We had a vacation with my Wife from October 27 to November 1. We really liked the hotel, the price is inexpensive. comfortable, convenient,reception on the 1st floor,there are excursions that can be ordered, taken away and brought to the hotel, the room has a balcony, toilet combined with shower, refrigerator, TV, Wi-Fi,large bed,bedside tables,wardrobe,air conditioning (warm and cold air is supplied) on the 1st floor there is a shared kitchen with all utensils. the sea is nearby, near the market, red and white, the center. everything to choose from .The hosts are friendly, sociable, advised and helped with excursions, it was very cool, we really liked it, I hope we will definitely come again)

Excellent location of the guest house, close to the sea. Clean rooms, cleaning on demand. Friendly staff and especially friendly hosts. The kitchen is convenient for cooking. All appliances in the room were available and in good condition. As a wish, I would like to note that in rooms where there is no balcony, a clothesline or a larger dryer should be added. In general , I liked everything very much .👍

We had a vacation with my mother and child in Sukhum in August 2023, the Central Guest House. Very good hotel, convenient location, close to the sea 5 min, 7-10 min to the center, shops, market, dining room, bus stops, everything is nearby. The hotel is new and modern, everything is clean and tidy, the rooms have a large bed (we also had a separate 2-bedroom cot), a table, bedside tables, a wardrobe. There is an ironing board and iron on each floor, and a large kitchen with dishes downstairs.
The hosts are just super, very nice, kind and helpful people. Thanks to them for the time spent with them, they helped, they suggested excursions, they advised. I recommend.

We stayed at the guest house from September 2 to September 14, 2023. We were satisfied. Convenient location, near the market, beach, dining room, bakery. Hospitable hosts, this is a family business. Excursions can be taken directly at the hotel. You will always be woken up and escorted. All issues are resolved instantly. Amenities in the room, a spacious kitchen-living room, where there is everything you need for cooking. Stable Wi-Fi.

The hotel is suitable for one night. I do not recommend planning accommodation there for the entire vacation. The location is convenient, but it also has a disadvantage that it is a roadway, an intersection, constant noise from the street, from the road, repairs are underway right in front of the building with a jackhammer! The host is friendly and courteous. But when he is not in the workplace, the staff lives their own lives and does not follow what is happening. It smells of smoke immediately, from the entrance. There is mold in the rooms, it is clear that this is the climate, but it needs to be cleaned, it is harmful to the body.

Good afternoon! We were once again convinced that the Republic of Abkhazia will never stand on a par with developed resorts. The Central Guest House greeted us with friendly hosts, but the room was not ready, although we arrived at 16-00, we waited for about half an hour.On the day of arrival, we said that the toilet does not work, the air conditioner is faulty and the refrigerator does not freeze. They walk, make gestures, violent activity, but nothing changes. We lived for two days with a flaky toilet, no refrigerator, no air conditioner, but we were given a heater that did not heat when the lights were turned off. But smiles, advice and positivity!!! But with a broken toilet!!!
We were in Abkhazia in 2007, nothing has changed in 2024!!!

At first glance, a good guest house with a shared kitchen, with a sufficient set of dishes, you can cook yourself something. The economy 2-bed room is so small that it is impossible to disperse together (one person needs to get on the bed).There is a sickening smell of sewage in the bathroom, it is necessary to constantly pour water into the sewer manhole.Noise around the clock from the road under the windows and the laia of dogs (there are a lot of stray dogs and they are big, but this is a problem of the city).The owners are friendly, responsive, although they categorically refused to refund the money, because we wanted to move out, but changed the room to the other side of the road, although it did not save us from barking dogs. We won't go to Sukhum anymore, besides, the sea is dirty (we rented a car and went to Gagra or Pitsunda to swim, by the way, the car was just killed).

Not a bad guest house. The room has everything you need: a bed, two curbstones, a wardrobe, a table on wheels, a mini-refrigerator, a dressing table, a bathroom with all amenities, several towels even.
Downstairs on the ground floor, you can warm up food, warm up the kettle, drink tea or coffee. Within walking distance of a convenience store and cafes.
The only thing is to take all bath accessories with you, because they are not included in the service!

There was a real shit in the room, well, it's very neglected in terms of cleaning (its absence): the linen is all covered in dried mosquitoes, dirt on the floors, in the bathroom, in the shower, to be honest, against this background, the broken locks in the room and on the balcony and one dim blue energy-saving light bulb are trifles. The main problem is that no one bothered to prepare the room for the guests to move in normally. For this price, in the same Sochi in the off-season, you can rent excellent modern rooms, but here there is longing and sadness... There is only one plus - the location (center). I do not recommend it.

Of the advantages, only the location. We stayed in a double room on the second floor. There is a damp smell inside, mold on the windows and walls, behind the bedside table. The cleaning was done in a hurry, more for visibility. The Internet catches strictly opposite the front door, although the router is installed next to the room. The price is too high, repairs and mold removal are required. It is suitable to spend the night or if there is no other option.

We stayed for 1 night on December 14, because we decided not to return to Gagra, but to walk around Sukhum in the morning.
The furniture, the convenience are all good, but it's very cold. In general, there is no heating in Abkhazia, only heaters.It was raining in the afternoon and the heater was turned on before our arrival. Thanks for the comfort

The rest was a success. The hotel is very good. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. The room has a refrigerator, a bathroom. On the ground floor there is a huge kitchen where you can cook, chat with other visitors and with very hospitable hosts. And most importantly, the sea is a five-minute walk away. We stayed at the Central Hotel in June 2021. Booked at the Booking Office.
This is a family guest house, the owner Irakli, answered all our questions during the booking of the room. We asked for a large room with two beds and a balcony, which, in principle, was provided to us. However, the second bed was slightly different from the first, in size. If the first one was a good double bed, then the second one was a single bed with a not very good mattress. The room was cleaned, as we later realized, when leaving the keys at the reception desk. Towels are provided (one large, one medium and for feet). A hairdryer is available on request. Irakli's father is in the house around the clock, to whom you can contact for any household issues, with questions about excursions and reservations, and he will kindly fulfill them. In the afternoon, Irakli's brother appears, to whom you can also turn with any question.
It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the sea along a not very good road past abandoned buildings. There is a nice dining room next to the guest house, where we always had breakfast and had dinner a couple of times (on a tip from brother Irakli). The prices are excellent, the dishes are delicious, the staff is friendly with an Abkhazian flavor.
The guest house is located next to the market, which is very convenient. The prices on the market differ in order, you need to go and get a price. Locals will always tell you where and from whom it is better to get homemade cheese, churchkhela and adjika.
It takes 15-20 minutes to walk to the center of Sukhumi (this did not bother us, we like to walk). The botanical garden and the monkey nursery are also 20-25 minutes away on foot.
You can also arrange a transfer from and to the airport with Irakli without any problems. I can't tell you the price. We successfully rented a car in Sukhumi, which was brought to us at the border. And we got to Sukhumi ourselves without any problems and went to the sights of Abkhazia using the navigator. By the way, when entering Abkhazia, purchase a local SIM card, it will be very useful, since Russian ones will already be roaming. We were here in August 2021 with a company of 12 people for 2 weeks, so this review is not from one person, but from a group of comrades for whom the vacation spent at the Tsentralny Guest house was the first visit to Abkhazia. And largely thanks to the hospitality of the host of the guest house and his family members, we really enjoyed our trip, we appreciated the beauty of this country and want to return to Abkhazia again!
If you are planning a trip to Sukhum, then the Tsentralny Guest House is an ideal accommodation option! Firstly, there are several two–room rooms designed for families of more than 3 people (when I was choosing accommodation options in Abkhazia, I was very surprised by the fact that finding a room for 4 people is a whole problem. It seems that people come to Abkhazia exclusively for 2 or 3 people, but no more). The one-room rooms of the guest house are also very spacious, there are both double and triple rooms.
Secondly, the Tsentralny Guest House is very well located: it is not far to go to the beach along a straight street, there are several supermarkets and small shops nearby, several pharmacies. There is a city market within walking distance, where it is much more profitable to buy fruits, vegetables, meat, souvenirs, spices. There is an ATM near the market and a minibus stop that allows you to get to the Mocha beach and the Kyndyg thermal spring. From the guest house, in 20 minutes with the children, we walked to the Botanical Garden of Sukhum, in 15 minutes to the central square, to the main embankment, on which there are many cafes and a marina with a motor ship, on which you can ride in the evening (the sunset is amazing) or in the afternoon. On the next street there is the dining room Elbrus with a good selection of dishes, home cooking, humane prices, but because of all this and with queues. We had lunch there every day when we weren't on excursions, no one had digestive problems.
Thirdly, the guest house itself has good solid furniture, perfectly white bed linen and towels, air conditioning in every room, balconies with a dryer with clothespins in each room, excellent plumbing. On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen-dining room with new dishes, plenty of dishes for cooking (there is even a toaster and coffee makers), dishwashing detergent and everything you need. There is enough space for all guests, everything is very CLEAN, there is air conditioning in the lobby and in the dining room. Room cleaning and bed linen change on request, the maid is a very nice girl, you can use the washing machine. All guests are given the keys to the intercom to enter the guest house, as the door of the guest house closes after 19.00 so that there are no outsiders. The only wish is to improve the wi–fi signal on the 2nd and 3rd floors (catches only in rooms located near the stairs). The Internet is working fine on the ground floor.
I would like to say a special HUGE THANK YOU to the owner of the guest house Irakli and his family members for their hospitality and excellent sincere attitude towards the guests. Irakli organizes a transfer from Sochi and back, helps to organize trips for individual excursions in comfortable minibuses with good drivers. Irakli advised us really very beautiful places to visit and good cafes with normal service and toilets (this is important with children). The owner of the guest house and his family members helped us with solving household issues, treated us with wine and compote))), treated our requests very responsibly! It is clear that these wonderful people treat their guests with respect and without the slightest irritation or negativity.

Excellent guest house in Sukhum. I only stay there on vacation. Excellent location in the city center. The central market is a 7-minute walk away. Nearby there is a wonderful dining room with delicious homemade food within a 2-3 minute walk. The sea is 10 minutes away. Nice and clean rooms, there is a washing machine, a large kitchen.
