A good budget option close to the beach and the necessary infrastructure. Near the hotel there is an exchange office, many restaurants and cafes, pharmacies, as well as shops and souvenir shops with jewelry, fruits and clothes. There are also buses that can be used to get to the neighboring districts of Goa cheaply. Oxford Shopping Center is located not far from the hotel. There are taxi drivers near the hotel who will take you wherever you want. The hotel itself has Wi-Fi, a nice pool that is cleaned every day, breakfast is monotonous tea with milk, omelets and toasts with jam, in the hotel cafe you can eat well for cheap, as well as in the cafe the staff can prepare seafood for you bought at the local market, for a small fee! The room itself is clean, there are no cockroaches or other insects, hot and cold water was constantly and without interruptions, there were no problems with the light either. Room cleaning according to your request. The refrigerator is located in the hallway on the floor, it is shared. The room
has good air conditioning and a fan. It's a 5-7-minute walk to the beach, there are a lot of shacks on the beach, there are a lot of discos and nightclubs at night, there are rocks on the beach, the water is clear and a little cloudy, there are a lot of cows and dogs.
The location is good, there are many cafes and shops near the bus station, a 20-minute walk to the exchanger and the Oxford supermarket, and a 30-minute walk to the beach suitable for swimming. The staff is mostly responsive, they try their best to make the tourist happy, special thanks to the manager Sylvester and the chef, but there are also scumbags who try to breed vacationers, especially tipsy ones, by slipping them additional bills or extorting money from them for gifts, with me there are two such types (the photo will be below, there is also a video on my YouTube channel James Arneman) bred a tourist from Kazakhstan to transfer them $ 1,000 for an upcoming wedding, the bearded waiter, when you asked him for something, turned away and was rude, muttering softly, but if you didn't pay attention to all these points, it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't go here a second time.
North Goa! Villa Anjuna hotel, a calm hotel, excellent staff, on-demand cleaning, problems are solved quickly, breakfast is the same type of omelet, tea/coffee, toast butter/jam, 7-10 minutes to the beach, the sea is warm, there are many locals, there are stones in the water - be careful, grocery store 5 min walk, there is everything there is no shampoo, soap, etc. in the hotel, toilet paper is also brought on demand, there is a currency exchange near the hotel - the exchange rate is good, payment by card (not Russian Federation) is possible, but not everywhere.. You can pay with a card in the store, in some cafes on the beach you can also pay with a card, in the cafe at the hotel there is no such possibility-only cash, they took excursions "all of Goa in 1 day" - $ 45 per person, interesting!
We have been vacationing in Goa since 2011, mainly Anjuna, Vagator. This hotel is the first one, it was chosen because of its location and price. It is conveniently located relative to the Oxford supermarket, the main intersection where taxi drivers stand and there is a bus stop. The beach is nearby, but you probably won't swim there, and that's why: rocks and a lot of locals. They come here on buses, hang out until the evening, loud music and a lot of garbage after them. If you are without a bike, then you just need to walk along the beach to the very end, the Indians practically do not reach there, and there is nothing for them to do there, there are mostly Europeans and Russians. If you have the desire and opportunity (international rights with category A or their photos), then you can go for a ride on different beaches. Renting a bike from us cost 400 rupees per day, including rent from 10 days. This year (with us) they made a good asphalt road, so you can drive.
The hotel offered an omelette, toast with butter or jam and tea/coffee for breakfast. For payment, you can order something from the available menu. The hotel staff is very friendly, always with a smile, they meet you halfway. We didn't get a particularly good room, we stopped by at 2 a.m. In the morning, the reception asked for a change and we were changed to a room with a balcony (no extra charge). The rooms are just day and night: a shithouse and a normal room. So keep in mind. There's a TV on the wall, but it doesn't work. I caught Wi-Fi on the balcony, in the lobby and in the "restaurant". There is a refrigerator, but it is shared on the entire floor. In fact, only we used it, because others either didn't know about it or didn't need to. Cold water can be bought at the hotel for 20 rupees at any time. The pool is nice and clean. Comfortable accommodation will depend on who else is staying with you at the hotel. It was different for us in 2 weeks. There may be drunken conversations by the pool, where you can hear every word, music may be playing, or there may be complete silence, so it's impossible to predict. You do not need to leave food in the room at night, because ants will resort to it and you will no longer be able to eat it later, it is better to take it to the refrigerator. In the evening, there are a lot of mosquitoes both outside and in the room. It is necessary to smear something or turn on the fumigator. The proximity of Oxford is conducive to multiple trips there. Cola + rum will allow you to disinfect the body a little and not get sick. In the store you can buy toothpaste, shampoo and a variety of food. There are dairy products and a special department with meat. Vegetables and fruits are sold on the street nearby. Prices are very low, for example cherry tomatoes 150 rupees per kg, pineapple went for 60-70 rupees. There is a pharmacy across the street from the store. You can take a bus to Mapsa (20-30 rupees), there is a huge market, and from there buses run in different directions. There is a currency exchange near the hotel (in the direction of the store), we had the following exchange rate: dollar 82-83 rupees, ruble 0.9 rupees. It is more profitable, of course, with dollars. On Wednesdays, as always, there is a market in Anjun, only now it is 3-4 times smaller than it was before.
This is the second time in this hotel, the staff is very friendly, they try at the first call. The pool is clean, the rooms are different, there are clean and bright rooms, there are dark and gloomy ones, in general, as luck would have it. There is a cafe at the hotel, the chicken in masala is very tasty, the most important thing is to say a magic phrase: "But chili." It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the beach, you can not swim in the sea everywhere, there are stones. There is an Oxford supermarket nearby and many cafes within walking distance. When you first visit India for a couple of days, there will be a cultural shock, after which you either fall in love with the country or hate it. Indians give the impression of happy people, really on the positive side, and of course the local exoticism in the form of cows and packs of harmless dogs)))
By the standards of north Goa, a great hotel, with friendly people who work there. We always went to a meeting, helped and greeted with a smile. We lived there for two years in a row, the second time we went purposefully to this hotel
It is very close to the beach, on Wednesdays you can walk along the beach to the day market, there is a very cool Oasis cafe nearby. There is a supermarket 5-7 minutes walk away. The rooms in the hotel are good enough, if you leave the keys at the reception, they will be cleaned at least every day. There is a swimming pool and a cafe on site. The staff is all very friendly, there is Wi-Fi, catches even in the room
A wonderful place and, not least, a very good kitchen!Friendly staff! The bed linen is CLEAN (it is often written that this is a problem in India)I will definitely have the opportunity to come or just stop by to chat with the wonderful people working there🤗😘
