It is a bit old but at least both domestic and international flights depart from one building. Unlike in Tashkent, which is a nightmare. :) They also sell a variaty of tasty Uzbek bread at the Urgench airport.

A normal functional airport, everything is very clear on arrival, there are a lot of working booths at passport control. There is no exchanger, but there is an ATM terminal with an exchange function, which is very convenient. The course is the same as in the city (where you still need to look for exchangers).
On departure, everything is more tedious and longer (all procedures). There is no normal WiFi, that is, networks without a password are (allegedly) visible, but to connect to one you need to receive SMS, and they do not seem to come to Russian numbers, it also did not work out what exactly, I will not say now.

In general, there are no complaints. A small airport, one cafe (cappuccino 40,000 soums), a small duty free, one boarding gate, the staff is polite, they work quickly during inspection and control.
A small disadvantage is that they announce the start of boarding once and in not very intelligible Russian. However, by the end of boarding, the passengers who have not appeared are announced, and they also walk around the hall and shout.

Hello. I flew to Moscow at 20:40 on February 5, 2025, with Aeroflot. I am a group 2 disabled person and I needed an accompanying employee, right to my seat in the cabin of the plane. At the first reception desk (on the left) the employee checked me in, sent me an escort, he took me in a wheelchair separately from the passengers, took me to the plane and sat me down in a chair. I would like to express my gratitude to the attendant and especially to the staff member at the first reception desk, on the left. There was a young guy. Unfortunately, I didn't look at his name tag.
I also want to thank the airport doctor named Salomat, unfortunately I don't know her last name. She is kind, sympathetic and a professional in her field.

The only plus is a lot of seating and the seats are quite comfortable in the waiting room for international flights. The toilet (I can only say about the men's one) has only 2 seats and is dirty. The hall itself is clean. There is a vending machine for drinks. The tax free is filled with strong alcohol and almost everything. Russian rubles and cards are not "playing". You can drink tea and coffee. There are no souvenirs. There are no Uzbek sweets. They walked out of the building to the plane. Such a provincial international.

The airport is clean and bright, the staff is friendly, located within the city limits. Of the minuses: there was a flight delay, no announcement, registration was delayed for 2 hours - I found out about the reasons for the delay only by looking at the schedule of the airport from where the plane took off (there is nothing before the preflight inspection and customs, we just stood and waited for two hours. There is a cafe in the boarding lounge, you can drink coffee and buy a magnet. There is a very small dutik, but it was closed (8 am). In short, do not arrive for departure in 2 hours

I don't know who writes that this is a functional airport?! It's an absolutely disgusting place in terms of work organization, with barely living people working at the check-in desks. When passing through the border control, showing the QR-cod during online registration, they spread their hands and did not understand what to do at all, although they may have thought that I was showing them from Covida, which is why they were so horrified. After the border guards, a huge traffic jam awaits for inspection. Going through a pre-flight inspection is generally a circus, 8 people look at one monitor and people walk through one at a time, which again creates a traffic jam, it's probably hard for them to split into 4 people and open 2 inspection lines. And if you smoke, then don't take expensive lighters or gift ones, they will force you to throw them away. (Although it is possible almost everywhere, but here Urgench surprised me). The only thing is that the hall is large and spacious. And in all other respects, the sluggish staff who walks with such an air that without the approval of each of them you will not be able to fly away)) The flight was delayed for an hour at first, but no one said anything about it, the representative of Uzbek Airlines is simply not to be found here. And after 1.5 hours, they said in a hoarse sleepy voice that the flight was postponed for 4 hours. This is such a wonderful airport, but someone must be used to this service, good luck!

If you arrive at night or early in the morning, then do not expect anything good.
There is no currency exchange here (have you ever seen this, an airport without an exchanger?), there is nowhere to eat, even an ATM(!!!!) It doesn't work🤦
Comrades, if you want to save on electricity, it's better to turn off the sign than the ATM.
And yes, by opening a couple of cafes, you will earn so much that you will not have to save.

Hello!It's a nice small comfortable airport, but it's very inconvenient for an evening passenger. It's very dark around the airport. 3 people fell today. Two of us fell into a pit with bags of luggage. There were four of us, we were flying as a family from Moscow. Thank God, my sister didn't fall, she was holding her three-year-old daughter in her arms. Yes, no one was hurt, but we were scared, our hands were scratched and bleeding, and we went to a dirty house. In our case, due to the delay of the Ural Airlines flight, it was closed. 3-4 foreign flights depart there per day. So be careful. There is also a cafe with coffee and sandwiches. A small airport. There is no business lounge. There is a dutik. The rest of the sum can be spent in the buffet, buy coffee from the coffee machine and samsa. The staff is nice and friendly. In the buffet, you can pay in rubles, the exchange rate is worse than that of the money changers by 3 ... 5%.

A typical provincial small airport. It's great that Aeroflot has direct flights to Moscow. We flew from here to Tashkent, the waiting area is large, there is a toilet, there is a cafe, there is even some kind of duty free. I take off the star for the lack of any information boards about flight delays. I had to get the information from a megaphone, and the sound was terrible.

It's about the building for international flights. It is very spacious and clean. A new building, it's impossible to get lost. Passport control had only one booth for foreigners, you leave in advance on big holidays. Waiting room for 2-3 flights at the same time. I have food and taxis, but I don't use them at airports. They are not always so kind and friendly. The airport area is always clean and tidy.
