I booked a shared double room on the Island. I arrived in Yerevan after lunch, found this hotel and was very surprised by the lack of guests, the administrator and the presence of workers who were engaged in repairs. There is a terrible smell of paint, and the cans are next to the reserved room. The room itself is in the basement, without windows. That is, it is impossible even to ventilate.
I expressed my indignation and one of the builders called the owners. They arrived, they didn't deign to replace the room (due to the complete discrepancy with the description) and demanded that I leave their hotel, and they didn't even think about refunding the money!! It's good that the Ostrovka manager promptly resolved the issue, for which I am very grateful to her.
I am amazed by the greed of the owners - even during the renovation, they are ready to take guests without thinking about their comfort!
A fly in the ointment of Armenian honey:
1. We learned that there would be no breakfast at 4 a.m. upon check-in. Breakfasts were important, as running around and looking for food before excursions at 7 a.m. is inconvenient.
2. The suite is located at the reception desk at the entrance to the hotel. You can hear everyone coming in and out. The windows of the suite overlook the tables where the citizens drank alcohol and smoked until late at night. The comments were completely ignored.
3. The hotel is under renovation. Arriving at 17.00 from the tour, we decided to take an hour nap, but a drill and a hammer prevented us. And the next day, they found wires sticking out of freshly drilled holes in the wall above the bed. And also the dust from drilling. There was a cleaning lady, but apparently it's not customary to clean up construction dirt. After the outrage, the owners changed our pillows, not even the bedding completely. We were very surprised that we were outraged. For some reason, the hotel owner deleted all correspondence with him from Vacap, apparently destroying evidence. This is the first time such a disappointment with the place of residence, although we are not very picky. But there was a feeling that we were some kind of cattle that lived out of the kindness of the owner and did not deserve minimal respect.
4. None of the staff was on site, only construction workers. Everything was decided by correspondence.
A small cozy hotel, has its own kitchen where you can warm up the purchased food, as well as cook!rooms for any choice, both with large beds and separate ones.it is located in the city center, for such an arrangement it is not at all expensive compared to other hotels.Very friendly staff, especially I would like to mention the owners of the hotel, Karen and his wife Diana, very kind and helpful people who can prompt and help in solving any issue!I was satisfied with my stay of 2 weeks, next time I will stay only here!I recommend 10 points out of 10!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
