Hello. I've been wanting to visit this hostel for a long time. There were always good reviews, and the photos were good. In general, I booked a family room for myself and my boyfriend a week ago. I received a confirmation in the mail, as well as a postscript that in case of force majeure they would call me (otherwise why would I leave my phone number). Yesterday we were supposed to check into the room, after about lunch I saw that a notification had arrived in the mail at about 10 a.m. and I hurried to reply that we would be arriving soon. We arrived at about 15.15, we were met by either a surprised or not quite satisfied hostess and told us that all the rooms were occupied. Now a question for those who run this hostel: why ask guests to specify a phone number if you didn't even bother to call and say that you canceled my reservation at your request. The impression is disgusting.

A wonderful place, fully consistent with the cost. The location is certainly not the center, but taxis are not expensive. Delicious breakfasts. Comfortable common spaces. There is an opportunity to cook yourself. Comfortable beds. Wi-fi is available.

The hostel is generally good. The biggest problem is not following the rules: hygiene, mother-in-law's regime, kitchen.. We need order. Everyone does what they want and it makes it very difficult to be here. I hope that the owners will pay attention to this.

There was no water, then the sewerage did not work, the sewerage did not work for 7 days for 4 days, I read the responses right everyone likes everything , bullshit , we lived for 6 days and left the same night, the rooms are really clean when moving in, but they never cleaned out of 7 days, more precisely, from 6 days, and not even anyone hinted at cleaning, and the dog either barks or howls, the staff really all in one place, people come and do not know how to enter the room, they do not meet and slippers are really given out at the reception, please go there with your bare feet, the staff sits late in the kitchen, they are having fun there, so much fun that on the second floor you can hear them laughing, it is interesting who invested in it, because the staff is all in the same place or not, but it was good in the room and the air conditioner was not always turned on as they settled in, worked for 2 days, then they forgot about it and in summer it was stuffy at night, otherwise everything is fine!

I didn't really understand such rave reviews.
Minuses:
We stayed for one night in a double room, met by a not very friendly young man. There was no blanket in the room, instead there was an extra sheet (it was warm, but maybe I like to put a fluffy blanket under my cheek?). The toilet is not very clean, the shower did not leave a desire to use it. It was still noisy after 00:00, and generally poor sound insulation.
Positive:
Beautiful design. There was a table in the room)) Breakfast is small in volume, but quite tasty: porridge or omelet (we tried omelet, it was OK), a table with vegetables, cookies, tortillas. Coffee/tea is free of charge.
In short, I think that the price is too high

The staff is strange, it is not clear who the staff is and who is not, a "crowd" of young guys. I haven't tried breakfast, I can't say anything. The cleanliness of the rooms is also not so rosy, it's terribly uncomfortable to swim in the shower, and you can slip and fall. The hostel itself is beautiful, all the walls are painted, but the behavior of the staff left a bad impression. You may like it, but it's not worth the money!

The price does not match the quality. I lived in a family room with my own. the bathroom. There are springs sticking out of the mattress, you need to find the right place. The pillows are not very comfortable, they constantly fall into a hole. In the bathroom, when you wash, the floor is very slippery, very dangerous. The breakfasts are ordinary. I chose it based on reviews, it is very much appreciated. My son lived nearby, in a hotel, 100 times better and 20% cheaper. In general, I fell for the reviews. I do not recommend a hostel.

An interesting international hostel. You can chat with people from Uzbekistan, Russia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Japan, etc. (this is only 2 weeks of stay). The price is 2,100 rubles for 2.
Cons "-":
- the curtain is not hanging
- the bed linen is old (the pillows are bad)
- there is no furniture (an elementary bedside table)
- the water does not go out in the showers.
The advantages of "+":
- it's almost quiet, sometimes dogs bark under the windows, you can't hear cars
- no one is bothering, everything is calm
- porridge and sandwiches for breakfast

This hostel can give you money, but you don't want to give it back if you didn't like the hostel, they didn't charge me 150,000 with their catfish, but that I stayed there for about an hour, didn't eat, didn't even drink their water, rooms like small windows for convicts, the owner's dog doesn't know who wants where and lives, give them extra money, I would not recommend visiting this hostel, but who else, how is it, and it's not about the money in themselves, I'm polite but really greedy for money very much? And there is nothing available further from the city. To whom, a person is looking for where it is better, and a fish where it is deeper. I do not recommend anyone especially to my friends, my wife and I were disappointed in this hostel, there is not even cold water in the family room, and sit idly by, no action from the outside!!!

Like it · In general, everything is fine - a great hostel, a lot of interesting guests, competent staff. And somehow we were lucky that all the troubles that were expected in this hostel eventually bypassed us. On the first day in the evening they came and did not find our shoes - it is customary to take off your shoes in front of the hostel. We decided to go to another hotel, since shoes are being stolen. But the next day they found our sandals on the feet of one of the guests - they returned them in the end. Breakfast was announced from 8.30, but something broke, they said that by 9.30, we went for a walk, returned by 9.15 and it turned out that breakfast had already been eaten. Before we could get upset, the girl in the kitchen said she would make scrambled eggs for us separately. Special thanks to her!
I didn't like it · The general opinion is this. The hostel is good, the rooms and common areas are clean, the staff are cool. But it all works when there are few people. We were unlucky enough to get to overbooking when a large group of tourists arrived, and as a result, everything went to hell at the hostel - there was not enough breakfast, the shoes were taken away. Well, another important point is that unlike many other hotels and hostels in Tashkent, Topchan Hostel does not include taxes and fees in the booking price - check this beforehand. The price you will eventually pay for your stay will be different from the one you booked for.
