Amazing place, really liked the atmosphere and the feeling of being there.
Inside there is a museum, seminary and much more.
I as a Muslim was very pleased to visit this object, the impression of purity and spirituality without a huge number of tourists - like in Hagia Sophia or the blue mosque.

Architecturally and historically not significant at all. All of the other reviews are made up to make it look like an important landmark but it isn’t. There are many beautiful mosques in the city. This is NOT one of them.

I recommend you to visit! A mosque of impressive scale and beauty of the interior, colored mosaics and stained glass windows inside, high ceilings and a peaceful atmosphere, very clean and not as crowded as in the center! It is located on a hill with a small green park around!
And be sure to visit the museum on the other hand, it is not on this map: a very stylish modern interior and antiques, a cool light performance - I was happy myself as a child :)

The majestic mosque building is of incredible size. A perfect fusion of modern and classical Ottoman architecture. The interior is decorated in bright colors. There is a women's room inside, parking in the area. Escalators can be used to reach the mosque itself. Inside there are elevators for lifting to the upper floors.
It's a great place for tourists. I recommend you to visit. The courtyard offers stunning views of the Asian part of Istanbul. There is a beautiful and spacious park nearby.

The Chamlıca Mosque is the most beautiful mosque in Istanbul that I have ever seen. It simply amazes with its size and grandeur. A place where it takes your breath away.

The entrance is free, you can go inside, as always I got to read the prayer.
The mosque is located at the top, so it offers a wonderful view of the whole city. I came in the evening and found a great panoramic sunset.
There are very few tourists, you can safely take a picture with a wonderful view
Nearby there is a lawn and benches where you can enjoy the view of the mosque and the city view.
I am glad that I came in the evening and saw the mosque with lights.

From the Uskyudar pier on # 15 buses you can quickly get there, a very beautiful mosque, the entrance to the museum and the light show is 250 liras (for 24 months in August), the territory and views are beautiful. There is a migros nearby (the final stop), (you can buy inexpensive sweets as a gift, olive oil, etc.) cheaper than in the center of the old town.

The largest mosque. It is very beautiful and majestic. It takes your breath away when you visit. I highly recommend it. The costs are only for the way to it and back. In addition to the mosque, you can enjoy panoramic views of Istanbul because the mosque is on a good hill. Nearby, across the street, you can have a cheap snack before and after the visit (as you wish).

It's an amazing place, you can see it from the European part, but don't be lazy to visit the mosque. There is also an Islamic museum there, it will be very interesting to visit.

Chamlıca Mosque in Istanbul

it's a must-visit, no matter which side you live on, and no matter how long it takes to get there,
you won't regret it.
It took us a long time to get from Fatih, but it was worth it.
We visited it in November 2024 and saw a banner not far away, on which there was a plan to carry the metro to this place. (It will be very convenient to get to it soon, if not already)
What a beauty has opened up before us, it cannot be described,
you really need to see it with your own eyes 👀
The size of the mosque is simply not real. You can walk there all day and not get around everything.
I don't see any point in telling the story of this mosque , if anyone is interested , they will find it on the Internet .,
I want to assure you of one thing -
Visiting this rather young mosque will leave no less positive impressions of its beauty and power - and absolutely (FOR FREE)

Hagia Sophia (which is absolutely incomparable, but at the time of our arrival it cost € 25 per person (and there are three of us) and we were only allowed to walk along the upper tier,
and it took us no more than 15 minutes.

This is a very beautiful mosque! Come in the evening, everything is glowing beautifully. Admission is free, better than all the mosques we've visited (even Hagia Sophia doesn't have a paid entrance nearby). The Great Mosque of Chamlyja is impressive from a distance, it can be seen from the windows of the bus as soon as you start approaching the mountain.
The mosque was built using the most modern technologies, built in 2019 and is the largest in Turkey!
I recommend setting aside time not only for the mosque itself, but also for the observation deck.
