Oh! To say it's delicious is not enough for this pilaf!!! It's amazing, incomparable!!!
I've tried pilaf in Uzbekistan many times - this one is just a bomb! The service is excellent, well done guys
My recommendation! You should definitely try this pilaf in Samarkand!
Great place: the pilaf is delicious, the service is fast, the prices are reasonable. We were caught in December, when it was snowing and a number of cafes and restaurants were closed due to lack of electricity. The interior is simple, but this place does not claim to be a restaurant. We were here two years ago, at the moment everything is unchanged - the pilaf is still delicious.
Oh..
great place
Everything is very fast
A serving of pilaf - half a kilo
I didn't finish half the portion.
Not because it doesn't taste good.
Very! delicious
Half a portion of pilaf + salads to choose from+tea with sweets+homemade dried apricot compote at the pilaf Center chain restaurant - 300 rubles
Very tasty and inexpensive pilaf. Fast service. The staff speaks Russian. It is always crowded, it is necessary to order a table. The salads are fresh and very tasty. The cooking and serving process can be observed from behind the glass.
It looks simple, but very cute. Very clean. The pilaf was VERY tasty, the fat just melted in my mouth, and the compote was like in childhood. Fast super service and attentive and friendly staff. Thank you very much!!
Uzbek Pilaf Center: Where Golden rice becomes art
There is a special alchemy in this spacious hall, which can accommodate almost half of Tashkent. Here, under high arches decorated with traditional patterns, pilaf is born in huge cauldrons, similar to ancient cauldrons, worthy of a khan's feast.
The aroma of cumin, mutton and caramelized onions is in the air as an insistent reminder: this is not just food, but the cultural code of an entire nation. Each grain of rice here is a separate story, soaked in velvety fat and the generosity with which guests are treated in Uzbekistan.
The consistency is perfect: the rice is not smeared, but also not dry, while maintaining a slight elasticity. Lamb melts in your mouth, as it should, and carrots, cut into strips, add sweetness, balancing on the edge between hearty and delicious.
The interior is a celebration of national flavor without excessive theatricality. Long wooden tables, low sofas with colorful cushions, walls decorated with handmade ceramics — everything here works for one purpose: to make you feel like not just a visitor, but a participant in a centuries-old tradition.
Noisy, lively, authentic — this restaurant has long been a place of pilgrimage for both tourists and locals who know a lot about real pilaf. If there is a reference dish anywhere in the world, it is served here in portions capable of feeding a small wedding.
The verdict: It's not just lunch. This is a gastronomic journey, where every spoonful of pilaf is a reminder that real cuisine does not tolerate fuss. Without Michelin stars, but with a generosity worthy of a sheikh.
Excellent pilaf. Wonderful pilaf, delicious herbs, good tea. Everything is clean, the waiters work quickly, the menu is original, immediately brought out on a tray for selection.
Get the pilaf right here! First of all! Everything is clean, all the staff are in uniform and wearing hats. Secondly, the service is very fast, everything is very convenient. And of course, the most important thing is that the pilaf is excellent. We took it with beef, perfect!
We prepared in advance, read the reviews and went straight to the opening, because everything ends at ~ 13, and the sign at the entrance is turned over to "no pilaf".
When we arrived, there was only one company, and we were offered to choose a cot or an ordinary table, we settled on the usual one.
There were a lot of waiters, and after half an hour I realized why - the guests had taken all the tables.…
Thanks to the early arrival, we managed to film the salad vendor and the kitchen.
Salads are available to choose from in addition to the main course. I didn't risk trying pickled onions and unfamiliar foods, and I was satisfied with the vegetables.
About 10 minutes later, the first portion of pilaf with mutton arrived.
In the video, 1/2 portion (about 500-700 g)
of rice is crumbly, moderately fatty, the meat is stratified into fibers (I did not smell like mutton), the desire to add ketchup did not arise. It was over even before the second portion with beef was taken out…
The second option, and there are only 2 of them here, a full portion... barely managed, it's sooooo delicious. If you can have an orgasm with your mouth, then it was.
An important point to remember for future videos: the carrots here are not boiled, although they are prepared on an industrial scale.
Of the disadvantages, I can note the cooling of the pilaf, you need to have time to eat a portion for 2-3-4 people, until the fat in the dish cools, or drink tea, but not quite that.
Another disadvantage is that it is impossible to stop ... calculate in advance, otherwise it will be difficult to walk.
Total:
Design 7/10
Taste 10/10
Satiety/size 10/10
Service 8/10
Price-quality 9/10

The overall subjective rating is 9/10
I'll remember this breakfast for a long time, maybe I'll decide to come again.
The pilaf is amazing, the serving is pleasantly pleasing, the service is fast, BUT ONE THING IS
The establishment has a front entrance where expensive cars stop, "respectable" people come out, the doors helpfully open, but we can't go there (everything is occupied, go down to the basement)
There are also two halls in the basement, both are half-empty, but we are also not allowed to enter one of the halls and only a hall with dining tables, running staff and a kitchen behind a screen is free.
While we were having lunch, some of the tourists just left, some of them, after long arguments, beat out a better place for themselves in the hall.
Apparently the place has earned itself a rating and a name, and then (read above)))....
We tried both pilafs, which are served at the pilaf center. I liked it better with lamb, it turned out to be more fragrant and tender, with a pronounced cumin flavor. The beef was simpler, but also quite decent. The salads were fresh and delicious too. The service was fast, we were in the hall with the waiters, and it was possible to serve ourselves, in which case we would not have to pay additional interest. By one o'clock, while we were eating, the whole pilaf was over :-)
Eating real Uzbek pilaf was my dream. I performed it right here. It's very tasty, it's the best I've ever tasted in Samarkand.
We arrived around 1 p.m., and found a table without any problems. The service is very polite and fast.
We had one pilaf for two, salad and tea. We are 100 percent satisfied.
In Uzbekistan, each region/viloyat prepares pilaf in its own way. Samarkand pilaf is famous for the fact that carrots and rice are served separately, with rice and carrots and meat on top. After going to Samarkand, I decided to try the local pilaf, everyone pointed to the Pilaf Center 1. The first time I managed to get there, the pilaf ends before 14:00 in the afternoon. The next day I booked a table in advance and let's go.
The center of Pilov 1 is located 20 minutes drive from the center.
The restaurant is bright and cozy, there are a lot of tourists. I would say "Express" service, as soon as you approach the table, the waiter immediately brings a tray of salads, followed by a patir and tea. And only then the order is accepted. Pilaf is cooked on mutton and beef. I chose lamb without fat 0.5 portion. A very good serving 0.5 servings is a whole medium glass. Very satisfying. But, I didn't like the pilaf much on the "4"
Very tasty pilaf, the ratio of tourists and local citizens is 50/50, which indicates a good price/quality ratio. Don't expect a special entourage, there are no circuses with tambourines and super giveaways, the food makes up for everything. Feel free to come. Check the availability of pilaf, we arrived at 14:00, the pilaf was already over.
You have to come before 14:00, then the pilaf ends :) We barely made it
We really liked the restaurant! Delicious, a lot, healthy, cheap. Great pilaf, great snacks.
It's a great place to have lunch! Very tasty! Very fast! Without the right to choose a dish)) Only very tasty pilaf! Well, okay, you can choose the appetizers for the pilaf...But, pilaf will choose you himself!)))
We arrived at 13 and there was already a sign saying there was no pilaf. The experienced guide said that you need to present yourself as a blogger and they let you through without any problems.
The pilaf was very tasty, the only thing was the rice was a little harsh. The prices are very cheap compared to other places.
But for this price you get a very tasty pilaf, tea (we took it with lemon)
I definitely advise you to visit.
Excellent pilaf is offered in this Center. We really liked the Samarkand pilaf. The portions are large, take one serving for two. A good tomato and onion salad. Very tasty Uzbek tea with lemon.
I tried Samarkand pilaf here. I'm not a big fan of pilaf, but it turned out to be very local. If you like fatty pilaf with mutton and mutton fat (rice is also soaked in it), then velkam. If you do not eat fatty foods, it is better to take small portions or one for two. I liked the menu not on paper, but directly physically on the tray. And the Samarkand baklava with green tea was very pleasant, yes.
The most delicious pilaf of Uzbekistan in Samarkand. And the most delicious pilaf of Samarkand is in the Center of pilaf. A very cool approach. The client came, they bring him a choice of several vegetable salads, they immediately bring pilaf and green tea (if you don't want green, they will bring black tea). Everything is perfect for me, just like I wanted it to be. The interior is pleasant, the guys speak different languages. Come. Bon appetit 😋
The classic pilaf center. What to say. It's a beautiful and very distinctive place. The original way of serving snacks. They take everything out to you on a big platter and you choose according to the fact. Everything is good and delicious.
Delicious pilaf, great atmosphere, both tourists and locals come to dine here. In addition, it is located not far from the historical center of the city.
We thought that the place was just overstuffed, but after taking 2.5 servings of pilaf with mutton, tea, and 5 salads, we ate everything, four of us, for 2.5 thousand. Russian, we were happy as elephants, we went to dinner, only at 8. Delicious, not expensive, clean, decorous, excellent service!
Great place, I liked everything. The pilaf is delicious, it still needs to be done, and the service is also pleasant. Thank you for the efforts of the staff of the institution!!!!
We came to this pilaf center on purpose, having read the impressions of those who visited here. We arrived at 13.20. There is an inscription at the entrance: "There is pilaf." Hurray! It turned out, however, that I had already finished with the lamb, I stayed with the beef, but this did not spoil the impression. There are a lot of people, 3 large halls. The pilaf is wonderful, the order was accepted quickly, it was delivered quickly. Highly recommend it!
When I come to any country, taxi drivers, local guides, so to speak, always help me. I immediately ask where to go to eat delicious local cuisine and without pathos. This is one of the listed ones, how can there be no pilaf in Samarkand. Delicious, affordable.. real pilaf and its accompanying delicacies..
Very tasty pilaf, good atmosphere. National cuisine. But the other dishes didn't make an impression, maybe it was just unusual. In general, I recommend the establishment.
I'm not a big fan of pilaf, but the pilaf here is excellent. A variety of additives are offered for pilaf. You need to arrive before ~12:30-13h. Then there will be seats in the hall on the ground floor and pilaf. After 13h there are no seats in the main hall, and you will be offered to the 1st floor. It's less cozy there).
Very very tasty! And it's not expensive. You can eat enough pilaf for the whole day. Such pilaf has never been eaten anywhere else. The service is good, everything is top notch
Total disappointment! If you call the institution Pilaf Center number 1, then you need to somehow match it. It is aimed only at the local audience. They are both welcomed and fed. We came to Uzbekistan for a visit and did not encounter such an attitude in the pilaf Centers in Bukhara and Tashkent. First, we were kicked out of the main hall to the lower hall, and then we sat for 25 minutes waiting for at least someone to come up and take the order. At the same time, we ourselves periodically asked the passing staff to pay attention to us, but it was useless. We left without tasting the Samarkand pilaf.
Just fire. I come by every day for lunch on vacation. Fast, incredibly tasty, everything is fresh. Before you have time to sit down, they are already flying up to you, offering salads to choose from. The feast of the stomach, no other way
A place for tourists... Pilaf is inexpensive. Well, a lot of people. There are 4 types of pilaf to choose from, you can pay for it at the checkout, pick it up from the cauldron yourself and go look for a free table. Or you can first choose a table and order pilaf, salad, flatbread, tea from the waiter. But keep in mind that you will pay in addition to the cost of pilaf, for the service. The pilaf is normal, but it did not cause delight.
Delicious and very affordable . We were a big company, we got 50,000 soums per person for everything. The pilaf is delicious, but I didn't notice any difference with Bukhara pilaf. We need to make it to 14 o'clock, and there may not be any pilaf after that.
The most delicious pilaf, the first time I tried how pilaf is prepared in this institution, I was delighted, we ordered one portion, they brought it to us along with salads, which I can say we did not regret the meat, it was very tender, and the pilaf itself was very tasty
The place doesn't deserve your attention! If you want real pilaf, then this is definitely not the place for you! Many guides bring it here, that's why such ratings! Try real pilaf somewhere else and agree with me 100%! The rest is up to you. I came here for the sake of experiment, to objectively evaluate such high marks!
As for me, the best pilaf in Samarkand 😋
The prices are not above average, the portions are large. In the photo there is 1 portion of pilaf - we had enough for two of it and vegetables just for the eyes.
The feed takes about 15 minutes.
There are 3 halls in total: one large one on the ground floor and 2 more downstairs (right and left).
Bank cards, including China Union Pay, are accepted for payment
There are a lot of people, but they find places.
First, they bring a tray with salads, vegetables and fermented dairy products - you take what you need from it - this will then be taken into account in the order. And a flatbread with tea. Then 10 minutes later - pilaf. It is fragrant, the rice is not overcooked, and the meat melts in your mouth. There are also quail testicles. Well, it's very tasty!
It is better to come before 12 in the morning. At one o'clock in the afternoon, the pilaf may already be over.
I definitely recommend it!
The taste of pilaf is gorgeous, you can lick your fingers. The taste is incredible. Always the service is at 5 and to your taste. A favorite place of our local gourmets. It is chic, spacious and there are always a lot of tourists. Well done, I recommend guests and tourists who want to come to our ancient city of Samarkand.
The place is beautiful, the pilaf is delicious. We arrived after the pilaf was over. Literally took away one serving for two!! Thanks to the staff for their approach, courtesy and pleasant service
It turned out to be interesting! Note to tourists: pilaf in decent places in Uzbekistan is made from 11.00 to 13.00 (and the pilaf Center is no exception), pilaf is eaten at this time.
We did not know this, we walked to them for a very long time - we walked along the streets. We arrived at about 15.00 - on the door there is a sign "Pilaf is over!"…. That's it, it means they close the doors and don't work.
The heat, we're tired, hungry,…
The host placed us in a cool room, offered us water, helped with WI-FI so that we could order a taxi to another restaurant, Small things, and it is very pleasant - it shows the attitude towards the guests.
