moved to a nearby hotel, on the 1st line, (it is considered better), but we went to this hotel for lunch and dinner. In general, we liked it! I recommend.

There are problems with the elevator, it doesn't work forever. We went from the end of December 2024 to January 2, 2025. Room cleaning is bad, the rooms are old, there is theft, a sports top and sports shorts were stolen, not a big loss, but very unpleasant! I only discovered it when I got home. Therefore, I do not recommend this hotel.

I really liked the place. Friendly staff. They try to do it beautifully, they try to treat it with attention and love. Very emotional. The room is not bad, but there were shortcomings. There are problems with the elevator, but we were settled on 4 and we are not afraid of stairs. We went at the end of September 2024.

There was an animated show in the evenings, except on days when there was a downpour, which was almost every day, or rather, usually at night, or after lunch.the show is cool, dancing, magical, scuba diving, we went and watched it all the time.On Wednesdays, Cuba Day was held at the hotel, lunch and dinner were held not in the main restaurant, but in a restaurant by the beach, everything was accompanied by dancing and dancing, very incendiary, plus sausages / meat were grilled on the grill.
There are 0 questions about the ocean, it's unreal!The first 5 days there were waves, sometimes very big, we jumped in them and were happy, but on the 6th day there was a calm and the ocean became unrealistically transparent, bright blue, a la Maldives, this is something incredible!The colors hurt my eyes.There are almost no animals in the ocean, we saw only live shells, crabs, and a couple of small swordfish, no one else, lizards with curled tails run around the hotel.The beach is half empty, it was perfect for us, you swim on the lawn, not like in our "yugas" like herrings in a barrel)))There were a lot of sun beds and there wasn't a day that we didn't have enough of it, although there were cases that they were occupied with towels right in the morning.But the sadness is the beach umbrellas, they are half broken,half embedded in the sand and are so low that with my height of 158cm I had to bend down to lie on a chaise longue)))Beach towels are issued according to a "piece of paper" that you will be given along with the room key, you can change it every day, but at least 2 times a day, the main thing is not to lose, there was no need to leave any deposit for towels.Sometimes guys sat by the beach under an umbrella and sold pineapple/coconut cocktails at a cost of 5 dollars or 600 pesos (which turned out to be 2 dollars, since 1 dollar = 300 pesos on our arrival), but the coconuts were not cold, they did not like them.
If you walk along the beach to the left of the hotel, after a couple of hotels there will be a swing (the beach of the Barcelo Solymar hotel), if you go to the right along the beach, then after a 15-20-minute walk you will run into beautiful rocks, you can climb the stairs and get to the beautiful golf courses, if you pass them, you will get to the Villa Dupont restaurant with an observation deck and the beach by the rocks, we bought up there, took pictures, and walked back the same way.
If you go to the road from the hotel's parking lot to the right, then in 10 minutes you will already be in Varadero, there are many cafes / restaurants, retro cars (we rode for 1h 30 dollars, took us to the parking lot with the inscription Varadero, to a beautiful location for photos and to Villa Alcapone), the beaches everywhere are gorgeous, there are no words just.You can ride a tourist bus, the price for 1 day = 5 dollars (you can pay with a MIR card, you can pay in cash, as soon as you get there), but it's almost impossible to wait for the bus after lunch, we waited 40-50 minutes for the way back.If you go to the left of the hotel and to the end, you will get to the port.There is a Tower and a monument to Don Quixote right at the exit of the hotel + a restaurant (lobsters in it are 25 bucks), but in Varadero there is a restaurant where lobsters are 7 dollars small, 10 dollars big, it's better to walk/ go there (restaurant name: la bodeguita del medio).
We took excursions from locals via the Internet without prepayment, went to Havana and Cayo Blanco.The Fun & Sun hotel guide is awesome.I didn't rub anything in, I didn't mess with my brain.On the way back, I wrote everything to everyone on WhatsApp.
If something else is interesting, ask me, maybe I missed something.To sum up, we were driving and thought that everything would be very sad (reading some reviews, there was little information on the video), for the price we gave 225,000rubles for a 12-day Conviasa flight to Havana + from there 3 hours by bus.If it's more expensive, then it's probably not worth going, if it's less or the amount is the same, then don't be afraid and fly, everything is fine, but if you're unpretentious like us, we weren't bored for a second,the days flew by just like a blink,we got up at 5:50 a.m. at dawn and in 22:00-23:00 we were already asleep, we were not interested in hanging out until the morning, we flew across the ocean and exotic nature, we got it in full, the rest was, if not perfect, then simply incredible, despite minor incidents in the form of cockroaches, mosquitoes and spiders)))Be sure to take sun protection, it is unrealistically hot and in a good mood, so it will be easier to "survive" the 14.5-hour flight (although there were no problems with the flight, the flight was at night and we flew perfectly, they fed 2 times, served drinks 4 times, gave a blanket and a pillow, the distance between the seats is enough to stretch out).
We already dream of going back there, but we want to go to Cayo Coco Island, we like to visit different places))))

The cuisine is pretty average even for Cuba. There is pork, goulash with beef, chicken, rice and vegetables, sweets are just tasteless buns, only tasteless (tasteless) cakes for dinner. The hotel itself (the main large multi-level building) is very green inside, real palm trees, white walls and railings everywhere, generally very pleasant, there is an elevator, shops. Every evening there is animation in different formats. If you don't drink at all, it will be a bit boring 😉 score 4 as usual for the beautiful ocean, for the pleasant workers who try! We lived a kilometer away, also in a hotel - everything was fine, but I do not advise you to relax here. Unpleasant impressions are included in this "all inclusive". The food is delicious, but in the end it's sad.
