On March 22, after a walk through Almaty celebrating Nauryz, they decided to refresh themselves. There are many cafes and restaurants in the area. But we chose the TSEKH restaurant because we had previously heard good reviews about it. Ausashar was approaching, so there were a lot of visitors. We barely found a table. The waiter brought only one menu for five, saying there was no more. It was probably a sign that we needed to run, but we had a child with us who hadn't eaten or drunk all day, and we needed to feed him. The choice of dishes was not very large, but it promised interesting gastronomic experiences. The open kitchen also added a certain flavor to the establishment. The order was accepted quickly. However, the waiter did not repeat it and practically ran away from our table without really listening to it. Then the wait began, which eventually lasted for an hour (although we did not order complicated, long-term cooking dishes). I had to ask the staff where our order was several times before they started bringing us food. The taste qualities of the dishes were mostly excellent. However, the long cooking and poor service ruined the whole experience. Well, the "cherry on the cake" of our visit was an argument with the waiter during the payment of the bill, when we saw that the burger we ordered was not prepared for us. To which the waiter replied that it was "we just thought" that we wanted to order it, but they told him something completely different. He knows his rights and will defend them. Apparently, everything is fine with the rights of the staff in the workshop, but the rights of consumers are clearly not in high esteem there. Well, in conclusion, I can't help but dwell on the dish that I personally ordered. It was kauyrdak. I waited for him for about 50 minutes. As a result, they brought me one boiled potato, cut into slices, on top of which they threw several pieces of meat from the besh, splashed a spoonful of broth and sprinkled with green onions. Perhaps the chef of this restaurant has such a personal vision of this dish, but I think the guys just didn't bother and brewed a cawdak from the existing preparations for the besh. This is the gift we received in Nauryz from the TSEKH restaurant. It's a shame, gentlemen restaurateurs!
It's delicious and quite atmospheric. Good staff. Convenient location. And if you also end up there with good company, then in general, there is practically no better place to find)

The kitchen is generally normal. But I was genuinely outraged by the wine situation. The wine list contains 3 items with an average price range (12-17000). Not a single wine from the card was available. We decided to order a second bottle. The sommelier came and started telling fairy tales. They accidentally asked the price of the bottle. Suddenly it's 80,000. We would hardly have been warned about this. A strange gray system from the early 2000s. You can find a better place.

We were there a month ago. We ordered a table, met, and sat down at a chic table behind a stained glass window. And they carried Petya's shoes:

2) minced meat! The most delicate with a hot tortilla, just have time to catch saliva
3) tartarus! It's actually something with something! A little fusion and not everyone will like it! But under the liqueurs, there's just something divine!

Despite the extensive menu, which presents almost all the cuisines of the world (dumplings, borscht, pastas of several types, tom yama, etc.), the food is surprisingly very tasty and costs quite earthly money. Everything is served very beautifully, which is important, and in huge portions — two dishes will already be enough to "roll out" from the table. I also want to mention the author's cocktails, in which the combinations of alcohol and additives are very precisely selected.
There are no comments about the service either. The waiters are very friendly, attentive and don't even snort when you ask them to remove some ingredients from the dish. And by the way, do not forget about the guests who are sitting on the veranda outside the general visibility zone (behind the wall).
In general, the food is divine, the service is excellent. Respect to the creators for such an amazing restaurant.

I express my concern about the way the Tsekh restaurant treats couriers. The lack of respect and care is manifested in the fact that couriers are not given the opportunity to be inside the institution while waiting for orders. Instead, a place is reserved for them outside, which is extremely inconvenient and inhumane, especially in cold or rainy weather.
Couriers are an integral part of the service industry, their work and contribution to business deserve recognition and respect. I hope that the Tsekh restaurant will reconsider its policy and begin to provide couriers with proper working conditions. Respect for every person, regardless of their role, is a sign of professionalism and humanity.

Of all the cafes/restaurants/coffee shops visited during the week in Almaty, this place was remembered the most! How delicious it is there! And the food and tea and alcohol are decent! The service was at a good level, we were never forgotten, everything was prepared promptly, the waiters were very nice. Mom Hinkal - ate with one hand, wiped away tears of happiness with the other, it's incredibly delicious! We've been there a few times, all we've tried is 5 points! The price tag is very humane. Live (and most importantly unobtrusive) music on weekends. Delight and absolutely deserved 5 stars! Thanks! We will definitely come back again!
